Who’s Next???
Posted by Bossip Staff
Several Black congressman who hold powerful “superdelegate” votes at the Democratic convention are rethinking their support for that shady Clinton. Georgia’s David Scott and John Lewis have already switched up to represent how their districts voted. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (Jesse’s son) of Illinois is hitting up Clinton-backed ‘Superdelegates with:
“If it comes down to the last day and you’re the only superdelegate? … Do you want to go down in history as the one to prevent a black from winning the White House?”
It looks like they know Obama is going to win now and want to stay in office. Who’s Next? Maxine Waters, Charles Rangel, Sheila Lee Jackson? Discuss…

DEAR BLACK AMERICANS,
After all of these years and all we have been through together, we think it’s appropriate for us to show our gratitude for all you have done for us. We have chastised you, criticized you, punished you, and in some cases even apologized to you, but we have never formally nor publicly thanked you for your never-ending allegiance and support to our cause.
This is our open letter of thanks. We will always be in your debt to you for your labor. You built this country and were responsible for the great wealth we still enjoy today. Upon your backs, laden with the stripes we sometimes had to apply for disciplinary reasons, you carried our nation.
We thank you for your diligence and your tenacity. Even when we refused to allow you to even walk in our shadows, you followed close behind believing that someday we would accept you and treat you like men and women. We publicly acknowledged Black people for raising our children, attending to our sick, and preparing our meals while we were occupied with the trappings of the good life.
Even during the time when we found pleasure in your women and enjoyment in seeing your men lynched, maimed and buried, some of you continued to watch over our belongings and us. We simply cannot thank you enough.
Your bravery on the battlefield, despite being cl*****ified as three-fifths of a man, was and still is outstanding. We often watched in awe as you went about your prescribed c*****s and *****ignments, sometimes laboring in the hot sun for 12 hours, to *****ist in realizing our dreams of wealth and good fortune.
Now that we control at least 90 percent of all of the resources and wealth of this nation, we have Black people to thank the most. We can only think of the sacrifices you and your families made to make it all possible.
You were there when it all began, and you are still with us today, protecting us from those Black people who have the tremerity to speak out against our past transgressions. Thank you for continuing to bring 95 percent of what you earn to our businesses.
Thanks for buying our Hilfigers, Karans, Nikes, and all the other brands you so adore. Your super-rich athletes, entertainers, intellectuals, and businesspersons (both legal and illegal) exchange most of their money for our cars, jewelry, homes, and clothing. What a windfall they have provided for us!
The less fortunate among you spend all they have at our neighborhood stores, enabling us to open even more stores. Sure, they complain about us, but they never do anything to hurt us economically. Allow us to thank you for not bogging yourself down with the business of ding business with your own people. WE can take care of that for you.
You just keep doing business with us. It’s safer that way. Besides, everything you need, we make anyway, even Kente cloth. You just continue to dance, sing, and distrust and hate one another.
Have yourself a good time, and this time we’ll take of you. It’s the least we can do, considering all you’ve done for us. Heck, you deserve it, Black people. For all your labor, which created our wealth, for your resisting the messages of trouble making Blacks like Washington, Delany, Garvey, Bethune, Tubman, and Truth, for fighting and dying on our battlefields, we thank you.
And we really thank you for not reading about the many Black warriors that parti*****ted in the development of our great country. We thank you for keeping it hidden from younger generations. Thank you for not bringing such glorious deeds to our attention.
For allowing us to move into your neighborhoods, we will forever be grateful to you. For your unceasing desire to be near us and for hardly ever following through on your threats due to our lack of reciprocity and equity – we thank you so much.
We also appreciate your acquiescence to our political agendas, for abdicating your own economic self-sufficiency, and for working so diligently for the economic well-being of our people. You are real troopers.
And, even though the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments were written for you and many of your relatives died for the rights described therein, you did not resist when we changed those Black rights to civil rights and allowed virtually every other group to take advantage of them as well.
Black people, you are something else! Your dependence upon us to do the right thing is beyond our imagination, irrespective of what we do to you and the many promises we have made and broken. But, this time we will make it right, we promise. Trust us.
Tell you what. You don’t need your own hotels. You can continue to stay in ours. You have no need for supermarkets when you can shop at ours 24 hours a day. Why should you even think about owning more banks? You have plenty now. And don’t waste your energies trying to break into manufacturing. You worked hard enough in our fields.
Relax. Have a party. We’ll sell you everything you need. And when you die, we’ll even bury you at a discount. How’s that for gratitude?
Finally, the best part. You went beyond the pale and turned over your children to us for their education. With what we have taught them, it’s likely they will continue in a mode similar to the one you have followed for the past 45 years (since school desegregation).
When Mr. Lynch walked on the banks of the James River in 1712 and said he would make us a slave for 300 years, little did he realize the truth of his prediction. Just 13 more years and his promise will come to fruition. But with two generations of your children having gone through our education system, we can look forward to at least another 50 years of prosperity.
Things could not be better – it’s all because of you. For all you have done, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Black-Americans. You’re the best friends any group of people could ever have!
Sincerely,
All other Americans
@my words fuc is wrong kid, why take up so much *****e. damn. Obama we know. the camp hil-liar are going to pack it in. and let the smooth face boi get it in the white house, that will be renamed the black and white house or even grey house.lol
I still think Hilary is going to win. She is beating Obama by a ton in Ohio. Besides, either way the worsening economy it is going to be in neither one of their favors. I can see when the depression really hits a few weeks here and obama giving the same rundown speech: “we will walk together. We will cross the rivers. We came this far, we can do it till the end!” Uhhh…okay you over enunciating puppet, but how in the ***** is that going to put food in people’s stomachs?
Thought so. All talk. No plan.
I’m a black person from Canada and we will never see a black prime minister in this country, at least not in my generation. I’m 20 years old by the way.
America has the chance to make history and change their social stance on race. I hope Obama wins!
so Bossip, can we get some pictures from the 39th Annual NAACP Image Awards?
I live in TX and hopefully people will show up and out on March 4th.
@ DA DARKNESS
First of all the little comedy wasn’t funny at all and I’m sure everyone will agree…it was just so damn lame kid!!!! And for your information only intelligent young people will appreciate a post like the one I posted before… Its to get you to look at things at a different angle and maybe you’ll change your way of thinking… but like I said it’s for the ones who can read and make since of it.. that alone has already eliminated you… sorry
@heather and other obama haters don’t be silly! “the hil-liar” has been played out. once she became the senator of NY and the citizens there saw all the immigrants come in, and then all the jobs leave people are tired. it’s a wrap for regimes being handed down like furniture the bush&clinton saga is over i repeat over. Obama the essence awards was the telling story it’s multicultral now
it makes sense for those two to switch, they represent Atlanta, GA. Their constituents voted overwhelmingly for Obama. However, Rangel and Waters represent NY and CA respectively which Clinton won with strong leads. I think regardless of all else, they are going to stick with Hillary as their constituents and state voted in that manner.
Jesse Jackson is a buffoon!! No he’s trying to sound like he’s with Obama but here he goes again bringing up the race issue. Isn’t that what helped Jesse lose his joke of a campaign? One can just as well argue that phenotypically Obama is white. Pastors need to stay out of politics. Sheeesh, it’s not enough that he’s tax exempt and gets to spend the congregations money!!! What ever happened to separation of church and state?!?
@”dummy” my words you are preaching to a choir, hang on to your different train of thought, it will derail very shortly. you saying nothing new but who your against and a solution you have none. hush my son and shut your face.
Hello Bossip Community, this is Michelle Obnama. Did anybody see me the other day when I made Stevie Wonder fall on stage. I’ve been wanting to do that since I was a teenager. Anyhow, paint the white house black, *****es. Eric B for President.
I don’t agree with everything Obama say’s but I never agree with what any politician has to say. He has to tighten up what he says that’s all. But I will say when he becomes president I will cry out of pure joy. I can’t wait for him to be the next president although he does have a tough job on his hands…fixing the shyt Bush has made. ****Obama 08***
LOL @ da darkness I guess she told you!!!
Hello Bossip,
I My name is Stacey and I am a precinct Captain from TX for Obama. We REALLY need EVERYONE’s help to do this. Don’t JUST blog, get out and join the movement. Years from now when your kids and grandkids read about our first African American president be able to tell them I was part of that movement, not just I lived during that time. We can’t just talk about it, we have to be about it. Donate 5.00 to the campaign if that’s all you can afford right now. Get your friends and family members to do the same. This is a movement. Change has to come from the bottom up. So Let’s get out and help Senator Obama win this nomination.

Why do you think I give a damn about you having to scroll down a little more because of my long post… If I’m preaching to the choir then do just that.. SCROLL DOWN that means it wasn’t meant for you dumb *****!!!!You just thought you were funny, but failed terribly!!! Find something else to nag about loser!!!
All you dumb ***** out there either it be black, Latina or White. Stop acting like your ***** don’t stink. According to the news 2nd and third generation ASIANS are more likely to vote for Hilary just because she is White and they don’t like change. I don’t even want to get into the infatuation Asian’s have with white people to the point that they have eye lid surgery and die their hair blonde to look more white.
As far as Latina, hell Hil-liar had a Latina woman in her campaign until she fired her because she lost two weeks in a row. Hil-liar the turned around and hired an African American just to get the “black vote” So who uses the race card.
On top of that it was reported in Pennsylvania that folks there are not like to vote for Obama JUST BECAUSE HE IS BLACK.
I am so tired of folks on here trying to manipulate words and pretend that their ***** don’t stink. This is America you can vote for who you want to. So the next time you accuse blacks of voting for Obama stickly cause of his race, What about the Asian and Latino who vote for Hil-lar.
@ bree
i’m looking for those pics too…bossip, whats up?

If Obama wins the majority of regular delegates(which he will) and it takes superdelegates to put Hiliary over the top, I’m going to be so angry, that I will purposely vote for McCain. Not that I believe she is a bad candidate, I’ll just feel like they stole my vote, so why support a party that doesn’t listen to its people!

90% politicians are full of *****, if hilary didn’t play the race card ish she wouldn’t be losing right now, that made her look desperate. Politicians tell you everything you wanna hear, with all of them saying anything its hard to determine who’s really about change
obama for pres.
Why no publicity for Senator McCain on this blog? He’s my one and only choice. The taxcuts will benefit me as a high earner.
The whole system we’re lucky enough to find ourselves in was designed by white men and is best left ran by them as such.
Maxine Waters has already endorsed Hilary Clinton
Look what happened when the civilised state of Rhodesia was turned over to a black ruler in so called “Zimbabwe”? It’s a disaster to take control out of experienced hands.
…watch da turncoats – can’t seat dem in 1 position when dey keep spinnin’.
yes, 1 – HIL-LIAR: …jus another *****!!! …and dat ***** will drive loyals to da republican slide – so many ways to steal a vote. don’t forget how billie clinton’s been hugging all up on da daddy bush, talkin’ bout “they is helpin’ the africans.” well, uh, what happened to da help for ethiopia, darfur, congo, sierra leone, zimbabwe again, & other african nations where there’s no aids budget to suck on.
I must ask, “What is Ron Paul’s plan?”
And the band played on…

Go Hillary, You won New Mexico last night……let’s get going…..keep that momentum up sister. http://www.obamatruth.org. Michelle Obama gets the gas face. Or even worse, not vote at all? Hoe sit your ugly witch face down somewhere.

EXACTLY!!
OBAMA 2008!!
YES WE CAN!!
OBAMA 2008!!
Once again, IGNORANCE at its best. Yes, we Atlantans overwhelmingly support Barack Obama and we expect our political constituents to represent US, not their own self-interests. I applaud Rep. David Scott & Rep. John Lewis for recognizing that their time will be limited if they failed to represent the majority. In the event that the majority of voters in the districts of Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, and Charles Rangel supported Barack Obama and/or Hillary Clinton, they should flood the offices and demand they switch their endorsements. Personally, your vote is your preference but when you are in office (political), your delegates should represent the majority of your constituents. On another note, Michelle Obama has the RIGHT to decide who she will vote for if her husband, Barack Obama, is not the Democratic Nominee. For the record, she’s far from retarded and is a beautiful Black Woman. If you support Bill Clinton, John McCain, Ron Paul, or Barack Obama, you have that right. However, keep that backyard mentality in the BACK YARD! AND NO, the majority of the posters on this site do not support John McCain, Ron Paul, or Hillary Clinton, so get over it!
The Billary Bush cult members hate black people, especially black women. Michelle Obama is and has everything Hillary wants and can’t be and can’t have. Botton Line.
OBAMA 2008!!
@Strong Latino
Wow, I understand some minorities might resent us black folks for somehow achieving greatness even in the midst of the most sever cases of oppression (some of it brought on by ourselves). However, please let me remind you in the U.S the great majority of African-Americans have European and Native blood somewhere in their gene pool and
Barack Obama is no exception to the rule.
If you consider Barack Obama phenotypically white, then what will you say about a black person whose parents are both black, but has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Barack Obama is 100% black and the great majority of blacks are proud of him, because of his achievements and the work he does.
Strong Latino I am sure your opinion was base on your own superiority complex, but maybe you need to cultivate your own great Latino leaders instead of dissecting the blackness of one of our own.
God Bless
Im glad to see some of the old-schoolers come’n around and endorcing Obama. If he becomes President that is going to be one of the biggest events in Black American History and I cant wait to be apart of that. And hopefully, he wont be the last black president of this country.
I must ask, “What is Ron Paul’s plan?”
And the band played on…
Get the ***** out of Iraq in 30 days. Begin the process to end the Income tax. Stop making drug crimes and gun posession federal crimes. End the govermenet regulation of drugs. Leave it up to the state. Get rid of the department of education. Leave schooling to the states. Bring back sound money. Increase national soverignty. Build up our national defense right here at home. Solidify property owner rights. Repeal the patriot act and end the real ID. Build the economy at home. Repeal Nafta. Use diplomacy instead of bombs. I am all about war when it is needed. However, we are fighing a war that has been going on for 5k years. there is no winning it. Basically live our own lives as we see fit and not push our views on those who do not want to hear it.
The list goes on and on. Yep.. Sounds like a plan to me. Take care of your own damn self before you can help anyone else.
Sound money is key as the stock market nears day two of record losses. Obama wants to spend too damn much. Where is the money going to come from???
^^^all the above programs that RP wants to get rid of cost the FED trillion…yes TRILLIONS every year. Off to borrow money from CHina (a gov I though we hated?) Oh well… That’s bush economics for ya!
Oh Hell THAT NAME THAT NAME!! *****!
***** MAXINE WATERS!!!
I think it’s only right for superdelegates to vote based on their districts…it’s the only fair way…otherwise what do the people votes mean if some superdelegate can come in and change the whole game.
That dern Maxine Waters was on the Foxxhole show (w/Jamie Foxx) and he asked her who she would be supporting and she couldn’t even *****ounce Barack Obama’s name. She will not be supporting him and will be backing Hillary. She said she doesn’t know where Obama stands on the issues.
@ Lady Architect
I agree with you 100%
As far as my vote. Last tuesday I voted for Obama. I love his gr***** roots approach to this election. Lets work together to make this county a strong one again. I am a hispanic woman and in all honesty, I dont like the tactics H. Clinton is starting to take. I heard that she was going to file a law suit to reclaim Florida and Michigan delegates, further dividing Democrats. We need unity and change.
wow….is that his thought process on choosing the next prez. shouldn’t it be the best candidate……
If Maxine Waters supports Hillary her ***** is out. Her district voted for Obama…and she is going against her own constituents.
Folks won’t forget that.
This really isn’t about Obama being the first black candidate. This has to do with who have the people actually chosen to be their candidate. These superdelegates need to re*****ess their roles in the political system. If the superdelegates vote at the nomination convention without accounting for the candidate that the people voted for in the primaries and caucases, there are going to be many discouraged Americans out there that will think the system does not favor or honor their votes. The superdelegates should serve as representatives of the people’s votes instead of holding on to their political biases. OUR votes are what should count, not theirs.
Heather, I really wasn’t looking for an answer. I just wanted to point out that Ron Paul’s supposed “plan” is all talk if he can’t get anyone behind him. No one believes or trusts him. I do have a question that I actually want you to answer. Since Ron Paul has a 0% chance of winning even 5th place, who are you leaning towards supporting in the national election? Who would you rather see as the Democratic nominee? Would you vote for McCain over either candidate?
Since Ron Paul has a 0% chance of winning even 5th place, who are you leaning towards supporting in the national election? Who would you rather see as the Democratic nominee? Would you vote for McCain over either candidate?
No I am not voting for McCain, I am not voiting for Obama and I am not voting for Hilary. This election is 8….months….away. What dont you all get about that? It is not over until the last vote is counted on Election day. I love how Ron Paul said….”I dont want to give up now, there is a lot of info about the establishment candidates that only help my race”. This election will be history and it will not be Obama.
Rhetorical questions? You cant retort. that is the long and short of that *****.
I’m all about soulutions not fancy speeches. That’s why I’m voting for Clinton. Black folks are voting based on emotions not common sense. Barack talks alot of ***** and no Hillary isn’t perfect but she backs up her action. Wake the ***** up Black people. Barack is very very crooked. He accepted money from a major slumlord who refused to fix his tenants heat in Chicago in the *****ing winter. DO you know ho wcold Chicago gets? He and Michelle lined their pockets from a Chicago hospital that charges it’s poor and uninsured 340 percent more than insured patients. And that’s the guy you want in office? Don’t be stupid people…we can do better than Barack.
One quick note. the stock market continues to post losses. Could it be that the market recognizes that millions more of home mortgages are set re-set in the next few months adding to the already populated market? It is only going to get worse. What is obama’s plan? bailing irresponsible people out of their own dug hole?
@Rock the jaw, you are right. There is a lot of dirt that the Republicans will use against obama. The only reason why clinton doesnt use it is because she is guilty of the same *****. LOL.
youtube.com/watch?v=J968pFbxf-E
^^^I challenge you Kdogg and all here to watch that video. To the end.
Barack Obama is more African American than the majority of black folks in this country. His dad was pure African and his mom was white. If you look at biologically, he carries more of the black gene than the average black person who is although may not look like it multi-ethnic. Black Americans are mainly African, Asian, American Indian, European Stock. And since arabs and Africans have been interacting for centuries, it’s safe to say, many of us may have arab blood but it’s undectable.
And besides, Obama has been in the community for years helping and creating avenues to better the community. While “real blacks” get their education and money and leave, never look back.
Barack probably knows more about African American history than the average black person who claims, he isn’t black enough to understand the struggle.
Can’t we be happy that a black man, although bi-racial labels himself as a black man, married a black woman, raising black daughters, and take pride in that. Instead questioning his loyality, he didn’t have to claim black, because culturally he grew up Indonesian/white. Try to separate him from his blackness but try to lable Tiger Woods, who claims other and married a white woman.
Be honest, Black women are happy that he married a black woman, and one that is visibly black.
Ron Paul is the candidate of the falsely informed psuedo hip but realistically uninformed voter. The sad thing is he promotes these libertarian views as if they are so new and original. He’s carved out a niche in the republican party for republicans who hate Bush and don’t want to be chastised at *****tail parties for their party affiliation. Ron Paul, if anyone, is all talk and no action. Moreover no possibility of action considering his policies are based on theoretical musings, and loosely connected conclusions that boil down to pure guestimate work.
No one who knows anything about politics is voting for Ron Paul. That should tell you something. Ron Paul has raised just as much money as McCain and his home state is Texas yet he is getting less than 10 % that should tell you something.
I’m tired of these broads coming up in here with their ignorant political pundentry promoting ideas they’ve not studied beyond a website dedicated to electing the candidate they support. Ron Paul? Ron Paul? Really Heather! SMDH.
quite honestly
if you wanna know barack obama’s plan…go to his website or listen, do some research and NOT on some negatives
it’s annoying
hilary’s plan IS UNREALISTIC and if it does somehow get p*****ed….OUR money decreases for the “greater good”
and give up the damn ron paul vote
he’s not going to win
i agree with a lot he has to say but he’s NOT going to win
can people stop it with the “Barack Obama isn’t talking about the issues” garbage. This mess is irritating. People need to start reading, it’s not that hard. Go to his website, and he has his plans written out in stone, plain as day. Health Care , Economy Plan. He discusses the issues. People need to stop waiting around for t.v. news to do segments in which you get clips of information.
Since Obama is gr*****roots, he wouldn’t give a detail account of his plans anyway becaue the average working person does not want to sit through long lectures of their plans. They want to be motivated.
ron paul supporters are negative towards every other politician…they are the biggest conspiracy theorist around….yes i’m being general, sue me
they are so quick to load up a youtube or paste info from a website THAT’S NOT EVEN CREDIBLE…websites made from other conspiracy theorist smh
but they can’t even tell you, how ron paul’s “radical” ideas will get p*****ed with the congress we have today
none of the above would be probable to change just because they’re set in their “old” ways and sold out to support the Clintons. I expect them to stand with the likes of the Clintons, the apples don’t fall far from the tree, birds of a feather stick together. What does that say about them??????????
I agree ari.
Heather, I watched the video. I wish I can have those wasted minutes back.
Seriously though, vote for whomever you want. I actually respect you for having put some thought behind your vote, even if I don’t agree with you.
I still say that no matter how good the candidates plan may be, it will never work/p*****/come to fruition if they cannot drum up support. The candidate is going to have to be believable and liked by many. People believe and like Obama. What’s wrong with voting for a leader that you like, believe, and trust? Whats wrong with hope? I mean, you are hoping that by some miracle Ron Paul gains traction in voters minds.
This is about so much more than just race. He is going to win the White House because he is a good and the best candidate. Just the way he has run his campaign shows he has outstanding leadership, command, organization, and how to just put things together to make them work.
@Who cares really you are a co-sighner/***** rider. don’t be all highfy for that bull***** post. what was told to me. agian
@my words where is your solution re-re stop being a fool. this is a entertaining site drastic notions for change won’t take place here catch up re-re. act as if you’ve had a father and show us you both are not tin heads k

Why did I just read an article that the KKK is endorsing Obama and you don’t have an article about it???
Wait a minute…I’m going to see if there’s a link from that article.
BRB…………………
OK, no link but here is some of the article…
Ku Klux Klan Endorses Obama
February 7th, 2008
by James R. Crowe
Anything or anyone is better than Hillary Rodham Clinton
KENTUCKY – USA – Imperial Wizard, Ronald Edwards has stated that, “anything is better than Hillary Clinton.”
White Christian Supremacist group the Ku Klux Klan has endorsed Barack Obama to be the next President of the United States of America.
Speaking from his Kentucky office in Dawson Springs, the Imperial Wizard exclaimed that anything or anyone is better than having that “crazy ***** b***h” as President.
This is the first time in Klan history that any member of the KKK has ever publicly supported an African American candidate for the presidency.
KKK lodges all over America have been gathering and holding rallies supporting the black p residential candidate.
I thought KKK members = Republicans?
Testing…
@mark that was a bit harsh. go back to africa whoa! listen though yes the murder rates are high but in the white community’s especially here in the u.s. black go after people they know. whites send a death sentence to whomever. the illinois student dressed in all black yesterday, the Oklahoma bombing, the 45 states that have death row, speechless right, yea Obama to the rescue
whats going on with my comments, bossip?
hmm. I did that testing post to figure out why Bossip didn’t print a comment I made to the other ‘Nita’ above talking about the Jamie Foxx show…. the submit comment went through but the post doesn’t appear here; so I tried to post it again and got a WordPress error message about making a duplicate post… but neither comment I’d made is coming up.
Anyway, ‘Nita’, to cut it short (since I don’t know what was in my original comment that warranted having it not show up) I hope you’re real and not somebody stealing handles like what happened to Heather and Nah Nah last week.
@Kdogg, there might be filters in place for certain words, as Heather was talking about the other day. Or it might be something else.
I hope it’s just an innocent filter issue… instead of ’something else’.
After reading bossip comment or others, i would not vote for Obama if i am not black. Waouh, bossip staff members are you stupid, illetrate or not? How somenone, who is not black, will feel when he reads comments like that? Black people only cant put a black in white house. They are a minority. Black people need to interest other no-racist folks from others races to help Obama to win.
@Jan Banga wrote, “Go Hillary, You won New Mexico last night……let’s get going…..keep that momentum up sister.”
I live here. New Mexico was and continues to be a mess.
The state is a Richardson machine, and the Clintons don’t even appreciate what the man is willing to do for them; word on certain political streets is that Bill Clinton actually told Richardson in a phone call ‘aren’t two cabinet positions enough?’ — but who knows if that’s the truth, right? Like trying to figure out whether Bill Clinton made that call to John Lewis last night after Lewis was QUOTED in two different national papers as saying he was ready to switch from Hillary to Obama; and that Clinton call is what precipitated Lewis’ stating he wasn’t switching after all, he was just thinking about what to do and how to use his superdelegate status. Again, who knows.
As for New Mexico, it was a caucus only in that party folks were on hand for speeches and ***** in a way that they’re not for ‘real’ primaries.. but the vote was done primary style. It was a hot mess all over… and Bill Richardson, instead of taking responsibility, tries to shove blame on everybody instead of taking some of it upon himself. Oh yeah, and there’s the matter of: a) insecure ballots (people should not be taking ballot boxes home with them; we saw what happened in Nevada, there was one report of a Hillary supporting stuffing ballots in her purse so they wouldn’t count); and b) there were 17000+ provisional ballots to be countedand added, the vote count only raised by 8000+….so what happened to the other 9000 provisional ballots? why were they dismissed?
I haven’t been able to get to a paper to read what is up with that last one. I’m sure there’s a good explanation. Hopefully. There might be more to come of this. There might not.
New Mexico should have been able to do better. I apologize on behalf of this state, for the poor example it gave on Super Tuesday. There’s blame to be p*****ed all around.
Bossip has been screwing with my posts ever since I turned down their *****istant editor position.
What a joke that was. 55k without health insurance or profit sharing…Please! They also wanted me to agree to sign their non-compete clause. Whatever, I like being able to say what I want to say when, and how I want to say it.
So you rather go down being the one to prevent the first Woman President. Get a life Jesse Jr. What I dont understand is why women woud support Obama and not Hillary. I guess women have it better because they never felt discrimination.
Umm the KKK doesnt support Obama. Once again this proves that Bossip and Obama supporters will believe anything lol. So Obama Supports how do Obama plan implmenting his Health Care Plan? Dont tell me to goto the Website.
@ Nun Ye— ^^^^above^^^^^
I guess you didn’t notice the sarcasm!

@ Nun Ye (PLANT)
Go to the website. No one on this site is your employee or servant and olbligated to define or defend anything for you. People do their own research and post their opinions. If someone chooses to explain public knowledge to you then fine. But you are out of line and manipulative to demand that we not advise you to do your own research.
You are so late with the neo-feminist reverse psychology. Mrs. Billary Bush is certainly no standard or litmus test for women’s empowerment or unity.
OBAMA 2008!!
YES HE IS!!
YES HE CAN!!
YES HE WILL!!
OBAMA 2008!!
why the hell should women care about hilary
she’s degraded the lives of average women all over the country
with her comments towards them^
@black but very well educated. They are shipping high paying jobs over seas as well. Don’t get too *****y. How long do you think that break will last. The tax cuts don’t work. You cannot have this expensive ***** war and not think it will not eventually effect you. If you are so educated you should know that. All of these people getting their homes foreclosed are not all sub-primed.
@Nun-Ye I don’t know why you don’t know what his health care plan is by now he has stated it a million times. He has stated his plan on the economy and a host of other things as well. Just listen. They both have okay health plans. One is a mandated health care plan that means regardless of what you are making you will be forced to pay for that health care plan even if they have to garnish your check. And the other is voluntary and it also allows people to carry their children up until they are twenty-five. I am not sure if you have to still be in college or not I would check that out. But just listen. She is doom and gloom. Everyone knows that things are bad right now, but, she acts like only she has this great magic touch that can fix it on day one and the reality of it is know one will fix it on day one. Regardless of who you are.
Obama’s yo Mama in 08!
What a joke that was. 55k without health insurance or profit sharing…Please! They also wanted me to agree to sign their non-compete clause. Whatever, I like being able to say what I want to say when, and how I want to say it.
WHAT!?!?! 55k? I did not apply but I was just joking at the 50k I was willing to accept. I thought this position paid prolly 30k tops. Besides I could only do it part time, because the job that pays the bills takes priority. GO OBAMA GO!
Damn it! No amount of money in the WORLD would be worth me selling my soul for. I dont support Obama. Never will. “Go OBAMA! Yes WE can!!!”….hell that ***** dont even type right coming from me. I take much solace knowing that my credentials are probably 10x that of the actual Editor.
Back to business.
Why does it have to always be about race.
Damn
Can’t you just vote for the person you think will do the best job.
Don’t vote obama just because hes black
and don’t vote for hilary just because shes a white woman.
Take the time and listen to what they have to say and then decide who you want to vote for.
Oh..and Kdogg…I appreciate you watching it. That is all I asked.
Your reason not voting for RP dont make any sense to me. I’ve noticed that people who diss RP are actually people who share the same ideals that RP has. The only difference is that RP has decades to back up what he believes and has resisted corruption of those ideas. The same can not be said for Obama and the next 7 months are going to be telling of his past in the past 15 years or so. I dont give a ***** that he smoked crack. I do know that he and the company’s he and his wife worked for have done a lot in taking advantage of people who need in most. That is not a rumour but fact. Why Hilary does not touch on it? Because she does the same stuff. As I said.
You’re saying that none of what RP proposes will be implemented. Why are you so sure about Obama? I feel that Obama, given his history and how he has run his campaign is going to be so indebted to so many interests that he aint going to get a damn thing done for blacks to get out of this victim mentality. Ron Paul would get more done than Obama. Why? Because he actually has the backing of the constituion to support what he proposes instead of some social ideology that the Gov should not be invloved with any damn way.
@ lovely and amazing–
Very well put. I was just shy of telling ‘em in a “slightly” different way. Lol!!!
Thanks!
Sometimes reality has a way of delivering a much needed BACKHAND to the silly. What will be interesting to see is a coupla’ years down the road how these old-schoolers spin their support of Clinton.Keep the archive BOSSIP!
BTW…Please don’t make her your running mate Barack!
@ tj
I feel so sorry for the one black kid in the punk club begging alterna-whitey to be down. I feel so sorry the one black kid at the campus Marxist bookgroup begging alterna-whitey to belong. Sad indeed.
Look into Ron Paul, I did. Volunteer a few times, I did. At one point, his campaign was supposed to be the Obama “new day” campaign of this election but Paul’s racism which he hides and talks around very well derailed that.
Personally, I don’t enjoy being a token but your right tj, a lot of hipster alterative black kids do.
I think most folks on these boards have the capacity to look outside the box. Ron Paul has some good ideas but his racism is real and not to be overlooked.
OBAMA 2008!!
YES WE CAN!!
If they don’t support their own, they should be voted out of office
yes, I was really surprised by Magic Johnson’s stance as well. Considering all of the support that we gave him after his aids announcement and we continue to patron his shops that are usually in the hood. some students that i know are almost ready to organize a gr***** roots effort to boycott all of his establishments by standing out front with Barack signs. how can they all say a black man is not ready to be in that position. i’m sure they had to overcome those same challenges getting their black *****es into their positions. why did Dr. Martin Luther King die for anyway? wasn’t it to give us all an equal opportunity that’s based on your merits and not your skin color. Barack is qualified for the job. more so than Bush was…
that’s our problem now. we hate on one another, so all other races have to do is sit back and watch us self destruct.
@black yet very well educated
I have to ask, “what education”, given comments like this: “The whole system we’re lucky enough to find ourselves in was designed by white men and is best left ran by them as such.”
Are you kidding? Our wonderful system has left us with a huge deficit, crumbling infrastructure, failing schools, and terrible health. Not to mention the fact that we are bogged down in a pointless war that is sucking away billions of dollars a week. And the tax cuts you love so much are feeding the deficit that is contributing to the eroding value of our currency. Given that John McCain has repeatedly said he doesn’t understand economics very well, I don’t see how anyone in their right mind can trust him to manage our economy given the state it is in today.
The only way this can be considered a wonderful system is if you work for Halliburton.
The e-mail below was written by my wife, and sent to our peers prior to the Potomac Primary on 2/11/08. I challenge all of our Black Leadership to NOT be afraid of change. Ask yourself this: “What would Martin Do?”

Our parents’ generation sat in the backs of buses, ate at segregated lunch tables and entered through back doors, but not by choice. Then a man of great courage with vision and commitment told them that it was time for them to take a stand and demand change. So, they marched, boycotted, went to jail and died to change their lives and this nation. As the world watched, our parents’ generation forced a country, kicking and screaming, to live up to its’ own Constitution.
As the generation that has benefited most from our parents’ revolution, we find ourselves in a unique position. Again, a man of vision and commitment has called on us to take a stand and change this country. We have the opportunity to affirm our parents’ struggle, to become a generation with the courage to do what no other has had the chance, and to personify the encouragement of our children to do and be whatever they dream.
We have the great honor, privilege and duty to change the face of this nation. We can show the world that a nation with such diversity can make a person of color the leader of the free world. More amazing, you wouldn’t be doing it for just that reason. You would be giving the person with the most vision, commitment and ability inspire amidst doubt and cynicalism, the chance to change how our government and our world.
I can’t tell you who to vote for, but I urge you to believe in the possibilities and consider the enormity of this opportunity. Take a stand. Demand change. Be a revolutionary! Vote for Barack Obama on February 12th, for our children, for ourselves and for our country. Thank you!
Like I figured it go to his website. Noone knows what exactly he is doing, he just make us “feel” good. There are real problems going on in this country and world and spreading hope doesnt stop terrorists from trying to kill us. Spreading hope doesnt p***** a health care bill where my taxes go up. Being President is making tough decisions. Right or wrong. THis isnt some “fairy tale” where Bush isnt in office and our enemies say ok we like you now. This “hope” doesnt slow down Global warming so it doesnt sprial this country into a depression. This “hope” is just what it is “hope” not an action or plan to change. Higher Taxes doesnt solve these problems. He is a “SUPER” liberal and raising taxes is his game. Just check his voting records
@ lovely and amazing
You should know what someone plan is if you are voting for them. Not saying goto the website. If you believe strongly in someone you should be able to persuade someone to why he is correct choice. Most of the reason Black PPL vote for him is simply because he is Black. Not for his Plan on HEalth Care or Terrorism, or the recession that some of the country is experiencing. So Please with the (plant) talk.
Congresswoman Maxine Waters
Waters, meanwhile, has been named among the “20 Most Corrupt Members in Congress,” according to the latest poll from Washington D.C.-based watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics (CREW).
“Rep. Waters’ family members have used her name and connections to make lucrative commercial deals from which they have reaped personal financial gain in violation of House rules,” CREW said of the eight-term Democrat representing South Los Angeles.
Waters’ daughter, Karen Waters, allegedly received hundreds of thousands of dollars by charging for spots on slate mailers issued by a nonprofit organization that sends sample ballots to voters, according to CREW. Waters’ husband, Sidney Williams, reportedly earned hundreds of thousands of dollars by working as a consultant for a bond underwriting firm that seeks government investment, CREW said. Waters’ son, Edward, also benefited from her political connections involving a county lease to run a golf course in South Los Angeles, according to CREW

QUESTIONS
FOR HILLARY CLINTON
“Thanks in no small part to Judicial Watch, Hillary Clinton may
be the most investigated person in the history of the Republic.”
-Margaret Carlson of TIME Magazine
?
Now that Hillary Clinton is an official candidate for President of the United States, the American people will take a long, hard look at her record. And any discussion of Hillary Clinton’s record begins and ends with her crimes and ethical transgressions.
Judicial Watch, of course, has been pursuing both Hillary and Bill Clinton since its inception, launching numerous investigations and lawsuits. However, despite clear evidence of Clinton corruption, so many questions remain unanswered.
If Judicial Watch were given an opportunity to interview Hillary Clinton, here are the ten (plus) questions we would ask first:
Who in the Clinton administration devised the plan to sell taxpayer-financed trade missions in exchange for campaign contributions to the Clinton-Gore 1996 re-election campaign?
Sworn testimony from Nolanda Hill, partner and confidante of the late Clinton Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, points to you as mastermind of the scheme.
Why did you give “factually false” testimony under oath in the investigation of the White House Travel Office firings, as former Independent Counsel Robert Ray stated in his final report.
Ray said his office found “overwhelming evidence” you played a role in the dismissals of the seven longtime employees in the White House travel office, which you denied under oath.
Who hired former bar bouncer Craig Livingstone and ordered him to illegally obtain for the Clinton administration the FBI files of former staffers in the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush?
Sworn testimony and at least one FBI docment shows you hired Livingstone.
?

3
Why did you fail to report more than $2 million in contributions to your Senate 2000 campaign?
Testimony from the criminal investigation and trial of your National Finance Director, David Rosen, shows you knew the total costs of the fundraiser, yet failed to accurately report them.
Your brothers Anthony and Hugh Rodham allegedly brokered cash deals to obtain presidential pardons from your husband on behalf of convicted criminals. Were you aware they were each paid large sums to obtain these pardons?
Did you play any role in any of the 140 presidential pardons provided by Bill Clinton in the waning days of his administration, byp*****ing the normal pardon review process? How about the pardons of the Puerto Rican terrorists in the run-up to your first Senate campaign? Did you have any input on those?
Did you or your lawyers hire private detectives to investigate and intimidate critics of the Clinton administration?
What did you instruct James Carville and George Stephanopoulos to say in order to discredit and defame Gennifer Flowers, a woman with whom your husband had an affair?
Evidence suggests they smeared her at your behest. Did you play any role in smearing and defaming other women sexually and otherwise abused by your husband, including, but not limited to: Kathleen Willey, Paula Jones, Dolly Kyle Browning, and Juanita Broaddrick?
Records from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange reveal that you turned a $1,000 investment in cattle futures in 1978 into to more than $100,000 in ten months… a return of 10,000%. How did you earn such an astronomical, and unbelievable, return on this investment?

•
How much money does Bill Clinton earn from his relationship with Ron Burkle, a contributor to your Senate campaigns, and Burkle’s company, Yucaipa?
Are these funds currently available in bank accounts to which you have access? Will you use these funds for your campaign? How about Bill’s speaking fees, some paid for by foreign interests and governments – what are the financial benefits to you?
How do you explain the mysterious disappearance of your Whitewater billing records from the office of Vince Foster, the former Rose Law Firm partner and Clinton White House counsel who allegedly committed suicide in 1993?
How do you explain the mysterious reappearance of those same records in the White House with your fingerprints on them?
Stopping at ten questions is hard to do. We could ask about her illegal White House fundraising coffees, doing business with the State of Arkansas while her husband was governor, Web Hubbell, John Huang, Chinese generals, the Lippo Group, and paid sleepovers in the Lincoln Bedroom.
These questions are important and relevant as the American people weigh Hillary’s candidacy. We deserve some honest answers.

@ Nun Ye
It appears that you are not as informed as you think you may be about the political candidates and even the current administration. We all know terrorism exists, especially when we reside in a nation that has inflicted terrorist acts on other nations throughout history, including Iraq. Please stop spreading the Bush propaganda, “hope doesnt stop terrorists from trying to kill us”. No, but lack of guidance and direction and pre-eminently attacking a country that was not a threat to you poses a threat to all of us! Personally, I’ve never been threatened by any “terrorist” besides the domestic terrorists right here in the good ole’ USA. We are also aware that this country is IN a depression (thanks to your terror fighting president and his administration). As Blacks, we are not monolithic voters, so don’t be so naive’. We are informed voters that have the opportunity to vote for whichever candidate we elect. Also, Global Warming will not spiral this country into a depression but a fiscally irresponsible administration will, so it is our duty to select the best Presidential candidate for the progression of this nation. Please be informed when you state Obama will “raise” taxes and he’s a super-liberal. You must be a Republican because that’s the same tired rhetoric they speak and ALWAYS raise taxes, send the country into a recession (Reagan, Bush, Bush), and use “Fear” tactics to promote personal agendas. Let’s get realistic. Taxation will never cease and most citizens do not complain about taxes as long as the money is spent for the advancement of the nation. Now, if you want some examples of Obama’s plans, he is introducing the National Infrastructure Reinvestment Bank to rebuild highways, bridges, and other public projects and it is projected it could generage nearly 2 million jobs. He will invest $4,000 in prospective college students as long as they invest in their country (community service, volunteering, Foreign Service, Peace Corps). He is sponsoring a Healthcare initiative to ensure all children in the US have healthcare (and not mandatory healthcare). I can do*****ent his plans all day but I have yet to see you state the agenda/plan of the candidate you are supporting (John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Ron Paul). For the record, at least there’s a candidate that gives us Hope and makes us believe that this country can be better. We know many of “you” would like to remain in the past and keep everything “status quo” but the rest of us are ready for a change and Barack Obama (and his message of hope) is what America needs. Now, tell me what your candidate of preference can do and I hope you’re smart enough not to list John McCain!!
@ lovely and amazing
I have my research and you cant explain why he should be president. Im a Black man so does tha make me a self loathing Blk person? Maybe I should just vote my color instead of my interests. Yeah thats make perfect sense.I’m Black and Im proud! lol
@ Sepiastar
Im a grown man I do not need “hope” I need someone with a real plan. I do care about taxes because I make enough money to care about that. Bush already has a community service for tution and poor children do recieve health care. So when you mean all children, I make over 100K a year, do my child quailfy? Will Obama tuck us in a night too, to make us feel all good and safe.
I guess I would be considered upper middle cl***** and I do not identify as a liberal or a conservative.
I am just a firm believer in the ethic of lifting as we climb. And Obama most represents this ethic for me.
Hillary is too much of the old school mentality of charity-casing black and working poor people. I also do not agree with her universal healthcare that takes away people’s CHOICE to have healthcare or not and penalizes those who choose not to.
There is a middle cl***** who earn to much for public medical *****istance but also find it more managable to independently form their own plan (the flexibility of medical and dental discount plans work for a lot of middle cl***** families).
I am cautious of systems which claim to aid but take away choices for people. There are already programs which need expansion and increased accessibility (ie. Obama’s plan) not mandating and punishment (ie. Hillary’s plan).
I think levelig the playing field is not a threat to Upper Middle Cl***** “status” but rather a threat to Upper Middle Cl***** “staus quo”.
I’m really can’t stand black upper cl***** tokenism, it is so counter progression, and a delusion of equality and advancement.
And I like the idea of finally having a president who knows what it is to work for living and pay bills.
Just my opinion, for all its worth.
OBAMA 2008!
YES WE CAN!
@ Sepiastar
Your post was great.. but I see Nun Ye did nothing but deflect and not answer the question.. Just like the CLINTONS
@ JDUB
Some funny not so serious but interesting news…
Perez Hilton tried to smear Obama as a communist and his now predominately pro-Obama readership has turned on him, funny.
Totally extreme and dramatic but funny…one reader wrote she’d rather drink bleach than vote for Hillary. I almost fell out of my chair because it is such a white girl thing to say but very telling of Obama cutting into her base.
Case in point: it’s not just US blacks on Bossip hip to Billary and down for Obama!!
Obama 2008!!
Yes We Can!!
@ Sepiastar, Jdub, and lovely and amazing
First point I never mentioned Iraq. I said Terrorists. So you not even arguing the same point. A Recession and a Depression are two different economic ideas and this country isnt in a depression its going towards a recession. Two different things read about them both to understand the difference. 85% of Blacks are voting for Obama so yes we are monolithic in voting. Whats the percentage of Blacks voting for Democrats? To slow Down Global Warming is to change many sectors of the economy, mainly the auto industry. He wants 40 m.p.g by 2025, which my seem like a long time away but it isnt. So who has this technology? The Big Three? Maybe it the Japanese automakers, which means more unemployment for autoworkers. He wants to change to ethonal but blocked a proposal for cheaper Brazil ethonal to protect he “special interest group the Corn Farmers”. For social programs he wants “YOU HAVE TO RAISE TAXES!” So unless you arent making any money to tax, people care about their taxes when they take 35% out in taxes. So we dont have a fund for highways and bridges in this country now? His college plan is already in place National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) and this is 4725! You can HOPE or you can actually doing something. I havent stated a another candidate because I dont have a candidate. I can vote for all three or none. I voted for Mitt Romney, because I dont believe in Big Government. So read the Harpers article on Obama for 2006 and his building of a political machine, excellent article. Its called Barack Obama Inc.
I wrote two posting because the first my not get posted
@ Nun Ye
I have to say you bring some interesting points on economics to the the table.
I am not for mandated universal healthcare rather I am for universlly accessible healthcare for those who choose to partake.
I also don’t believe in welfarizing black folks. I’d love to see some serious entreprenurial programs in black communities. And I don’t mean get rich quick programs or more song and dance programs. I mean practical sweat equity programs which create a working and self-sustaining wage. Then we’d be faced with retraining consumers to value these new businesses, not easy especially where race is involved.
It baffles me how The Body Shop can sponsor the talents and foster entreprenurialism in Third World countries but not for the disenfranchised right here. They buy all of their baskets handmade from Third World countries.
Build knowledge and income production. More self-determination I think would equal less tax dependecy.
Just my tid bit so far.
Check in later after dinner.
Obama 2008!
Yes We Can!
Ok,Ok…
First, let me get this out of the way, I am a Hillary Clinton supporter. (Don’t blast me just yet y’all)!
Secondly, I think Barack Obama is a stellar campaigner and would be a fantastic President
Given the chance.
That’s just it, I believe he won’t be given that chance. Why? Well it won’t be because of lack of what appears at the moment to be unprecidented support; no it will be because of the utterly devastating…and proven power of the Republican attack machine.
Yeah I know, some on this blog will accuse me of being afraid and weak. Well let me try to make my case and then judge as you will…but I IMPLORE YOU…THINK.
Some of you may be a little too young or too ‘new’ to electorial politics to remember some of the names and phrases I am going to use:
Wille Horton/Michael Dukakis
Max Cleland/Osama Bin Laden
John Kerry/Swift Boat Veterans For Truth.
The Republicans used the latter against the former on each one of the above lines to devastating effect in 1988, 2002 and 2004 respectively.
If you don’t know who and what these people and organization are a quick google search will illuminate.
What does this have to do with Barack Obama?
You better believe that the republicans will use the same tactics on him as they have in the past.
But this time he will have THREE names placed around his neck like proverbial millstones.
The following is from OpEDNews.com as I am not eloquent enough to express fully what is I believe, a coming storm:
Tony Rezko:
Americans know nothing of Rezko’s bribery and corruption trial. Not yet. But that will change starting 25 February, when Rezko goes on trial in Chicago. The best Obama can hope for is an acquittal or mistrial. He cannot deny his longstanding friendship with Rezko. A man who has played a significant role in raising funds for his political campaigns and a man who helped Obama and his wife get the home of their dreams.
But it is highly unlikely that Rezko gets off. He just got nailed for lying to the Judge about his alleged poverty and was promptly arrested for hiding millions of dollars overseas. And he is up against Patrick Fitzgerald. Pat Fitzgerald does not go to court unprepared and does not have a record of losing, particularly in Illinois. Remember, this is the guy who nailed Scooter Libby and the former Governor of Illinois. The boy plays to win.
When Rezko is convicted and, the details of the corruption and bribery charges are fleshed out and the public learns that Senator Obama got some of that dirty cash, do you really believe the public won’t care that the Democratic nominee for President is involved with a convicted felon? Hell, this is a political attack ad that writes itself.
William Ayers:
William Ayers is an unrepentant terrorist, though he is normally described as a distinguished education professor. One does not necessarily rule out the other, but he himself acknowledges planting bombs in U.S. Federal buildings. There is now undeniable proof of a longstanding relationship between Barack Obama and William Ayers. We are not talking about two guys who just happened to bump into one another on the street. We are not talking about a secret admirer (Ayers) who quietly sent $200 to an aspiring politician.
No, we are talking about William Ayers hosting a fundraiser for Barack Obama and actively working with him to secure Barack’s first electoral victory in Illinois. But wait, there is more. Barack and Ayers also served on the board of the Woods Fund. And they worked together to give money to some other folks, including a group with ties to the PLO.
What makes Ayers so toxic is his own written record equating U.S. Marines with terrorists. Look at the beating that John Kerry took for tossing his medals over the White House fence. Ayers did not toss medals, he threw bombs. Real ones. Bombs that exploded.
Do you think that Republicans will ignore Obama’s ties to Ayers? The two were serving on the same board in 2002. We are talking less than six years ago and the record will come out showing some questionable grants by these two characters. William Ayers, in the age of terrorism, will be Barack Obama’s Willie Horton.
Rashid Khalidi:
So far, the press has paid little attention to Obama’s ties to Rashid Khalidi, Middle East Professor at Columbia University and PLO activist. An article in The Jewish Week from last year offers up this tantalizing tidbit:
Khalidi, now the Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia University, and head of that school’s Middle East Institute, declined to comment on Abunimah’s recollections. But in an interview in Tuesday’s Daily News, he said he hosted the fundraiser because he and Obama were friends while the two lived in Chicago. “He never came to us and said he would do anything in terms of Palestinians,” Khalidi told the paper.
Nevertheless, one Hyde Park source close to Obama, speaking only on condition of anonymity, recalled, “He often expressed general sympathy for the Palestinians – though I don’t recall him ever saying anything publicly.”
Obama has made his pilgrimage to AIPAC (funny, but in his campaign against special interests and their grip on Washington he gives AIPAC a p*****) and worked to position himself as a friend of Israel. But the relationship with Khalidi has not yet received the white hot media attention that tends to occur during the dog days of July and August, when the press needs a story. And guess who helped broker the appearance of Iran’s Ahmadinejad last summer at Columbia University? Professor Khalidi. New York Times had his reaction to the event:
Rashid Khalidi, a professor of Arab studies and director of the Middle East Institute at Columbia, said, “The tone from the host of an event was uncivil and uncalled for.
“The president of the university had every right to state his differences,” he said. “That was more than acceptable. But I believe it was embarr*****ing to the university, frankly, that they should decide to invite him and then treat him in this manner.”
Now, which Presidential candidate is calling for talks with Iran? You do not have to be Karl Rove or Lee A*****er to figure out how to tie Obama with Ahmadinejad using Obama’s friendship with Khalidi.
I don’t know what else is out there on Obama. Unfortunately, the worshipful, servile attitude of many Democrats and media personalities so far has hindered a tough look at Obama’s friends and *****ociates and his judgment. But that will come. What should concern Democrats keen on taking back the White House is whether or not these issues will be fully vetted before Obama is installed as the candidate. My guess is no.
Simply put Ladies and Gentleman, can we really AFFORD another 4-8 years of Republican Rule?
I have even read on this blog that if Senator Obama does not get the nomination…you are to stay home during the general election in November.
Folks, repudiate that mindset completely.
Prove to all that care to listen…that you are inteligent, fair, ADULT and most of all full of outstanding character. Prove that you fully understand what’s at stake and are willing to back up that understanding for ALL OUR SAKES!
I will throw my support to Senator Obama if Hillary fails…ethusiastically.
For he will truly be indeed, our last best chance. Please do the oposite if the time comes.
Thank You.
