Terrence Howard sells lemonade outside of the Ritz-Carlton to raise money for the child cancer charity, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, with his son.

Also, the other day he was talking about the relevancy of President Obama and got severely out of pocket:

Hustle and Flow” actor Terrence Howard came to Washington last week and revealed to Green and Glover some political views that deviated sharply from the usual Hollywood groupthink. As if that wasn’t politically incorrect enough, the suave, soft-spoken Oscar nominee went on to say: “I don’t think President Obama has been that revolutionary in reaching out to ethnic communities. President Reagan did a lot for the black community that people don’t realize.”

Mr. Howard also lamented the pressure politicians face not to change their minds. “We all change our minds. Look at me. I married, then divorced, married her again, and now I am divorced again,” he said with a laugh about his marriage to Lori McCommas. Let’s hope he gets it right next time. He told G2 he is recently engaged to a “crazy half-Filipino, half-Irish woman.”

Reagan? Did this fool just say Reagan?

You have got to be kidding!! ROFLMAO!! President Obama has only been in office since January, and this simple negro, Terrence Howard, is ALREADY doing a comparison to Ronald Reagan! LOL!! Just what does Terrance Howard know about the black community? After all, this sell out negro only marries and has a thing for WHITE women. He must need gullible women whom he can control, and a black woman won’t put up with his crazy (baby wipes)ish!

Yeah Regan did a lot. He put crack on the streets of every ghetto. Took away veteran’s benefits. Supplied the Afghani with $$$ & weapons to fight the Russians in the 80′s, that they now use to fight us. Set up The New World Order (research it). Oh yeah, and didn’t want to start researching a cure for AIDS. His opinion was, “Let Them Die”. When will Terrance stop breathing? I’ll be over here, call me.

I HATE TO ADMIT IT BUT HE IS RIGHT! OBAMA IS FULL OF SCANDAL AND HE HAS ONLY BEEN IN OFFICE ABOUT SIX MONTHS. TOO MANY MINORITIES ARE NOT CLOSELY FOLLOWING THE NEWS AND PAYING ATTENTION TO THE POOR JOB OBAMA IS DOING. WE CANNOT BLAME THINGS ON THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION ANY LONGER BECAUSE OBAMA IS MAKING MAJOR AREAS IN OTHER AREAS SUCH AS FOREIGN POLICY AND “STIMULUS MONEY”!! GIVING OUT MONEY WE DON’T EXACTLY HAVE DOES NOT STIMULATE THE ECONOMY. IN MY STATE HE ISSUED 11 MILLION DOLLARS OF “STIMULUS” MONEY TO REMODEL PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECTS! CAN ANYONE HONESTLY EXPLAIN HOW FIXING UP THE PROJECTS STIMULATES THE ECONOMY?? I AM TIRED OF THE MENTATILITY OF NOT BEING ALLOWED TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST HIM WITHOUT BEING CALLED A HATER OR EVEN WORSE! HE IS SIMPLY ANOTHER MAN WHO WAS FULL OF HYPE!! HE OFFICIALLY HAS ABOUT TWO MORE YEARS OF OFFICE AND THEN THE FINAL YEAR WILL BE SPENT SEARCHING FOR HIS REPLACEMENT IN OFFICE!

On another popular website there was a Blind Item about which black male celebrity will sell his soul for mainstream acceptance. He has no problem verbally attacking successful & famous blacks and siding against blacks in situations concerning racism. There were many guesses for Terrance and D.L Hugley. Now I am starting to think it’s Terrance.

  • Ignorance is Contagious

HE IS RIGHT! Reagan has done a GREAT DEAL for the Black community. He is is the first president who was able to convince America that the drug problem was actually a Black problem and shows like Cops were created which gave the image of the crack addicted Black community. Because of Reagan, scores of Blacks were sent to jail, while 80% of all drugs were being consumed in the Suburbs. Yes, Mr. Howard Reagan has done a LOT!

  • Sydney™

I clicked on the accompanying link, and I had to laugh that the quote came from an item published in The Washington Times, which is probably one of the most conservative publications in the nation.

I suppose, if I could, I would ask Mr. Howard a follow-up question on how exactly Reagan “reached out” to ethnic communities? Was it his trickle-down economic policy? His administration’s push to have ketchup classified as a vegetable in schools? His positions on affirmative action and civil rights?

I’ve thought Terrence has had a myriad of issues for a while now, and this is just further confirmation. Methinks he needs to sit down in a corner.

  • FACINGREALITY

And this is why this green-eyed fool is not in Iron Man 2 he is too full of himself. It is sad that as a people we can find more wrong then right with our own and even more that we have the audacity to put it out there in the air-waves.

Bush was a terrible president (so was Reagan) and yet you don’t hear his people speaking these things out loud. They are taking that ish to the grave. As a people, we are our OWN worst enemy and that is why we suffer much. Every other race can co-exist with the exception of Blacks who define success by how much materially they own instead of financially. Hispanics, Asians, Whites and even Native Americans can all co-exist in the smallest of spaces, saving their paper and only separating when everyone in the family gets paid. Blacks won’t do this, everybody has to have their own and could care less if the next man is taken care of and in the ultimate end we own NOTHING but cars, clothes, shoes, rims, things you can’t use to get a loan or collateral for a business.

It’s sad but its true – We are our OWN worst enemy and Obama knows that it was the WHITE people that put him in office so why concentrate on those who do nothing for you but complain and won’t vote. I’m sure you’ve not forgotten how most of the high power blacks were for Hillary.

  • chochachoppa

LOL! Somebody tell Mr. Howard to pick up a book so that he can finally understand what really happened in the Reagan era. An unbiased look at what Reagan really did to African-Americans can be found here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5158315/

President Obama appears to me to be an intelligent, level-headed, compassionate, articulate and sincere person. If the exacutive decisions that he makes are continued to be based upon these qualities, his ratings will remain strong, and the nations socio-economic recession will eventually reverse.

And this is coming from a heretofore, apolotical person….

  • Quantum

    $exEcutive decisions$

  • chochachoppa

    @sxyQblondie
but you know what earmarks are and why they were stimulus packages right? What about earmark-addicted Republicans, who oversaw an unprecedented explosion of earmarks when they controlled Congress, resisted efforts by Obama and other Democrats to inject accountability into the earmark process, and even grabbed over 40% of the earmarks in the current bill, yet have the gall to blast Obama’s cave-in? Even John McCain, the leading crusader against earmarks, who railed against Obama’s acceptance of the spending bill on the Senate floor weeks ago, made exceptions during his presidential campaign for earmarks for Israel and military housing, as well as a ferry service for an impoverished Alabama town he visited over the summer.

Earmarks were made for hypocrisy; they’re always reprehensible when they’re in someone else’s district.

  • Quantum

    sxyQblondie/WOW

The difference between living in a run-down apartment vs living in a sanitary, structurally sound apartment = all the difference in the world to a single mother or young family, for obvious reasons. This indirectly ‘stimulates the economy’.

I hope that this isn’t your only beef with Mr. Obama. His impact on this nation and the globe has been overwhelmingly positive. But more times than not, when a person has made up their mind, they cling to their negativity, without further examination.

Step back and think about it….

  • DR.FUNK

    @ IGNORANCE IS CONTAGIOUS:

Don’t forget AIDS.That became OUR FAULT too according to the propaganda machine(s) running during the Reagan years.

  • chochachoppa

After taking office in 1981, Reagan began a sustained attack on the government’s civil rights apparatus, opened an assault on affirmative action and social welfare programs, embraced the white racist leaders of then-apartheid South Africa and waged war on a tiny, black Caribbean nation.

So thorough was Reagan’s attack on programs of importance to African Americans, that the Citizens Commission on Civil Rights, an organization formed in the wake of Reagan’s attempt to neuter the official U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, said he caused “an across-the-board breakdown in the machinery constructed by six previous administrations to protect civil rights.”

America’s move to the political right
During his two terms in office, Reagan captured, solidified and came to personify America’s move to the political right. His greatest legacy is as leader of that swing in the American political spectrum. That shift made “liberal” a dirty word and Democrats cower. What had been conservative became moderate. What was moderate was pushed to the left wing. The shift was so pronounced and profound that black America giddily embraced Bill Clinton despite his promotion of programs, criminal justice and welfare policies in particular, that would have been called racist and reactionary under Reagan.

“Ronald Reagan, it is fair to say, was really an anathema to the entire civil rights community and the civil rights agenda,” Ronald W. Walters, a professor of government and politics at the University of Maryland, told BET.com just a few hours after Reagan died, at age 93, on Saturday.

@wow – thank you for responding so intelligently to sxyQblondie

@ sxyQblondie – A lot of people are paying attention, and it is unfortunate that Obama has done so much in 7 months and misinformed people do not understand that. It seems that you are the one focusing on color and assuming that people are blinded by the fact that we have a black president and you feel the need to overly critique him based on you lack of information. If he were a white president, I doubt that you would even question is ability to handle the economy especially so early in his presidency.

He is helping to fix an economy that was ruined because of the last 8 years. People complain about the stimulus amts, but that was being done under Bush and any other person in office would have to use tax dollars to stimulate the economy. The only difference is how the money is being spent. Like wow stated, he has prevented foreclosures, increased jobs, regained America’s respect across the world, and is actually working on a healthcare resolution. Yes, there is money going to big businesses and banks, but they need it. Regardless, of what you may think, our country needs big businesses and banks to prosper, especially to get out of this recession. Obama has been pushing for more regulation in these areas b/c lack of proper regulation is one of the major causes of this recession.

Further, he has only been in office for 7 months and so people are still feeling the left over effects of George Bush’s presidency. There is no way to blame any of the country’s present economic problems on Barack Obama right now. It is simply too early. I know things are tough so people are looking for someone to blame, but that person is not him. Anyone who does not understand this is simply foolish.

  • LadyS

@Shawn – your logic is based on non-factual information and seems a bit ridiculous. I’m not saying you have to love Obama, but come with correct facts. It is simply not factual that Obama has not worked a day in his life, but I’m not going to get into that b/c the info is easy to find.

Further, the only one’s borrowing are big businesses, which if you truly understood how America’s economy works, you would know need to have the money. Not only for their own survival, but to keep this economy from further sinking. Since you seem to know it all, what do you propose be done for the economy? Keep all the money while businesses fail, people lose more jobs and as a result their homes, etc?

True. But I will say this. Right now because of the economy, there are going to continue to be high unemployment rates amongst blks, especially ones with no education. Last week it was around 15% and they are expecting it to reach 30%, for blks. You also have to remember that we are the last hired, first fired. The auto jobs are no more, they have outsourced everything. Kids going to college now-a-days will have a HUGE bill, at the end , but won;t be able to get a job, to pay for the education. The ENTIRE financial market has taken a beatdown, because it was propped up artifically for so long. When that bank in the Carribean closed, who did it affect the most? They couldn’t get their money out. Here in the states there was Madoff, (not too may blk victims) but my point is most of those people have too many kids, records, other things holding them back and with ALL jobs leaving, I don’t know how many will be standing, when it’s all over…

BTW: I think ALL welfare programs (except for the elderly) need to be eliminated. You don’t work, You don’t eat. ANd I think if the U.S. did this, you would see alot of people, get their act together, unfortunately, that’s what it would take…

Prez Obama is more concerned with keeping people from blowing us the “f” up than with going around trying to hook up black folks (yes, I’m black). Let’s try to rely more on ourselves and less on one man to do for us what we should be doing for ourselves in the first place. Once we realize that there is no human saviour of “the people” and that God has equipped each and every one of us to do for ourselves while we’re on this earth, then we’ll still continue to be in the same state: waiting on someone to hook us up.

We can start by working together and holding each other accountable. Expect and exhibit quality in everything that we do.

why is it that if any person of color chooses to criticize Obama in any way that somehow they are an sellout, self-loathing Uncle Tom..that’s the problem in the black community instead of seeing Obama as a politician they see him as the solution to ALL their freaking problems therefore failing to acknowledge his flaws…Obama has been in office for only six months and has already managed to accumulate more debt that ALL the previous presidents COMBINED…and somehow we cant criticize him….BS…he is destroying this nation single handedly and I refuse to sit him and let him do it all in the name of race…

and besides he has had the audacity to compare himself to lincoln(one of the greatest presidents) so why not compare him to reagan….

Folks always say “Obamas only been president a few months” as an answer to what some perceive as his shortcomings. In the same vein, I don’t think we can really give him credit for doing anything really good for the same reason. It’s easy to compare a man who has served his entire term(s) to one who has just started his but it’s not really fair. Let’s look at the sum of all things when Pres. Obama’s term(s) is over AND THEN see what good/bad he’s done on his own merits and in relation to his presidential predecesors.

And to whoever was talking about the projects and “welfare mother”, you need to get a clue. If you’ve never lived in the hood, don’t make assumptions about the people who do live there. There are trifiling people EVERYWHERE.

And I’m no big fan of Regan but I think it’s unfair to pin AIDS on him. Nobody at that time knew what a monster it would be and how it would terrorize the globe. In the 80s people didn’t even understand the disease and it’s a tragedy that more wasn’t done in the way of research and prevention outreach back then but that’s a whole lot of people’s fault… not just Reagan.

This is true. But when people start tlking about race, I will back Obama all day long. I do believe that he, is not in control and yes, there are plenty of decisions that he has made, that I don’t agree with; but that’ no different than any other president’s policies,–I didn’t always agree with them either, but when interjecting race, complaining about Obama taking his wife out, where were all these people when George and all the other wht pres’s do the same. They have no response for that. Don’t pretend that the race issues are what the far right try to use to show Obama’s “incompetence and bad decisions” when really it’s just more race-baiting and the same ole same ole… Did Gingrich and Limbaugh, coulter act this way when whts were in office, the have said they want him to FAIL. What kind of bs is that?

THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT AMERICANS. TRUE AMERICANS KNOW THAT THIS COUNTRY IS A MELTING POT AND WE WELCOME EVERYONE…

AS LONG AS THEY COME LEGALLY…

So give me a break with all the analyzations, he hasn’t even been in office for a year and look at the bs, people are trying to give… Look what he inherited….the economic collapse, housing crisis, banks failing, auto industries failing, big business failing, stock market failing…

GIVE HIM A BREAK. HE”S NOT GOD…He just started his job, do you have the same accountability in yours, with the whole world looking over your shoulder? STFU aand GTFOH.

Yet,some of you idiots THINK he was qualified enough to run our COUNTRY? He couldn’t even pronounce words correctly.

    @ White Devil (interesting choice)

It sounds like you’re mixing T.V. with real life. You sound like a Fox News pundit, with your backwards self. Do you even realize how much money goes into the fight against AIDS, which started in the Clinton era, do you? Do you also understand that MANY successful strides have been made in the fight for prevention & slowing down the spreading of infected cells in people living with HIV & AIDS? Have you heard of Magic Johnson?!
Second, are you 18 years old, were you not alive in the 80′s?! Ever heard of the “Just Say No” campaign started by Nancy Regan (while the govt was fighting a FAKE drug war). Like someone above mentioned, the yuppies were doing TONS of coke, yet the minorities were getting locked up for selling. You think dude on the corner in Bed Stuy was flying to Colombia to pick up his own shit! I’m not a conspiracy theorist, I read real news & I research what I speak of. I implore you to do the same before you hold someone like Regan on high.

and back in the 60s’, when they were fighting for civil rights. don’t u think that despite their white partners, as black people they were still facing racism?
and what do u have to say about shelby steele and his white wife and him being the very racist voice for the GOP?

Yeah Reagan did so much for black people! He coined the phrase “welfare queens” if you ever wonder where the phrase comes from. That word alone should you tell you how he and the Republican Party see African American women and our people all toghether.
    _________________________________________

Yeah but the sad part of it is… he didn’t make it up out of nothing. Yeah, Reagn sh*tted on us but damn if we didn’t give him (and others) amunition. I’ve seen the whole “welfare queen” phenomenon first hand in my own hood and it’s beeen going on since the 60s. Regan didn’t create it, he just described it and aired the dirty laundry of all the blacks (and whites, and hispanics, and everybody else) abusing the welfare system.

I also stated that i’m a troll. I personally could care less who people date/marry, just don’t come sideways with their “I CAN, BUT YOU CAN’T” double standard…It’s very “ANIMAL FARM-ISH” to me (personally). It’s 2009, and we’re all individuals and should be able to date/marry who we want. What I take umbrage, is when some so these sistas’ accuse blackmen of “SELF-HATE” when they swirl, but when they (the sistas) do it, it’s out of some organic-like love or attraction. I have nothing against Shelby Steele or his white wife, due to the fact that I don’t think every GOP member is racist…Me, (politically) i’m a libertarian.

…Now as far as Dianne Carroll, Sydney Portier & Harry Belafonte is concerned, as you stated, it was the 60′s, which was the height of the Civil Rights Movement. Them exclusively dating/marrying “WHITE” during that time (to me) not only showed a lack of tact, but was the height of arrogance, hypocrisy, and just being totally out of touch with that current climate…It would be like Nelson Mandela marryin’ Ava Braun, while protestin’ Apatheid…It just doesn’t mesh.

Ok I am slowly loseing any respect I had for this cat. I mean Regan come on ! first of all- His whole “trickle-down economics”—His belief that tax policies that would benefit the wealthy would have a “trickle-down” effect to the poor. Reagan’s policies benefitted the wealthy more than those living in poverty and that’s why those living in poverty during his life time did not benefit. The reality was that the rich got richer and the poor got poorer because the rich don’t like to share their wealth. So instead of creating jobs and opportunitys for minorities and those in poor economic conditions it only helped the rich.So I think that Terrence “Baby wipes” Howard should get his facts straight before openning his mouth. That’s why black people can’t get any where. We’re always ready to tear each other down and build the white man up.

  • http://Bossip Truth Teller

I think many Blacks really need to take relax…

It’s hella crazy for any Black person to say that a Black person needs to “shut up” just because they may have a different view of Obama!

Yeah,I believe Obama is getting treated badly by the greedy media and racists like Rush Limpballz but at the same time that don’t mean that black people got to be silent when it comes to Obama.I feel that Blacks who think Blacks got to be in lock step, are still on the plantation!

I supported Obama but I did look at him sidewayz when he criticized Black men last fathers’s day during the campaign especially since I didn’t see him criticizing his other half as in white people when they were saying all kinds of racist shyt against him.The thing about Obama is that I believe he’s trying to implement certain policy that can be beneficial for Black people that need it,but he’s going through others like Holder to do it,in other words Black people have been relegated to go through the back door and everybody knows it except the dumb worshipping Black people who are so worshipping Obama, his wife, children and Bo!

Too many Black people get caught up in the visual of things when it comes to Obama but too many are just plain stuck on stupid when it comes to what is really going on!

It’s the truth. The truth of the matter is, black people as a whole came up under Reagan, and we’re continuing to go down under Obama. Black people are so politically blind, stop believing that liberals are for you and conservatives hate black people, thats a liberal lie. the facts are the facts:

From the end of 1982 to 1989, black unemployment dropped 9 percentage points (from 20.4 percent to 11.4 percent), while white unemployment dropped by only 4 percentage points. Black household income went up 84 percent from 1980 to 1990, versus a white household income increase of 68 percent. The number of black-owned businesses increased from 308,000 in 1982 to 424,000 in 1987, a 38 percent rise versus a 14 percent increase in the total number of firms in the United States. Receipts by black-owned firms more than doubled, from $9.6 billion to $19.8 billion.

Reagan was soooooooo bad to us! He gave forced us to take crack!!

i just love how so many people are so quick to criticize and judge president obama, yet, i do not see ANY of these people making any trips to Washington D.C., trying to come up with any solutions to the problems that America currently faces. The one thing that I can say about Obama is that at least he is WORKING towards a solution to our problems. And, please note and understand, this isn’t something that can be fixed overnight, and anyone who thought that it could be must be smoking out of the same pipe as our good friend, mr. terrance howard is. So, I put it to you this way, if you do not have a better solution to our problem, OR if YOU think that you could do a MUCH better job then our CURRENT PRESIDENT, by all means, do so. Because, after all, YOU have all the answers to AMERICA’S problems. But, if you don’t have any better ideas to how our country should be wrong, do yourself, and everyone else, a simple and easy favor… SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP! BECAUSE YOU SITTING HERE AND CRITICISIZING A PRESIDENT THAT HAS NOT BEEN IN THE OVAL OFFICE FOR A YEAR, WITHOUT COMING UP WITH A LOGICAL OR EVEN BETTER SOLUTION FOR OUR PROBLEMS, IS NOT HELPING OUR COUNTRY IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, AND/OR FORM. • Girl440

Interesting dialogue, people. A lot more compelling… for some of us :) than Ambers latest cake shots.

Reagan did do a lot in his eight years:

Reagan raised the national debt from the billions to 3 trillion. That’s 3 trillion in 1980s dollars, people – for everyone complaining about the debt Obama is racking up with stimulus plans, tell me what Reagan’s paper translates into in 2009 dollars (my 9 year old says “quadrillions?”)

As someone else mentioned, trickle-down economics – the Tax reform act of 1986 that cut taxes for the riches of the rich from 70% to 28% and gave the burden to the middle class.

Tax Reform impacted the AMT (alternative Minimum tax) to this very day congress says the middle class is paying disproportionately and needs a break but guess what? The IRS is making so much money from AMT they cannot afford to see it get reformed!

The Savings & Loan crisis, anyone? Over 700 thrift failures, driven in large part by the above-mentioned tax reform. Another Reagan legacy.

Does anyone remember when you could deduct the interest on your credit cards from your taxes just like homeowners do mortgage interest? That was great economic stimulus… charge it all up, deduct a years worth of interest at tax time. But guess what? Another present from Reagan – he took that deduction away as well.

Welfare – Reagan cut the hell out of gov’t programs AND welfare/medicaid/spending and raised social security taxes and it backfired on white america. White america lauded him for doing it at first, then their azzes went into “shock and awe” when they saw how many of their OWN numbers got caught up in the cuts, cause all it did was expose a shytload of WHITE folks on welfare.

The media historically sings the percent song about welfare – y’all know the song,…it goes like this: “almost 40% of blacks but only 33% of whites use gov’t assistance programs”. Now u don’t have to be a math whiz to figure that 40% of Black population is 15.5 million, and 33% of white populace is 81 million… ’cause the percent fits the stereotype better.

I could go on, but yes – Ronald Reagan did a lot for Blacks during his tenure, but I wouldn’t say it was beneficial.

And for those throwing Obama comparisons into the fray, as so many others said, give him his 4 years – June 20th will only be 5 months, and he has a lot of work to do repairing & working with choices and decisions from the previous administration.

Also lots of inferences that anyone defending Obama is doing so because he’s Black and we are blindly following his every edict like lemmings over tha cliff. And on the flipside, if you disagree with Obama you’re a sellout and a prime example of no unity amongst Blacks. I’m sooo confused – Is race really the main factor here? Can we disagree without tossing out the race card? Or am I being naive?

It’s funny, but I have several caucasian co-workers who are seemingly scared witless over President Obama’s election victory.

For 1 thing, they actually believe that Mr. Obama will soon install concentration camps within the US. I have not researched where these ideas originated from, but they sure believe it.

They are rushing out to purchase firearms and ammunition, because supposedly, President Obama will try and take their guns away as well.

Funny thing is, President Obama has a very humanistic, inclusive personality….he seems to want to have everyone sit at the table with him. He rarely fires back at detractors; he knows that he can win them over, face to face.

I admire the man, because he reminds me of myself.

Thank you Girl440! and THATs just economic related, as far as Public Relations go, I DONT know where Terrance got that idea of him reaching out better to Minorities was when Reagan was basically supporting/indifferent to Aparteid and even vetoed sanctions (even against his own Republican peers wishes). This guy wasnt for MLK’s bday and only signed it because so many senators voted for it…also if im not mistaken he supported federal aid for a college that OPENLY discriminated against blacks and other minorities

Get one thing straight.Nobody puts a crack pipe in your mouth nor blows it up your nose. It’s an individual choice to use illegal drugs or not.
It’s an individual choice to drop out of school and hang on a corner selling drugs.Or not.
It’s an individual choice to have multiple pregnancies without any job or stable relationship and drain the taxpayers by abusing the welfare system.Or not.
As black people we need to stop looking for a scapegoat or a savior in the White house and take responsibility for our own lives and build our communities and country.

OK, I found what I was referring to about the discriminating college. It was Bob Jones University in South Carolina:

Reagan fought to revoke the Internal Revenue Service’s authority to deny charitable tax exemptions to the school. The denial was over the school’s ban on interracial dating.

The Supreme Court, in an 8-1 decision, rebuked Reagan, saying schools that practice racial segregation can indeed be denied tax exemptions. Reagan would later appoint the lone dissenter, William Rehnquist, to chief justice.

I’d be more inclined to be listen to his perspective if he compared ‘apples to apples.’ Six months in office (Obama) versus 8 yrs. in office (Reagan) in no way makes for a balanced comparison. We don’t even know if Obama is going to be reelected, so Mr. Howard is just jumping the gun and speculating at this point. In addition, perhaps he’s like to remember that Obama was elected as President of the United States of America, not just black folks.

rachel give me some STATISTICS if you’re going to make that argument. the black middleclass went up significantly under reagan.

the reason blacks and whites were becoming equal was because EVERYONE WAS GETTING POORER AND STRUGGLING. Do your research. there’s a reason Carter was wiped out and won something like 5 states in 1980. Duh. But you probably think thats a good thing because when you live at a certain economic level, socialism and government dependency sounds good, but its really not.

i see you will say nothing about your messiah cutting money to historically black colleges? ending vouchers for D.C. students?

OMG what is wrong with some of you?! You think just because Terrence Howard is black that he has to be a Democrat and love Obama!? You’re an uncle tom unless you subscribe to the same “group think” that all black people have?? The facts are the facts and look them up yourself, the black middle class came up significantly under reagan like never before and entrepreneurship came up.
the reason was they provided tax cuts to small businesses to get their own businesses started, and many blacks took advantage of it like never before. Get off the democrat plantation; the only thing obama is going to do is make it easier for blacks and poor ppl to depend on the government for everything and make it as easy as possible to exterminate the black race through the hypocritical DEATH practice of abortion.

“oh shut the hell up” can you explain to me why D.C. kids won’t get to go to better schools like the PRIVATE SCHOOL the obama’s send their children to, but poor blacks in DC who want to do better can’t? THey have to go failing schools? Because he doesn’t care about anything other than TEACHERS UNIONS who want to sit around and DO NOTHING and put more importance on teaching our kids that its ok to have 2 daddies than how to read and write.

you obamanuts kill me with your barack hussein obama worship. talking about ‘yes we did’ when ‘we’ didn’t really do anything. everything is like it was and like it will be, and in fact its getting worse. if you think its economic justice to have almost everyone to be equal and the government taking over everything, move to cuba and see how much you like it.

barack obama has helped many african-americans aspire to new heights, by being double-ivy educated, first of all. second of all, marrying a black double-ivy educated woman he made it clear that he is a strong supporter of overcoming obstacles and instilling those strengths in black children.

    that is all.

yes since being married to a black woman miraculaously imparts some sense into a man. if u r an idiot no race of a spouse will change that.

Hey in a way – he’s right. If it wasn’t for President Bush – black people probably wouldn’t have got off their azzes to register and vote for Obama. I don’t think most voted for him because he’s black nor did they get registered because he’s black – they voted because they knew they were about to be forgotten for real since the economy was/is collasping. Its not secret – who is and who has been lowest on the Bush totem pole. Even they knew they better wake up and smell the BS. Now Obama might not be the answer, but he is definitely a CHANGE, as he promised. Whether it’s bad or good, I guess time will tell that – as it tells all. And he’s entitled to his opinion.

Obama makes way less than celebrities and works 200 times as hard. Does he really think he is going to have an influence on the way people think???

Maybe if he was a college professor, an expert in something, a writer/journalist I might entertain what comes out of his mouth, but until he gains some creditials other than being overpaid for what he does, act, please just shut up and keep quiet.
