Alfredo Flores Talks About Support From Latinos
Alfredo Flores remains a humble dude, despite his career blowing up steadily over the past few years. In an exclusive recent interview with Fox News Latino, the 24-year-old Boricua video director spoke about his dreams, long friendship with his uber-famous homie Justin Bieber, and the tremendous support he’s received from his fellow Latinos.
The budding director has already worked with Hollywood’s elite such as Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, and Bieber’s ex-boo Selena Gomez, but summed up his career path in one sentence, including a golden nugget for those who are clamoring for their own dreams.
“I’m just this kid from Jersey who flew out to L.A., with one dream. If you really want your dreams to come true – if you really want to make them happen – you just have to believe in yourself and you’ll be good.”
According to FNL, has been alongside Bieber for the past four years now – through multiple tours and for the Biebs’ highly-publicized Believe tour. In case you lived under a rock this week, Bieber dropped Believe on Christmas Day; the film features footage Flores shot of Bieber during his tour, which was filled with a few bumps in the road.
As for Flores’ own road, it hasn’t been an easy one. The music video director says he “started from the bottom” and opened doors he had found closed:
“I kept going when people said ‘no’ and I’m proud of that and I’m happy about that – especially because I’m Puerto Rican and I’m representing [it], because there aren’t a lot of us.”
While he has fans from all over the world (and more than 2 million Twitter followers), seems like Flores has a special place in his heart for his Latino fans:
“I love how much love I get from the Latin community.”
People love them some Alfredo sauce…
