Robi Draco Rosa Opens Up About Cancer Fight
By now, you’ve heard that Robi Draco Rosa’s cancer has returned. As we reported yesterday, the former Menudo member faces another bout of cancer, despite having been cancer-free for months – and Rosa has recently opened up about it.
According to People En Español, the 44-year-old Latin Grammy winner told the Puerto Rican newspaper Primera Hora that he feels a bit “beaten” after learning of his cancer’s return:
“It always feels distinct. This theme of relapse and these types of things make you feel beaten, but on the other side I think we have a good plan.”
In a recent statement, Draco Rosa’s manager Ángelo Medina shared some details with the public on the musician’s next fight:
“Draco faces a new challenge and with great grief we must announce that he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Diffuse B Cell two months ago. The doctors have predicted that this type of cancer would have a great possibility to get defeated and overcome one more time.”
If you recall, Draco Rosa was diagnosed back in 2011 with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma near his liver. After battling it for over a year, Draco Rosa posted the joyous news that he was cancer-free on Twitter.
Now, he will be undergoing chemotherapy as part of his next set of treatment and shared that he will be treated in both the U.S. and of course his native Puerto Rico.
We are praying for you, Robi!
