Stalling is an effective defense tactic. Can’t blame the lawyer for trying, but the case will not disappear. Chris will have this hanging over him until it is resolved. Strike a plea deal and do a little time in the pen.

If they had all that though they wouldn’t have had to subpoena rihanna to testify now would they. They have no case against Chris without her throwing him under the bus. We all know that is not going to happen so why try and fake like it will.
