Men Stage Fake Funeral For Love Struck Friend
A group of friends in Wales recently surprised one of their pals by throwing him a fake funeral complete with a casket, processional and hymns. Why? Because he’d become lovestruck and was spending “too much time with his girlfriend.”

A loved-up lad, who thought he was going on a rare night out to the pub to watch the Rugby World Cup with his friends on Saturday, had no idea he was actually going to his own ‘funeral’.
A group of Rhondda football boys hosted the surprise funeral for 20-year-old Keiran Cable after he got into a relationship and hadn’t been on a night out with them since.
The group of around 50 friends, who play for the local Prince FC football team in Treorchy , hosted the funeral, which was complete with a coffin, a funeral car, order of service leaflets, a vicar and football song ‘hymns’.
His friend Ben Sullivan said: “Keiran had been in a relationship for a few months and it felt like he had died because none of us had seen him since then and he wasn’t replying to any of our group texts or mails.
“A couple of weeks ago we were all in the pub and we all started saying RIP Keiran so we decided if he wasn’t going to come out with us and was going to pretend he was dead then we’d organise a funeral for him.”
Despite the boys’ best efforts, it looks like Keiran and his girlfriend are still booed up and he’s enjoying some international fame.
