Michelle Obama is featured on the February 25th issue of Newsweek as Barack’s rock. She is definitely holding it down and we know she would make a great first lady. Nobody is stunting Bill O’Reilly’s wack ass and his statements regarding Michelle being an “angry militant woman”yesterday:
“I don’t want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there’s evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that’s how she really feels — that America is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever — then that’s legit. We’ll track it down.”

I didn’t think he had time to harass people what with going from state to state running for president. Oh yeah I got it now, here is what you want the press to say on Obama:

3. He’s inexperienced
4. His ideas won’t work
5. Obama doesn’t need the race card. I think he has proven that very well. He’s working with all the races at this point which is why the republicans are scared. yeh i stated how she talks about all this experience. What constitutes someone as being experienced for a presidency? I know we are not talking about Bill, but everything she talks about is things she did alongside her husband who is Bill. She then stated how she was the backbone and ran this and that for him and when people started to question her “well did you run this also cause the people didn’t like that”…then she starts to state how she will run things differently than what her husband did. I don’t get it she always contradicts herself to me. If you like her than that’s your business to do so, but don’t bring up these blogs and you tube events and talk about his lack of experience with foreign policies. Last I checked she has no experience with foreign policies. She was on boards of trustees and charities. Bono does the same thing. Does that mean he has experience as a president? I do like Obama’s healthcare plan where it is required for children and there is a cap on it. If they take all of this money out of my check and I pass away tomorrow, the money goes straight into the governments’ hands so I think she should modify the universal healthcare plan being required for all. What about actors/actresses that aren’t that known who choose to become ambassdors and travel and develope programs internationally? Alyssa Milono? Angelina Jolie–(she began her international duties wayy before Brad–or Brangelina)? These are a few examples of regular people that wanted and did make a change. So my point is, is that if Michelle wanted to do half of the things Hillary’s done then she wouldn’t need to be First Lady to do it. When Hillary graduated from Law School she immediately began doing/organizing work for women and children.
And if you really did you research on Hillary you would know that Hillary’s mother was a single parent and held down 2 jobs to raise her. You’d also know that that’s where Hillary’s motivation for helping women and children comes from. So to answer your previous comment she doesn’t just ’set up charities’ she’s an active partner in the developement of these organizations.

She held numerous public sectors in Chicago working alongside the mayor and was the assistant commissioner of planning and development for the city of Chicago. She is also in public non profit organizations such as public allies that deals with youths that have social issues and encourages them to engage in non profit community work. She developed the University of Chicago’s community service center, she’s on the board of directors for Chicago’s council on global affairs,and in in charge of community affairs in Chicago’s hospitals. She has done a lot of non profit work. The major part of her income comes from her being a lawyer and the fact that she was the director of Chicago’s hospitals. No she hasn’t done any charity work work overseas but she has done a lot in the slum areas of her hometown which is just as credible as going over to another country.
BTW: Obama won the International Primary by 65% according to AP News.

a few weeks ago, i became heated with a few posters about barack obama. it was personal. today, it is VERY personal. my mama, my best friend, she passed away on the 8th of this month. she may have been sick, but she didn’t tell me. she could not afford decent health care that would have saved her, and i find that factor personal. it’s one thing to have universal health care, but it’s another to be able to afford it. i barely had enough to have a decent funeral for my mama. all i know is, the very issues of change that barack obama stands for, my mamam and i supported and campaigned for on obama’s behalf, because she knew, like i know, like he knows, that ther will be many more people to lose loved ones to the disaster of high health care costs. i thought my mama and i would see a black man as the president, but we were wrong, because of the healthcare costs.

After graduating, he went to work as a community organizer in Chicago. Following three years of helping some of Chicago’s poorest residents recover from a steel mill closing through job training programs, he went to Harvard Law. There, he became the first black editor of the Harvard Law Review. Instead of seeking a high paying job upon graduating from Harvard, he returned to Chicago and went back to the neighborhood communities by organizing and helping to register 150,000 voters. He then began working at a civil rights firm and went on to teach constitutional law at the University of Chicago. He did all of this before his career in politics began.

At least Michelle & Barack is in our century. McCain is an old, rich guy that has nothing in common with the average American. He has lived his life & he needs to sit down & enjoy retirement. Yes, we need a change, a person that will be for the majority in America & that would be the hardworking people that pay the rich people’s taxes & still can’t get far with their pay. Willy Lynch has done a fabulous job and making us go separate was were here talking about how ugly she is and she a good looking woman were is the support.That why we will always be the bottom race and be proud of it because we have work very hard to get there. This woman is both beautiful AND brilliant. Why such harsh criticism of her? I think more than a few folks on this site have an issue with Black women – especially dark-skinned Black women. Whether it’s Michelle Obama, Pauletta Washington, Usher’s wife or Gabrielle Union, some folks here reserve criticism for darker-skinned women that never seems to find its way to lighter-skinned sistas. What’s up with that? Shake off the shackles of slavery!

The Republicans put Barack to run because they knew that Blacks would stupidly vote for a black person just because they were black. Then turn against Clinton who was the ONLY advocate for Black people. Bill Clinton did A LOT for blacks and they forget that. So now you have a huge majority of the country (most of whom are voting for the first time)come out to support him. Yet if he wins, he doesn’t stand a chance against McCain. Wake up. Clinton for Prez and you’ll be better off trust me.
