If it happened they way he said it did.. then something really needs to be done about the law system in NO. In the aftermath of Katrina and the corruptness of the law enforcement there that was already an issue… you would think something would have been done by now.

New Orleans is a beautiful, cultural city… I don’t think he is dogging NO but it’s corrupt law enforcement that has loooong been an issue way before Katrina hit. I used to live near NO and the gap between in the financial structure between blacks and whites is sooo evident. The black population is poverty level while most of the white population is upper middle class to rich.

Furthermore, this is not just a N.O. problem…this is an epidemic that’s infected our whole country! When is this country going to accept the fact that there ARE bad apples in the police bunch?

@Green Eyed Diva..I hear you. I used to live in Baton Rouge up to about a year ago. N.O. law enforcement has been corrupted for years. Katrina only made things worse. Its so sad. Those ‘good ole boys” don’t care about the minorities there. Just those rich white folks! But its like that in alot of the cities in Louisiana.

I remember the Larry Davis incident quite clearly. Born & raised in the NYC I am not really surprised at ANY of the allegations of corrupt officers. And the accounts of the Special Tactical Unit that was recently busted for stealing drugs from dealers just goes to show that the corruption continues. Good look on the heads-up though.

Hey..I lived in N.O. and that whole weekend was a success for the city. This 1 instance should not give the city a black-eye. Tank was wrong….he is no different than anybody else. With a incident like this he was advised he could not walk into the crime scene. What! Is he above the law? It’s just another case of a celebrity who thinks he is above the law. He then argued w/the police and thought they should know who he was…duh…. he got what he deserved. If everyone else was expected to cooperate why did he think he was different.. People please understand.. N.O. is struggling and we don’t need any negative feedback. Don’t you all come to N.O. and have a great time? Let’s keep it that way!
