Who Fathered “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” Rachel’s Youngest Child?
Those who caught the premiere of Black Ink Crew: Chicago probably noticed a deliberate omission of info when it comes to Ryan Henry and ex-girlfriend Rachel Leigh.
While getting into the backstory of her relationship with Ryan, Rachel revealed that after their relationship ended, she had a child with a well-recognized signed artist — that ultimately ended up having little to nothing to do with her youngest child. However…his name was noticeably bleeped from the show’s premiere:
This left a lot of viewers wondering what the big secret was. WHO is the recording artist whose child Ryan is helping raise? The few who followed the couple years before reality cameras descended on Chicago to film their daily dramas may already know who the toddler’s father is.
But if you aren’t aware, hit the flip to find out whose slack the owner of 9 Mag has had to pick up…

As it turns out, it’s Jeremih! The singer carried on a relationship with Rachel throughout 2011 and 2012, which ultimately resulted in the birth of their now 3-year-old son Grey:
Isn’t he so cute!
Apparently Jeremih quietly engaged in a custody battle with Rachel over their son last year. As he shared with Billboard last November, the singer felt that many of his struggles toward the end of 2014 partially stemmed from an ongoing fight he had been engaging in to get rights to see his then 2-year-old son:
Jeremih says he’s ultimately responsible for his stutter-steps, explaining that he was consumed by a court battle with his child’s mother while “Don’t Tell ‘Em” was rising. “I stopped caring about being Jeremih over the last few months,” he says. “A lot of people don’t know I have a 2-year-old son. His mom wasn’t allowing me to see him, and it was messing with me. I was internally unbalanced. But I just got out of that trial and I won.”
Hmmm…well there are certainly 2 sides to every story, and it seems that Jeremih’s side is that he’s an involved father. Interesting…
