Just a very beautiful family, getting ready to read the parade, which has an article with President Obama regarding fatherhood.

I wish things could as simple as what the president said. However, the presence of a father in a child’s life depends on so many things. First of all Does the man carries himself in a way to be a good influence in his child’s life and positively contributes to the child’s life?
If a man can only offer inconsistence, chaos, drugs, w***** hopping, totally lack of financially support, but a ton of put downs about the child’s mom, then I think the child is better off with some other male role model who can bring stability, love, values, nuturing, and a sense of feeling safe to a child’s life. I think those ingredients are better for raising a happy child. Just saying a man should be in a child’s life because he is a father, is a mistake. I think parenthood is more than the physical act of having sex and getting pregnant. Those two things may make you somebody biological parent, but it does not make a man a father and a woman a mom.
It is the absolute act of acting like there is this defensively little human being depending on you and looking at you, so as a dad and mom you have to act right. Period.
