I am getting so tired of Bossip enabling self hate. There is absolutely nothing wrong with his hair. This is why so many black females now feel as if they can’t go a day with out adding weave to their hair. I embrace ALL natural types of hair. To me us black women and men have the best type of hair because we can do sooo much to it. We can style it in so many different ways because of our texture. Many of us have hair just like this but you wouldnt know with all the perms, texturizers, S curls that we slap on our scalps. Well I wasn’t only talking about whites only and I’ve been around way before Kelly or JLO.

Back in the day- waaaay- before internet I’ve seen plenty of white women as dark as Kelly Rowlan and I’ve had friends tell me they wanted to be as Black as me. I was running for the shade while they were running for the sun.

Full lips and big buts have always been desirable but undercover. Plastic surgery has allowed them to achieve what was not possible. Let’s not forget the Brazilian but lift was technique was invented and coined by a black surgeon.( From the Brazilian’s I’ve seen I believe it’s a code word for Black.)

How do you explain the different hues of our skin? I remember reading some accounts given by exslaves and there was a lot of lusting going on by white men for our women.

Those old hoop skirts and dresses with the emphasis on the rear.
Can you remember how old Hollywood stars would have thin pencil lips….except for the so called sexy ones. They tended to have very full or painted on lips.

And often times photos of these women were shot from behind.

When my oldest son was in kindergarten he used to wear his hair faded with a couple of small locs in the back. His teacher came up to his desk and started to feel on his locs when she was takling to him.
He came home and cut his locs because he didn’t like the attention she was giving him.

Lenny is handsome as hell, and very talented. I got into his music in 1998 when he released “5″. I’ve been a fan ever since. And for the record, this is how you rock a natural! His hair looks thick and healthy. If the bottom half of his hair was pressed or relaxed while the top was still in its natural state I’d be clowning. But he rocked his natural the right way so I have no complaints.

I love nappy hair…because I’ve rejected the European standards of beauty and have embraced what is Yah given. It is extremely strong,has unique textures that can be cultivated into the most wonderfully extreme styles (ie. Egyptians,Chaldeans,ect) and it keeps our scalps safe from the sun..which is especially good in the coming times since the pink people have done a job on the ozone layer with all the filth their factories spew. Why do you need them to tell you there’s nothing wrong with natural hair? If they want to rock the bone straight, they can rock the bone straight. That’s their choice. It doesn’t make natural hair less beautiful because they don’t wear their hair that way. We are way too busy looking to hollywood and everywhere else to validate the way we wear our hair as if only hollywood’s opinion on what is beautiful is the only one that matters. Damn that!
