When I was in couple’s therapy with my husband, we were told that if we break up we shouldn’t get into a serious relationship for 2 years. We didn’t break up, but it just goes to say that Jill jumped from a long marriage to a new relationship and pregnancy right away. Unfortunately, I knew this wasn’t going to work.

Black love is a myth for Blacks these days. We used to have strong Black women and men and now we have shells of our ancestors love, integrity and commitment for each other. The Black community has blown Black men’s heads up to think all they have to do is “show up” and be BLACK and BW are supposed to worship at their feet…Give me a damn break! Jill is a smart beautiful woman who fell for the okey doke!! Maybe if she truly embraces God’s belief that we are all created equal and true love can be found with ANY GOOD MAN..Then, she will find true love. By restricting her choice on the get go with a Black Massa Kang…she restricts the prospect of true love finding her.

how did this morph into a talk of ” co parenting”? could not these parents thought of this prior to having relations that can produce a child(no condom)? quite frankly, this is shamefull behaviour and black people in america, at one time, generally had a code of standards that would not allow such behaviour. This should be the same code of standards used to measure ourselves by in these days. People like this should be made to feel ashamed of what they have done. while there are mothers and fathers who HAVE NO CHOICE(by way of death ..etc) but to raise a child alone, they deserve the communal help not those who clearly have a choice in the matter..they should be asahmed of themselves.
