Looks like ole Marty Mar is coming back to the small screen where he found the most love. He’s got a few shows in development. We are sorely in need of a good black comedy.

Former hit TV star Martin Lawrence is slowly making his way back to television.

Though, this time, he’s doing things behind the camera.

Lawrence currently has three shows in development with his production company Runteldat and two shows even have network commitments.

Fox has picked an animated comedy of his, written by Rodney Barnes, which is based on his experiences growing up in the D.C. area.

The former Martin star is also developing a family comedy set at a funeral home.

Lawrence is also working on one featuring an interracial family which, is based on the comedy of Gary Owen and that’s been picked up by Starz.

Darice Rollins, Runteldat’s director of development, added “We all thought he is hilarious.”

And Martin must think he’s funny too. Cause he’s probably laughing all the way to the bank.

We can’t wait to see what he drops first. Could you imagine the characters he’d come up with now? SMH

Cant *****ody fill Marty Mar’s void~ heck how many comedians can act like a woman (like shenana) and really pull it off .. like i still believe its a shenana and that look marty gives you , that up and down look ~ priceless~~ And who the hell can be more serious when they talk about you like Fred did Aunt Esther~~ priceless~~ JJ was funny but that dy-no-mite stuff wasnt that damn funny~~
