It’s so very good to see people are able to come together to celebrate this man’s life. There will always be those who lack respect that simply can not understand what it means to respect others in their time of pain and need for privacy. I loved Michael Jackson’s music and the videos were always on point, always. This man devoted his entire life to people trying to provide us with music and entertainment that should have touched us all more than it did. I have been looking at and listening to a lot of his art. There were always messages to them and most of them were to bring people together “Change” Man in the mirrorr. We are the World—brought so many stars together, we are the world, we are the children, we are the ones who make a brighter day so lets start giving…Ray Charles part. “There’s a choice we’re making we’re saving our own lives, it’s true we make a brighter day, just you and me.” Just that simple. Speaking in general we as a people (and I do mean all not any color so please don’t start with that.) are so focused on negative things that we are not able to focus on the dicipline, that respect that we should give each other as human beings. Just you and me—- to me that was saying you and I regular people to celebreties just them—- individual chioces made in our everyday lives to respect each other , lend a helping hand when you can, lift each other up when we need it (and at one time or another in our lives we will all need it.) If we were to all take personal responsibility for just our own actions we could make such a difference by just as he asked I’m starting with the man in the mirror, I’m asking him to change his ways. I hate watching the news… Lets celebrate the great things that MJ has done, and the things that he will continue to do after he is gone. This is 100 times worse than when 2Pac was taken away from us.
It is good to see people coming out and supporting Michael now.
I said this many times on this site. Micheal is the best entertainer/singer/songwriter there ever was, but people rode him so hard. All these lawsuits, all over money.
I spoke to someone who saw him at the Ebony photo shoot a year or so ago, when he was celebrating 25 years of Thriller. They said he was a very sweet person, soft spoken, very kind and polite, but looked so frail and hardly ate anything during the photoshoot that took hours, just drank some fruit juice.
I know he is resting and in peace.
Micheal is un-deniably the greatest artist that has ever walked the earth & I am extremely happy that I was able to experience his music. I cried last night when I saw the last pics of him in the ambulance….. R.I.P. Michael ……..

Wow…so many memories. Staying up late to watch Friday Night Videos to see the Thriller video, The We are the World video, getting a birthday cake with Mike’s face on it in and a Thriller Viewmaster with audio in 1984, attending the Bad tour in ‘88. I was just dancing to PYT at a club last Friday. His talent and eclectrifying performances were unparalleled and I will fondly remember his contributions to entertainment.

Everyone might say there favorite moment was michael performing the moonwalk or thriller, but mine is him performing and singing dancing machine. Michael was destined to be a star.

I grew up on Mike, everyone at my school wanted to be Mike. Wow, it hits close to home, he was and always will be a household name, a true legend in his own right. May God rest his soul.
I will miss the King of Entertainment…there will never be another. I am just sorry that he didn’t get a chance to wow us this summer with his dazzling moves and showmanship in concert. His music still rock the house. If you go to any club and if they play “Don’t Stop til You Get Enough” and the joint will JUMP TRUST!!! I am just sad that he had to go so soon! I swear I can NOT stop crying over this man. This man that I grew up listening, as a small girl tried to moonwalk, wanted the leather jacket (never got it), always had his back during that fraudulent ***** trial (both), and now missing him as if he were a blookd member of my family.
Micheal was a young child trapped in a man’s body. He had leeches around him (including his family) sucking that man dry. I can not imagine the pressure he must;ve had on him as a small child to make people happy.
I wish this was a dream but it’s terribly not. micheal is gone. One of the greatest entertainers EVER. No one will match what he did. NO ONE!!
Seeing that last pic of him in that ambulance was absolutely terrible!! I miss you soooo much already and I can’t listen to one of his songs on my ipod w/o crying again. Love you SO MUCH MICHEAL!! I will always be a fan of your timeless music.

The verdict came in late that evening and ’cause of the 3 hour time difference no one in the club knew of the outcome… Then the DJ came on the mic and announced to all of us that “MJ” was found “Not Guilty” on all charges – a lot of people were “surprised, shocked and stunned”, but we were all happy for the man… I’ll always remember that “roar” in the crowd after the announcement and a few people doing the trademark Michael Jackson moves afterwards… I wanted to do the “moonwalk” but like I said earlier I could never get it just right and glide across the floor like “MJ” did and so I did my little two step to avoid embarr*****ing myself…
It was the first time I heard a Michael Jackson Set in a Hip-Hop Club and everybody just rockin’ to his hits like that… Dope!!!

I concur. I was telling my friend yesterday as I sat glued to the television that Joe Jackson is about to get villified. But I always blamed him for MJ getting all those surgeries, and Katherine for allowing him to physically their kids.

Yes, same here. I talked with friends last night and this morning, and we’re all just in shock. One of the local radio stations had a candlelight vigil last night. Ironically, it was the first time in a very long time I’ve listened to the radio, and every station was playing cl*****ic after cl*****ic. I saw the crowd of people at the Apollo last night, and the reporter said people had a Soul Train line in the street. It was like a block party. There will never be another like Michael.

I will preface this by saying that I do not intend to be rude…
These purported “evils” that you commented on were NEVER substantiated. Money can buy justice in the courtroom but can you PROVE that is what happened in Michael’s case? Just because you pay someone to settle out of court does NOT mean that you are guilty of the alleged crime. It means that you simply want to be rid of the problem.
I will never believe that Michael was a child molester. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, so if you believe that he was guilty then you are entitled to your OPINION.

The ones who respected and admired him as an artist despite the controversy and negative press. The truth is, up until his death, people made fun of him. Everything from his plastic surgery to his court allegations. Now everyone is acting like they really care? What is wrong with this world? Somebody has to die before they get really appreciated.

(including myself) Michael was my very first concert I’ve ever been to. (Second was New Kids..lol) and I remember thinking that I wanted to do that when I grew up. Needless to say I didn’t turn into a pop star but it’s a memory that I will never forget. Whether you were a fan of Michael or not, you knew him, you knew a song or six, at some point you tried to do the Thriller dance (dont lie) He will be greatly missed. The whole world lost something very special. No one will ever come close to the level of impact he’s had on us and millions of others. He has no more pain. No one will ever hurt him again.

My prayers are with the Jackson family and all who loved Michael Jackson.
Funny how we can take people for granted and then once they’re gone, we immediately recognize their contributions to each of us on a even a personal level.
We all grew up with this man’s music and he will be missed…

Paul McCartney you are a bitter cry baby. PLEASE don’t let me see you on TV talking about how much you admired Michael blah, blah, blah. You held a grudge for years because he had one up on YOU. You were bitter. Don’t hate on Michael just because he was smarter than you. If you were such a good businessman you would have protected your s hit. But, Oh, well. Growing up in France i never knew about MJ until 1 day when i saw my cousin’s bedroom covered up with MJ’s posters that was like 20 some years ago since then we all grew up with MJ i mean even if u go to Africa, or in small villages they know about MJ it doesn’t matter rather u have a tv or not.
He did accomplish something, and they called him the king of pop, but i never heard him saying i’m the best in such, and such unlike some of our rappers today who even claim to be God(HOV).
It is sad that he left this world, because his time was up (which we all waiting4 by the way), but i’m also happy because God loves him, guided, and ended
his trials of this life.
That’s why he took the shahada…no matter of what u say pedo,crazy, and all that God forgave all his sins, ’cause he became Muslim, and that’s it.

Nice photo gallery, Bossip! RIP KOP! Now every June, we too will have someone to pay homage to. Cuz I know I will be buying the whole fam some sort of MJ attire soon, to sport every June 25, you know like they do Elvis in August. I’m even willing to travel to L.A., or Gary, atleast every 3 years to reflect on his life, and just have fun. This is indeed a sad time, but once we start doing Mike, like they do Elvis, we are going to have some good times. Ya know up until yesterday, I use to just laugh at Elvis lovers..like “why are they doing all of this stuff?” But I know the business now. Cuz we got one now! Im looking foward to seeing some of you all, in one of the places, that Mike’s annual event will be held! I think the Elvis festivities last a full week.
My first concert was the Jackson 5 @ the Madison Square Garden. It was incredible as it was their first tour as well. It was incredible my prayers go out to his Family and children .

I took Mike’s presence on this earth for granted, especially after he was going through those things. He did a lot for humanity and he urged people to do the same in his music! I admit when he was alive I didnt give him any thought. But after realizing he is gone and not comming back it disheartened me.
His death has taught me to hug love and appreciate the people currently in my life to the fullest everyday!! Ladies and Gentlemen chop it up in the name of Mike in the discos!
Last month my nine yoa nephew didn’t know who MJ was–somehow yesterday instead of watching Spongebob–George Lopez—Bernie Mac–He watched hour after hour the media’s coverage of MJ! And as I walked into his room–he was trying to do the moon-walk and the spin!
Michael NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…….. first time i ever began a fan of Michael was because of his movie Moonwalker. No matter what happened, Michael always came out alright in that movie, made u think he was invincible and nothing could ever hurt him. His death is something as a kid I never thought would ever happen. R.I.P Michael Jackson, you really are and always will be the greatest.
