Janet Jackson is the covergirl of the April ‘08 issue of Vibe magazine. She sure is everywhere these days. Hopefully all this publicity will help those albums sell. We know her last few projects have been flops.

I have ever CD (even the 2 she made be4 Control) up till Velvet Rope. I bought Damita Jo used. I am was not feeling the last 2 CD’s nor am I feeling the 3 songs that have already been leaked on the internet. I love that work, “LEAKED”, knowing damn well the artist put the ***** out.

Anyway, Janet’s music is starting to sound like some ***** Ciara left on the studio floor. The beats are Euro-trash dance music. You can’t understand what she is saying. I don’t know what happen to the mature Janet who was putting out songs like, That’s th way love goes, Anytime, Any Place, I get loney, & Got til it’s gone with Q-tip.

I love Janet! Got every album she ever made and will get this new joint too. I do miss the “Janet” album Janet but I still have so much respect for her that I can’t just give up. I hope she does well.

I don’t get it…I understand that she has put out some duff stuff over the years as well as some real good stuff but she still has some appeal to her die hard fans so I will give her the benefit of the doubt that she will put out MORE good music in years to come (u cant be with JD and something dont rub off) Also I do love the track ‘Feedback’ it is catchy and I can shake a leg to it while doing hte housework.

Age is nothing but a number. Janet is looking better than she has ever looked in her life. What does her age have to do with her abilities, as an artist?

NONE of these new *****es in the game can compare to Janet, including Ciara. And because music sucks real bad these days, and everybody sounds the same, Janet is proving that she still got it. And can still give us fans good music.

I have heard the ENTIRE album. And though many of y’all might not like it, I think “Dicipline” is a GREAT album.

Age makes no difference. Talent is talent.

If all these songs become singles and most perform well on the charts, this album could EASILY outsell the “Velvet Rope” and “All for You” albums.

It’s a damn shame that some of you *****es want to be quick to say, Janet’s time is over. If you be belive that, you were never a real fan to start with.

You are probably the same *****es that said Mariah Carey was finished after she released “Glitter” and “Charmbracelet”. But look what she did with “The Eman*****tion Of MiMi”

Who’s to say Janet can’t do the same.

@Mona….the “JANET” CD is still my favorite. That song, “The Body that Loves you” is the song that still set the romantic mood in my house.

@JD…I never said anything about Janets age, it’s her music that I have a problem with. The big difference between Mariah and Janet is their VOICE. Whenever you are a real singer, you can make a comeback at 60. How much longer do you think dancing will carry Janet.

The Vibe cover photo and article title are better than her new album’s cover and title. The dominitrix “Discipline” thing is played, very white and not becoming of her.

I would say that Madonna needs to sit the hell down too, but…she still makes albums with hits and continues to sell out concerts with +$200 ticket prices.

LOL, is that the real JD defending his woman? Really, I don’t blame Janet for trying, but really, I’m thinking she’s a bit played out. At some point, reinvent yourself and maybe launch out and do something differently. The comparison to Mariah is apples and oranges, Mariah can REALLY sing so you knew it was only a matter of time before she bounced back. Janet is not a singer (all that whispering, breathy stuff is not singing),she is an entertainer who relies on her dancing…but hell, everybody is dancing these days *shrugging*.

Everyone on here with negative things to say about Janet should submit a photograph of how “great” they look and proof of how successful they are. Haters are notoriously losers.

The woman is beautiful. Her fans love her music. If you aren’t a fan, keep it moving. But the fact that you don’t like her as an entertainer doesn’t make her a loser. Commenting with your negativity does make you one.
