Talk about fast. Lawd. The Game, with assistance from Chris Brown, Diddy, Polow Da Don, Mario Winans, Usher and Boyz II Men, created a tribute song for Michael Jackson.

When Los Angeles based DJ Skee told his good friend, The Game, about the passing of Michael, the rapper was shocked. But once it sunk in, he locked himself in the studio and came out with “Better On The Other Side.”

“After I called Game and told him the news, he put this tribute together and produced this amazing record,” DJ Skee tweeted Friday morning (June 26). “Yesterday I told Game about MJ’s death and he didn’t believe it.”

The new song, which leaked Friday (June 26), featuring Game spitting alongside Chris Brown, Diddy, Polow Da Don, Mario Winans, Usher and Boyz II Men, while DJ Khalid produced the track.

I just don’t understand how people can be so negative in a time when we should be mourning, and paying tribute to a man that made the way for miniorites period. When are we all going to learn. God is not satisfied with all the backbiting and gossip that goes on in this world. This was a beautiful, and well deserved tribute, no matter who was on it. To the Jackson family, God is with you, and he will get you through this. Michael, no matter what you went through, God still loves you, and let this man rest in peace.

I watched Usher perform last night on TV One’s broadcast of MJ’s 30th anniversary concert, and he did a wonderful job — I loved the segment where he and Michael danced together. Luther, Whitney, Destiny’s Child, Mya, and others performed at the concert. It was a wonderful show. Watching Michael reunited on stage with his brothers brought tears to my eyes. They will never be together like that again.

THIS SUNDAY’S BET AWARDS… THE PRESSURE IS ON!
I hope BET really steps up their game and does Michael Jackson proud! This is the first award show that is taking place just days after his death… we are all STILL in a state of shock! This is the BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION AWARDS… I HOPE they understand how significant and important it is that they blow the roof off that joint… and show the world just what he meant to the black community, to every single genre of the entire music industry, and to this world in its entirety! WE will ALL be watching! WE need this. HE deserves this!
Michael Jackson DESERVES way more than just a damn moment of silence. I will be extremely insulted, completely embarr*****ed, and thoroughly *****ED if that’s all they do! THE ENTIRE SHOW SHOULD BE ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON. PERIOD. I love my girl, but to hell would I want to watch Beyonce’ gyrating across the stage for the umpteenth time to one of her tracks, when THE KING OF ALL MUSIC has just p*****ed away (… yeah I said it– NOT just POP)! Each and every one of those *****’s would not be who they are as entertainers if it wasn’t for him. He changed the scope of music and entertainment, and set a bar of greatness that will never be touched. NEVER. HE gave them ALL something to strive FOR! Therefor they should all INSIST upon putting their own albums and personal agendas aside just this once, to perform the song of a hero.
Above all else I hope Michael Jackson finally feels the LOVE… I hope he feels ALL of the love that we have for him, and knows just what he meant to us all! I hope he, at the very least, gets a glimpse at just how many lives he has touched, and just how much of an impact his life and presence has had on this earth… the world is forever changed!

DOWNLOADED. Damn, that was well-done and beautiful. I’m glad I broke a bossip sabbatical to read this thread. I would never have heard this song otherwise. Our radio stations out here are crap.

But this song is very well done. The sentiments in the song are definitely true.

I NEVER watch BET b/c in general the channel disgusts me and I had no intention of watching the award show, but in light of MJ’s death I will tune in and they better represent! The mainstream media is doing what they do best, smear a person even in death. I expect OUR media to give him the fitting tribute he deserves.

My thoughts:
As a child I remember going to school and being so excited about watching Michael Jackson on the music awards, it would be the talk of the day.

You couldn’t find a person outside when you knew Michael Jackson was going to perform, everyone so excited…

In most African American homes there wasn’t much family time and quality time spent together. Rarely did we watch television together but when the awards came on and we knew Michael Jackson was going to perform. (Don’t call or interrupt) Everyone in the whole house would gather in the living room waiting for Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson has touched so many of our lives in ways he couldn’t have imagined. He brought families TOGETHER if it was only for a little while. We watched Michael as a family.

I’m a 44 year old single mother of a wonderful 13 year old son (Shannon) and I am so blessed that he was able to watch and enjoy the Michael Jackson that we all love….

I thank Michael once more for the family and bonding time that my son and I will share together watching the BET Awards on Sunday..(and the tears that would probably fall from my eyes) Thank you Michael for the music, dancing and entertainment. There will NEVER be another Michael Jackson.

Michael and his family will stay in our prayers and heart forever. May God bless him with peace, Michael you are an angel…….Good Nite Michael….Love you, Berneta Moore

I’m sorry but that is bothering me. You see, MJ was taken advantage of by that family as shown in the court do*****ents/testimony that lead a jury of his peers to conclude that he wasn’t guilty by 10 charges. Chris on the other hand, denied that he was guilty the first time around and it was only when Rhianna was at the last hearing he finally admitted that he was guilty. Think about that as you talk about getting past “issues”.

I actually respect these guys for taking a moment out of their own lives and give respect to not only a genius but a musical prophet. If you guys ever get a chance take a look at the Can you feel it video by the jacksons and what you see is so closely connected to what is going on today it just seems prophetic to me. Any way good jobs guys now if you can stop being followers with music today and be innovative like Mr. Jackson then i think this world would be more peaceful and aggreeable. But we have to allow artist to be individuals and artist have to be willing to not just talk about themselves but about what we as a human race need to be happy, in love and what ever else it will take to get through this life

and btw the first time he was accused of molestation he settled OUT OF court so we really dont know if he was guilty or not. Lord, I just hope these minstrels don’t get up and say N-word this N-word that in honor of Michael Jackson. I can’t recall one time that Michael used the N-word, Bxtxh, Ho, etc., or any other ignorant and embarr*****ing slang.
