Jelani Maraj Is Living At Safaree’s Long Island, New York Home As He Fights Child Rape Case

Nicki Minaj’s brother has been living at a home owned by his sister’s ex Safaree as he battles accusations that he repeatedly raped a 12-year-old, BOSSIP can reveal.

Jelani Maraj, his new wife Jacqueline and her three kids have shacked up in a Long Island, NY house paid for by Nicki Minaj’s ex Safaree Samuels.

Samuels and a woman named Tori Spaulding dropped $535,000 in cash last year for the split-level four bedroom three bath in a tony Nassau County nabe. The 2,100 square foot pad sits on a cul-de-sac with views of Baldwin Bay and boasts an in-ground pool and jacuzzi. Records show Samuels bought the pad in June 2014, but it’s unclear how long Maraj and his family have actually lived there.

Maraj is fighting for his freedom after cops accused him raping a 12-year-old over and over the course of seven months. If he’s convicted, he could get 50 years in New York State prison. Maraj and his mother, Carol, were in Nassau County Court Dec. 9 for a closed-door conference about the charges.

Reached at the home, a tired-sounding Jacqueline Maraj declined to speak with a BOSSIP reporter.

“I don’t wanna comment,” the wife said. “Please don’t call my phone again.”

The fact that Samuels has allowed the couple to live at the home as he battles his child sex case shows how close he still is to the family.
