Kendra never struck us as a classy chick but to have your wedding rehearsal dinner at Dave & Buster’s is seriously poor white trash status. Damn Hank, her true colors are being revealed little by little.
Dave & Buster’s. Sounds like a place your average girl next door would frequent for food, drinks and good cheer.
And that’s exactly what Kendra Wilkinson got by holding her dream rehearsal dinner at the family-friendly restaurant-arcade in Glendale, Calif.
The theme of which was, “Keepin’ It Real,” according to Kendra executive producer Kevin Burns.
“She wants the wedding to be gorgeous and glamorous, a fairytale-princess wedding,” he said. But she and her NFL-player fiancé Hank Baskett wanted the rehearsal to be about “who they are and where they come from.”
Guests included Kendra’s bridal party—minus Holly Madison, who will finally be joining the festivities as a bridesmaid tomorrow night—and her mom, brother and grandma (who loved those arcade games!), and Hank’s parents and brother Randy, who will serve as best man.
“We all got to do it together, and it included family, grandmas and moms. Everyone was included,” bridesmaid and ex-roomie Bridget Marquardt said, when asked what made this low-key affair more special than your average Hollywood swankfest.
But it isn’t just hte Million Dollar Midway and famous wings that make it one of the bride’s favorite places.
“She was actually sitting at a Dave & Buster’s when Hef called her when he invited her to come live at the mansion,” Burns said.
Aw. Life-changing moment, indeed.
But don’t worry, the new No. 1 man in Kendra’s life got to have his fantasy cake and eat it, too—literally.
“He is a Transformers nut—so Hank got a Transformers cake,” Burns said.
Sounds like there just might be more than meets the eye to this increasingly cute couple, who are tying the knot Saturday night at the Playboy Mansion.
Kendra “didn’t seem nervous at all,” Bridget said. “Even though it was kind of a short engagement, it felt like it ran its full course.”
“And now she’s ready to run down the aisle and say, ‘I do, already!’”
It’s not too late to back out Hank. SMH
