It’s hard to explain but everyone deals with death differently. I can say that when people close to me in my family have passed I’m usually a wreck on the day that I find out, but then I seem “fine” until the funeral. It’s like you don’t want your mind to go there so you try to think about other things. Outwardly you seem happy but the pain is still sitting there. It’s not till you get to the funeral and have to face the death that it gets you. Everyone is different which is why its hard to question peoples actions after a death.

For those of you who assume that Joe Jackson may not be grieving the loss of his son or isn’t grieving in the manner in which you would approve…..get real!
I lost my grandmother (who raised me & I lived in the house with for 30 years) and the night that she unexpectantly died, I was fine. Maybe it was shock or something but I didn’t shed one tear. I was just trying to be strong for some of my other family members who were breaking down at the time. The next day it hit me & I broke down, but there were still moments when I was able to push it aside & be OK. It didn’t really hit me until the funeral & that is when I felt like my whole world had ended. I was carried out of the funeral because I literally fainted from grief. Everyday for months after that, I grieved beyond belief. I was prescribed medication to sleep at night & pills for high blood pressure. From time to time, I still breakdown & that was almost 3 years ago now. Nobody can assume how another person is feeling or dealing with what’s on the inside of them & at the end of the day, Joe Jackson has lost his son…I’m sure he’s feeling it. Although he was a cruel man, and obviously caused a lot of pain to this family, he is still Michael’s father. I believe that in latter years he learned the error of his ways after witnessing the horrible affects his extreme discipline had on the family (unfortunately too late). He was there supporting his son when he was going to trial & Michael didn’t appear to be “afraid” of him then. Anyway, I’m not here to take up for Papa Joe, I’m just saying that you can’t always judge a book by its cover. RIP MICHAEL!!

Yes, Joe appears to be a little too happy but in all actuality that is a mask to hide his PAIN! Joe probably feels as responsibly for Michael’s tragic life as anyone given that Michael constantly put him on blast for all the abuse he suffered at Joe’s hand.
You also have to realize as a parent, it is very difficult to see your child go through the problems that Michael faced w/o having the ability to ‘save’ them. Along with their sadness the Jacksons are also experiencing some relief that Michael’s suffering is OVER!
What we as a public doesn’t realize is that Joe was there personally for each of Michael’s trials and tribulations (whether Michael liked him or not) and so it was hard to see him destroying himself. Joe is old-school, back in the day we got our butts beat (switches, belts, shoes, fan-belts) with whatever our parents could get their hands on and it was legal. They saw it as discipline!
The family KNEW Michael was a homosexual (and to an extent a pedophile). He was also a drug abuser and yet they suffered between his public and private image. Michael married twice to try and throw the public off but both women have stated publically that there was no sex involved in their unions – Debbie was a baby maker and Lisa Marie was business (he wanted Elvis’ catalog). Michael was shrewd but he was also mentally ill. Black people knew these things (to a certain extent) which is why Michael was loved and adored by Whites and listened to but not truly accepted by Blacks. (King of Pop)

Firstly…Are they perfect? Hell no!, but that does not take away from all they have done for the black community. They have always been there for every issues. They have spoken out loud and clear when others were too afraid and remained silent.

Anyone who grew up black in America knows that Jesse and Al have been trusted Jackson family friends. Jesse helped Michael from defaulting on some loans at one point.

Joe Jackson is a hot mess. What is he smiling about, when he made Michael’s life the most miserably ever, and still doesn’t recognize it. He told all of them to call him Joe, because he wanted to be seen as a dictator not a father.
Michael lived all of his life to get Joe’s approval, but never got it. Joe messed up Michael’s childhood, that brought insecurities, and a lot of problems, that Michael just couldn’t get out of till his death. I think Joe is been waiting for the day, when he will take over everything Michael has, because he tried to live his dream through Michael.
I want people to know that Michael is not a weirdo or jacko, he’s just been through too many things that has affected him physically and emotionally. I don’t even know how he made it this far, it was just too much for one person. I want people to see beyond the various plastic surgeries, accusations(which i think are not true), does not like been black, he’s gay or asexual(also not true), and see that this guy was in pain, hurt, isolation, anxiety, emotional instability, he was betrayed by people he trusted. I just wished joe saw what he did to his son, and recognized it, it would have gone a long way.
I want people to see Michael’s love for children, forget what he said about sharing his bed with them, which i don’t see the big deal with unless some perverted people who think just because you sleep in bed means something sexual has to happen. How he made people happy, the passion that he puts behind his music, he was a great father, and gave millions for charities. R.I.P M.J.
I hope Joe does not get the attention that he thinks he will get through Michael, i think he lost his mind too, talking about starting a record label, he’s definitely not okay. So, he needs to sit back at home and mourn his son, and think of all the wrong he did, and show some emotions.
