People really kill me trashing Joe Jackson. I’m not excusing his abuse of his children, but love him or not, there would be no Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson “The King of Pop” without him.

Who thought of the idea of a family group? Who got the instruments? Who taught them to play? Who booked the performances? Who made them practice and taught them professionalism.

I’m not calling him a saint, but give him the credit he is due. Mind you he did all this while working long hours in a nasty hot factory and taking care of his family… something that is sorely missing today!

Did u take notice on when Joe said that “the kids had not been around other kids” So I doubt that those kids even have any type of decent contact with them. Plus katherine and joe are a bit too old to take care of them!!! What kind of parent was michael to not even want them to have any contact with their mother, when he was not even their father!!! No matter how much money he paid her that was very selfish!! Obviously, michael wanted those kids to turn out weird like him!!! Funny, you talk as if you knew Michael Jackson. Thats the mistake that everyone is making here. Reading some tabloid blog and then mouthin off. Ironically, that’s what ruined his life in the first place.

I did hear when Joe Jackson said that about them not being around other kids. MAYBE Michael did not bring them around THOSE kids, but there are plenty of photos with the children at birthday parties and interacting with OTHER children. Have you read any reports over the years of Debbie Rowe fighting for visitation or custody of those kids? Nope. Seems she was perfectly willing to be an egg donor, or whatever their arrangement was, so I don’t feel sorry for her. Chances are the kids don’t know her that well either so who says she deserves to parent them? I don’t know who they belong with, that’s not my place to say. But there is not one report that she is requesting custody so ppl are jumping the gun.

Whether or not MJ is their biological father is irrelevant. He was the only father they knew and I am sure he loved them.

I don’t think or talk like this often, but the media is doing a number on this family. Joe Jackson is not the most articulate man in the world, but that man LOVES HIS SON, and anyone who thinks otherwise is insane.

When my grandfather died a couple years ago, I pretty much hung out with my family for the week after leading up to the funeral because it was too painful to really discuss with anyone without being emotional. I understand that folks grieve in different ways, but a “less is more” approach would not hurt them. It’s not necessary to have a press conference or speak to the cameras everytime you have something to say. I will continue to pray for the Jackson family.

Ok now, the beginning was ok when he talked about how Mike was loved all over the world and how Mike loved people and gave and helped people so much, I thank God himself that he was able to get Joe to say that much… But when he started getting into how we as fans loved their – whole family, “we knew you all love us” or something like that, and how he himself with a new record label was going to be instrumental in making good music from now on, how the children never were able to hang around any other children, and when he said “I’ve never heard of a private funeral for someone like Michael”… It was all kinda raggedy and messy, not to mention how he answered some of the reporters.
It seems as if he is proud that he is attached to someone so great, and maybe feels like he had something to do with the greatness of Michael and the family, but it also seems like deep down inside he thinks he could have done better than Mike did or anyone did in music and/or all things for that matter, it really does seem like he thinks what he does and says is right… Still we all know good and well anyone and everyone wants to attach themselves to Michael’s name or his success, in one way or another. Seems he knows carrying Mike’s name and legacy has benefits.
I think Michael’s success earned him a certain amount of respect from his father, but as far as love IDK ’bout that. He did say some good things, but something still seems a bit off…

The family is probably trying not to deal with him, he lives in Vegas and they are separated. Someone please tell this guy to be quiet. I think Janet is the only one with any money left, Michael was taking care of the whole damn family pretty much him and Janet.

Joe is a good father now. I think that he did the best he could when they were young. He said that his father treated him the same way and he thought it was ok because he was raised like that. Joe has always been by MJ side defending him from the media so people back off there would be no MJ or Jackson 5 without Joe. I think that he loves his family and just wanted them to have a better life. I bet if he could go back and change things he would.

And Debbie Rowe, probably wants the kids away from the issues Michael probably told her about , growing up. If my kids father told the world that he was abused as a child physically and verbally. When I saw Joe Jackson laughing like he hit the lottery and promoting his record label I cried for Michael. What kind of father discusses business ideals three days after the death of his son. And as far as Debbie Rowe is concerned, I have seen crack headed mothers who neglect and barter away their own children, but still get to keep custody. Debbie had an arrangement with Michael to stay away and now that Michael is gone she should be allowed to come back into her childrens lives. I don’t trust Joe and Katherine is ill and too old at 79 to raise young children. The children should be in the care of both Janet (the most sane Jackson) and their biological mother.

You better believe Michael told Debbie the nasty secrets in his family. How Joe molested Reba and Latoya and prolly Janet too. That Reba left home at an early age to get away from her filthy ***** daddy. That he beat his kids for no reason and *****ed his kids up for all time. That Jermaine had two kids with his own brothers wife and now his and Randy’s kids are now half-siblings as well as cousins. That none of the Jackson brothers are successful now because they didn’t stress an education in that family and all the brothers could do was sing and dance. And don’t forget Latoya who has too many issues to deal with because of the sexual abuse by Joe. I wouldn’t want those kids, especially Paris anywhere near that vile, old man. As was stated earlier, Drug addict mothers are allowed to keep their kids so Debbie should be given a second chance because one thing for sure, she is their mama. Stanley back in the day black fathers physically disciplined their kids but they didn’t torture them the way Joe did. And they certainly didn’t sexually violate their own daughters the way Joe did. Joe Jackson is and always has been straight up crazy. And I expect jermaine to say that. The least talented brother who was always jealous of Michael, according to Latoya. Joe stills upports jermaine financially so yeah, he would say that. Michael would have always been a star because he was so much more talented than the others. But if he hadn’t been abused he would have been a happier man without so many problems that brought him down. He was a sensitive soul and a great talent but he did some horrible things and I can’t help wondering if his childhood abuse contributed to his flawed, twisted view of life.

It was reported earlier that Debbie Rowe gave up her parental rights.

It is now being reported that is false.

If Debbie Rowe did not give her parental rights to the children, she has every right as the biological mother to fight for custody of her children. Only the oldest two are hers.

With that being said, the way I understand it is that the money goes where the children go.
