I try to hold off judgement on Joe. I know when my dad died I saw friends between his death and the funeral and I didn’t even mention to them that he died. I couldn’t talk about his death I was too afraid to break out crying in public.

The first question SHOULD have been – So, considering Michael has accused you of physical abuse, do you think he is rolling over in his grave thinking that you not only controlled and destroyed his childhood, but will control and destroy his children too? If Debbie does put in her bid to take custody of the children, she could be shady and bring up the fact that they are not biologically his.

I was embarrassed for Joe Jackson. Even Don Lemon said, “What the hell?” Yes, people grieve differently, but at least ACT like you are sorrowful for the son you lost. He’s talking about a record label? Something was very off about Joe. He rambled and seemed distracted.

I just want to know if anybody in the Jackson family went to college!?!?! There had to be at least one academically sound person put of all of those children, nieces, nephews, in that family to get some higher education at Harvard or some other institution to be able to represent them.

IMO…Michael would have found his calling with or without his abusive father. It is a fact that Michael had a God given talent…not because he was beat down by dear ol dad… but because he was meant to be great and share his talent and humility with the world. Joe Jackson has nothing to do with that! God has everything to do with it. Joe just happend to be the man who forced him to do something he would have done with or without him. Mike himself said that he loved what he did. Joe Jack get’s no love from me nor props!

Out of all those kids/people in that family it’s a real SHAME that nobody has the common sense to step-up and represent their family!!! Hey i’ll go you one better: i don’t believe Debbie Rowe is the children’s mother but rather a surrogate. I think Micheal obtained fertilized eggs from Poland and had them implanted into Debbie to carry for him. Those children look nothing like Debbie either! What exactly did they hope to accomplish with that press conference? Sharpton comes out trying to excuse why Joe Jackson was promoting his new record label rather than being at home mourning with the rest of the family, and then Joe takes the microphone and starts pimping his record label again. WTF?! This only makes me believe every bad thing I have ever heard or read about Joe Jackson. I pray he does not in some way gain control of Michael’s music and assign it to his new label. Thank God I already own all of MJ’s albums and CD’s so he won’t make a dime off me.

And another thing….Joe Jackson needs to stop wearing that frickin’ earring. Any man who has surpassed middle age has no business wearing an earring. It just makes him look pathetic.

Okay when the money was rolling in Micheal had nothing but white people around him. Is it me or when he went broke nothing but black people seem to be around him. His Dad would have never been given the chance to speak on TV. This is going to be a mess for a long time to come. I feel sorry for the kids and Mrs. Jackson.

First of all those are not michael’s biological kids and Debbie has the right to reclaim her kids now, not Katherine. Did u take notice on when Joe said that “the kids had not been around other kids” So I doubt that those kids even have any type of decent contact with them. Plus katherine and joe are a bit too old to take care of them!!! What kind of parent was michael to not even want them to have any contact with their mother, when he was not even their father!!! No matter how much money he paid her that was very selfish!!

Funny, you talk as if you knew Michael Jackson. Thats the mistake that everyone is making here. Reading some tabloid blog and then mouthin off. Ironically, that’s what ruined his life in the first place.

I did hear when Joe Jackson said that about them not being around other kids. MAYBE Michael did not bring them around THOSE kids, but there are plenty of photos with the children at birthday parties and interacting with OTHER children. Have you read any reports over the years of Debbie Rowe fighting for visitation or custody of those kids? Nope. Seems she was perfectly willing to be an egg donor, or whatever their arrangement was, so I don’t feel sorry for her. Chances are the kids don’t know her that well either so who says she deserves to parent them? I don’t know who they belong with, that’s not my place to say. But there is not one report that she is requesting custody so ppl are jumping the gun.

Whether or not MJ is their biological father is irrelevant. He was the only father they knew and I am sure he loved them.

Seems like his record label is more important to him than the death of his son. Did it again this afternoon at the press conference with Al Sharpton. And Rev Al seems to be telling him answers to the questions he was being asked b4 he makes a fool out of himself, incredible.

Gosh what a train wreck. It would be wise to just stay out of the media or use a pat response such as we’re asking that the media and public refrain from asking questions and respect the families privacy or at the very least keep all comments focused along the lines of the family is doing the best it can under the circumstances…

For a father to mention any type of business ventures in the works mere days after losing a son seems heartless but hey people handle life events differently.

I don’t think or talk like this often, but the media is doing a number on this family. Joe Jackson is not the most articulate man in the world, but that man LOVES HIS SON, and anyone who thinks otherwise is insane.

That family is hurting. Part of the reason MJ is dead now is because of the pressure and scrutiny of the media and public, and they are being completely disrespectful with this family now.

There will be time to speculate about Michael’s estate and his children after the man is laid to rest. I have NEVER seen the level of hatred and evil in the media as I am seeing now. I am more upset about the complete lack of respect FOR THE FAMILY than by MJ’s death. We all have to go, but have some respect. The media is doing everything they can to destroy this man’s legacy. It is all making me ill.

When my grandfather died a couple years ago, I pretty much hung out with my family for the week after leading up to the funeral because it was too painful to really discuss with anyone without being emotional. I understand that folks grieve in different ways, but a “less is more” approach would not hurt them. It’s not necessary to have a press conference or speak to the cameras everytime you have something to say. I will continue to pray for the Jackson family.

Ok now, the beginning was ok when he talked about how Mike was loved all over the world and how Mike loved people and gave and helped people so much, I thank God himself that he was able to get Joe to say that much… But when he started getting into how we as fans loved their – whole family, “we knew you all love us” or something like that, and how he himself with a new record label was going to be instrumental in making good music from now on, how the children never were able to hang around any other children, and when he said “I’ve never heard of a private funeral for someone like Michael”… It was all kinda raggedy and messy, not to mention how he answered some of the reporters.
It seems as if he is proud that he is attached to someone so great, and maybe feels like he had something to do with the greatness of Michael and the family, but it also seems like deep down inside he thinks he could have done better than Mike did or anyone did in music and/or all things for that matter, it really does seem like he thinks what he does and says is right… Still we all know good and well anyone and everyone wants to attach themselves to Michael’s name or his success, in one way or another. Seems he knows carrying Mike’s name and legacy has benefits.
I think Michael’s success earned him a certain amount of respect from his father, but as far as love IDK ’bout that. He did say some good things, but something still seems a bit off…

Joe needs to shut up – period..and stop grinning like a weasel in public. His gleefulness is disgusting. He should let Al or an attorney do the talking.

I just still don’t understand why these two are going around doing damage control conferences and appearances? Seems like they are guilty of something…I wouldn’t doubt it if they had that doctor to do what he did! Details will be out soon!

Joe is a good father now. I think that he did the best he could when they were young. He said that his father treated him the same way and he thought it was ok because he was raised like that. Joe has always been by MJ side defending him from the media so people back off there would be no MJ or Jackson 5 without Joe. I think that he loves his family and just wanted them to have a better life. I bet if he could go back and change things he would.

The only one that should be executor over MJ’s will and children is Janet. She’s young doesn’t have any kids, it should be Janet. I pray Mike left a document stating that. When I saw Joe Jackson laughing like he hit the lottery and promoting his record label I cried for Michael. What kind of father discusses business ideals three days after the death of his son. And as far as Debbie Rowe is concerned, I have seen crack headed mothers who neglect and barter away their own children, but still get to keep custody. Debbie had an arrangement with Michael to stay away and now that Michael is gone she should be allowed to come back into her childrens lives. I don’t trust Joe and Katherine is ill and too old at 79 to raise young children. The children should be in the care of both Janet (the most sane Jackson) and their biological mother.

It is now being reported that is false.

If Debbie Rowe did not give her parental rights to the children, she has every right as the biological mother to fight for custody of her children. Only the oldest two are hers.

With that being said, the way I understand it is that the money goes where the children go.
