So sad…

Dejah Joyner Killed By Stray Bullet Over Stolen Hoverboard

The family of a 12-year-old Long Island girl is reeling after she was killed by a stray bullet.

Police report that Dejah Joyner was eating dinner with her family when a bullet struck her in the head. Why? Because someone alleged that her brother stole their hoverboard.

Pix 11 reports:

The Hempstead man charged in the fatal shooting of a 12-year-old girl may have fired the gun over a stolen hoverboard.

Jakwan Keller, 20, is accused of firing a gun that pierced through a home, striking 12-year-old Dejah Joyner in the head.

Joyner was eating dinner in her home Oct. 16, 2015 when a stray bullet pierced through the living room window and struck her. She was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.

Nassau County police believe Keller fired the gun into the home because he was upset that someone from a rival gang stole his brother’s hoverboard. Keller allegedly thought Joyner’s brother was responsible for the theft.

Keller was held without bail at his arraignment Monday.

Police say the community provided around 43 tips, including 20 that helped police find Keller.

Keller was arrested Sunday and charged with murder, criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon.

SMFH…lock his azz up.
