Michael Jackson’s 7-year-old will was filed Wednesday in a Los Angeles court, giving his entire estate to…… a family trust and cutting out his former wife Debbie Rowe. The will, dated July 7, 2002, estimated his estate at that time at more than $500 million. It names his mother, Katherine Jackson, as a beneficiary of the trust and the guardian of Jackson’s children, who are named in the will. It also names entertainer Diana Ross as a successor guardian for the children and their estates if something happens to Katherine Jackson.

Ross introduced the Jackson 5 on the Ed Sullivan Show in the late 1960s and was instrumental in launching their career. She was a lifelong friend of Michael Jackson. Meanwhile, a person familiar with the situation said no public Jackson memorial was planned for Neverland. Santa Barbara officials had discussed the possibility a memorial or public viewing could occur Thursday. But the person, who is not authorized to speak for the family and requested anonymity, said nothing was planned for Neverland at least through Friday. The source said it appears more likely a funeral and burial will take place in Los Angeles. The family has the final say. The person says billionaire Thomas Barrack, who owns Neverland in a joint venture with Jackson, sought an exemption to bury the singer at the ranch. But the person says it’s a complicated process and it couldn’t be done for a burial this week. The will gives the entire estate to the Michael Jackson Family Trust. Details of the trust will not be made public.

The documents said Jackson’s estate consisted almost entirely of “non-cash, non-liquid assets, including primarily an interest in a catalog of music royalty rights which is currently being administered by Sony ATV, and the interests of various entities.” One of Jackson’s most lucrative assets is his stake in the massive Sony-ATV Music Publishing Catalog, which includes music by the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Lady Gaga and the Jonas Brothers, and is estimated to be worth as much as $2 billion. Jackson’s longtime lawyer John Branca and John McClain, a music executive and a family friend, are named in the will as co-executors. In a statement, Branca and McClain said: “The most important element of Michael’s will is his unwavering desire that his mother, Katherine, become the legal guardian for his three children. As we work to carry out Michael’s instructions to safeguard both the future of his children as well as the remarkable legacy he left us as an artist we ask that all matters involving his estate be handled with the dignity and the respect that Michael and his family deserve.”

The five-page will is signed by Jackson, and each paragraph includes Jackson’s scrawling initials.

It’s obvious that Mike knew what he wanted done with his money. We hope there aren’t any greedy mongers around to challenge this mans last testament.

Actually, Michael’s will explicitly states, “I have intentionally omitted to provide for my former wife, Deborah Rowe Jackson.” That’s why the media is reporting on it.

Realistically, she should not be expecting to pocket any more money off of those kids, but you know how folks can get when someone dies and leaves their *****ets behind. I’ve seen people fight over much, much less than what’s at stake here.

What the vast majority of you fail to understand is the FACT that even though he was the “king of pop” Michael Jackson CANNOT will away Debbie Rowe’s parental rights. Whatever custody agreement she made with Michael Jackson became null and VOID the second he died. She agreed to give custody to Michael Jackson and no one else and he is not here anymore. (Why is this concept so difficult for so many of you to grasp???)

All Debbie Rowe needs to do is *****ert her parental rights before the court and express her desire to raise her children and she’s pretty much guaranteed to get her kids back UNLESS someone can PROVE that she would endanger the children. And keep in mind that it is well do*****ented that momma and poppa Jackson don’t have stellar records as parents either.

Its Michael’s will so he (or his lawyers) can write whatever the hell he wants to write in it and sign it. That don’t mean its good for anything other than wiping your ***** with. You can’t will away someone’s RIGHTS silly people. She’s listed on their birth certificates as MOTHER. Do you know what that means and what it requires the court to do regardless of what Michael’s will says????

I am not certain what Debbie Rowe will do but I am certain what I would advise her to do(if i were advising her). I strongly suspect that out of courtesy for the Jacksons (a courtesy they don’t deserve I might add) she is waiting for Michael to be buried and then she will seek AND GET custody of her 2 kids.

I know alot of sisters have an attitude problem. And some of them you just gotta leave alone. But I’m generally cool with em.

Alot of the reason for the attitude is that over the generations they’ve really had to deal with things that women shouldn’t have to deal with. So their mommas train them to act tough “don’t depend on a man for *****”. Which is cool but its a fine line to walk and many of them end up taking it too far and even AFTER they find a man that WOULD do anything to make them happy they chase him away by making him feel like he’s not valued.
