He deserves more recognition. He’s played roles that made you completely forget he was Jeffery Wright.

Sorry but there are only a handful of really good black actors out there..hell..there are only a handful of of black actors period! You can’t expect them to get the same amount of Oscar love if their barely even getting work..it’s overrated anyway..in 10 years the Oscar’s will be obsolete

No, there are more than three. I think once you win or are nominated, you’re automatically invited to vote in the category you’re nominated for. JHud and Eddie Murphy were invited in ’07, so I’m sure the most prominent black actors are in there.

F**k the Academy…black people need to come up with their own award to give people of color international recognition for their achievements in the arts. You can’t expect white people to nominate or even give honor to any art form that black people create, because its beyond their understanding. We have different tastes and different views on what is and should be considered exceptional when it comes to arts.
