We love seeing comebacks and Whitney’s comeback is long overdue. Whitney Houston is playing off of the fact that she was addicted to rocks.

Pop the top and take a listen.

Here are the lyrics from the chorus of her new song: “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength”:

“I didn’t know my own strength/ And I crashed down and I tumbled/ But I did not crumble/ I got through all the pain/ I didn’t know my own strength/ Survived my darkest hour/ My faith kept me alive/ I picked myself back up/ Hold my head up high/ I was not built to break/ I didn’t know my own strength.”

Sounds like she’s keeping it real about her drug addiction. About time.

  • Lies and Bullshit-aka-The Truth

I think she may have had a stroke(to some degree. Her tongue appears to be to big for her mouth and it obscures to pronunciation of her words. It’s really sad. I hate drugs! God bless, her.

Whitney I love u but i aint giving u no more of my money for u to go and smoke it
    Plus the track is wack

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWSHADDAAAAAP!!!!

Lies and Bullshit, I’ve been saying that. Her life is a strange dichotomy. She has soared so high yet remains tragically ‘married’ to the seedy, drug-riddled side of Jersey.

    Queen Whitney is BACK!
I loved the song! I never buy an album until I hear at least 3 songs… I’ve only heard this one and I’d buy the CD tomorrow if it was available!

WOW! WELCOME BACK, WHITNEY. It has been a long time and you STLL GOT IT! Such a beautiful song with beautiful, moving, and inspirational lyrics.

In a time when black women are being degraded by ignorant rap negros and the media, this song is an inspiration to us all. We are strong, we weren’t built to break.

LOVE YOU, WHITNEY! WAITING FOR THE CD.

I LOVE WHITNEY, BUT OBVIOUSLY SHE’S LOST IT IF THIS IS A COME BACK SINGLE!! SO DISAPOINTING. NO RIFFS, NO HIGHS, ALL LOWS ON THE VOCALS AND IT JUST SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING SHE’S DONE BEFORE!!!

  • Jayonce

The Greatest Voice of all time. If yall dont feel it youtube it b*tch!! Whitney “F’ing” Houston! Now that the King has dead untimely, we need to show respect to those legends that are still with us before its too late. I like the song. I am a Whitney die hard and I realize that that “voice” is gone in some respect but even a C- Whitney trumps your top R&B singer of todays A+ performances

  • Vegan

I don’t think this will be a single, I think she’ll come better than this, even if it was she’s still a legend. Love and support you Whitney hope you do well.

  • PUSSYCATFUN

SHE LOOKS FANTASTIC…THANK GOD SHE STOPPED SMOKIN’ THAT “BOBBY BROWN”…LMAO!

Whitney Houston’s voice is Damaged. her voice sounds NOTHING like it did 10 years ago. She’s hoarse, very hoarse. King of sad that she use to be the baddest Chick in the game. But this vocal is on par with MUCH LESS talented women like Keyshia, Monica, Deborah.

I sincerely hope Whitney finds that VOICE that could hold notes forever, like on Greatest Love of All, You give good love. This voice is damaged.

Mariah, what do you have in store for us?
