I’m just glad she’s back. Some don’t like this song but this song has A LOT of meaning for because it is a COMEBACK for her. She’s telling a story, HER STORY so it’s not going to be her typical over the top vocals. She has been gone for a long time and her voice was damaged for a while so she needs to take baby steps back into the spotlight. Yall think she can just pick back up where she left off from “I will always love you” and that’s just not reasonable! Drugs kill your body and they have damaged her voice. I think this is a wonderful comeback song for her and her vocals at the moment. I’m sure when she’s able and back in the swin of things she’ll come with some of the old Whitney. Beyonce is by far one the BEST ENTERTAINERS/ARTIST/SINGER EVER! Beyonce’s version of the National Anthem, even though it followed Whitney’s, rivals Whitney’s version & is arguable better. Beyonce has excelled at every critism of her time & time again. She does not always lip sych & she’s proven to be a master vocalist both live & in the studio. 20 or 30 years from now, Beyonce will be seen as someone who revolutionize music of this era just like Whitney & Mariah of the late 80s & early 90s. Let’s not forget that Whitney was considered a sale out back then. Whitney did not deliver on this track & it’s too cheesy. I love Whitney & I’m happy to see her doing better but sista can’t sing anymore & needs to sit down like Chaka some of the other older singers. It’s ok to age but age with diginity & grace. Please!

I’m really proud of Whitney. I am glad that she is using her hardship in a song of inspiration. I do agree that the track in and of itself is not the best, a bit to “manufactured” for my own taste – could have easily been an album track from one of her ultra-poppy mid-80’s ballads – but the lyrics are beautiful.

I wish her all the success in her comeback, and now that she knows what the bottom feels like, she can really appreciate all of the new blessings that come her way should she make it back to the top.

Anyone who thought this would be Whitney ala 84-96 is a fool. For any REAL Whitney fan, we know she sounded a lot worst just a few years ago. The arrangement of the song is meant to be simple with hits here and there to simply convey the message. From what I AM hearing I hear the Whitney I grew up with in certain spots of the song but I believe the arrangement was meant to be simple and sweet, ala EXHALE, people are wanting that BIG BALLAD finish and she just didnt give it to us yet. For all the doubter all I can say is HOLD ON because she definately still has a trick or two

When I first heard this song…it gave me chills….no she doesn’t sound like she did back the early 90’s but the woman can still blow! The emotion that she points into this song shows her own personal struggle. I love it! This is 2009 Whitney and I am feeling it.

Oh and this is not the first single. Arista/ Clive has yet to announce a first single. I think they leaked this b/c there were bad quality versions floating around online.

No where near where she used to be. Her entire upper register is gone. Sad to have destroyed such an amazing gift. Certainly not the great woman she was before. And the song, while beautiful, is way too dated. Good Luck to her though.

what amazes me is that although her voice is no where near as good as it was she still sounds better than the nubies in this industry…leona lewis, beyonce, rihanna, ciara, ect would not hav stood a chance back in the day when whitney was in her prime!!!!!!

wow, great. Ill go with Janet and Browntown on dis one. Browntown always puts it succintly. The artistry and emotion cant be denied. For a woman who jest ditched drugs she did fantastic, cant expect all dat she used to have before.
