Downey’s role was different. He was playing the role of a white man playing the role of black man.

..wait, did that make sense…? A black man couldn’t have played that role because it was suppose to be a white man.

I definitely feelya on that one! But Hollyweird IS just what it IS, and I seriously can’t think of a better more talented person at this day and age. Also, I DO think that this would be a MAJOR CHALLENGE for my boie DEPP. I like and respect his versatility as an actor, for most that take balls and he put a lot into his acting. Then again, there’s that doubt -of course- that we all know, Mike can’t be duplicated and barely imitated. I think the mere curiosity rating will be the highest on this chart. Mainly that I’ve never seen any of his dance skills of which will make or break this. (interesting yo-si)

I know I’m gonna be in the minority, but I think Depp can do this. The man has a big acting range. He’s not C. Thomas Howell (Soul Man). I just saw Public Enemies and . . . damn. Yep, if this is true, he could definately do the Jackson role.

Johnny Depp’s my fav. white boy, but I doubt he would want to play Michael. Depp chooses films based on the story not the money it could make. I just dont think he’d wanna play Michael Jackson, though I’d love to see him do it.

Did people bother to read the article? LOL. The rumor is that they were looking at Johnny Depp to play MJ later in life. Truth be told, I think Depp could pull it off (as far as looks but I don’t know about dancing… and of course there’s always voice overs for the singing). Depp said, according to the article, that he didn’t know anything about it and didn’t seem interested. Read the article folks, lol.

I know that Johnny Depp would do an excellent portrayal of Michael Jackson…Depp takes his roles seriously & would really get into character…Evan Ross could also play Michael..as a transition period before Depp..The real question is who would initially play MJ as a child???
