Kobe Bryant Says “F*ck a Cav and a Shaq… We Have Artest!”: Ron Artest Signs With Lakers

Kobe Bryant is already setting up the pieces to win next season. Ron Artest has just signed with the Los Angeles Lakers:

The newly minted NBA champions made what amounts to a daring trade Thursday night, shaking up the league’s second day of free agency by essentially swapping out on-the-rise swingman Trevor Ariza for the versatile, physical and famously unpredictable Ron Artest.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Artest have struck an agreement in principal on a multiyear contract that, according to sources close to the process, will total roughly $18.7 million over three years or $33.5 million over five years, depending on which contract structure Artest ultimately prefers. But they had to let Ariza go to create the financial flexibility to do so.

This will be interesting next season. What a soap opera…

Bottom line: Ariza won that title for the Lakers and should have been the MVP. Kobe had better numbers but he SUCKED during these finals. The Lakers should have paid Ariza, I feel he deserved more money. Instead they got all spiteful with this “How dare you ask for more money” and gave Ariza the boot for Artest. Everyone knows Artest is a loaded gun. Him and Kobe is supposed to be close cause they play ball together in the off season. Whatever. When push comes to shove if Artest is in one of his moods we all know he’s gonna SNAP and he will snap on Kobe because he knows Kobe is soft as cotton candy and he can punk him.

LeBron is gone in 2011. PERIOD. Danny Ferry is garbage, he don’t know what he’s doing and getting Shaq is not enough to make the Cav’s a playoffs contender. They would have been on point with Artest or Ariza but both of those options are gone now. They don’t have enough money to get Chris Bosh. The Cav’s claim they are willing to spend money but so far what have they spent it on? Shaq and that’s it. New York get ready for LBJ cause he’s a comin’!!!!!!

Hate to see Trever go that hurt….but i feel a little better knowing they got Artest in trade.

This was a move to keep Phil jackson around for at least another year. The Laker team is young and you give away a uprising 23 yr old for an aging but still good vetern. They are just repeat right now.

The Lakers win the championship in 5 games and change up there team and bring in a wild card type player, i don’t really get it but I guess it does upgrade their talent level although Ariza fit perfectly with Kobe.

Ariza was a big reason why the Lakers won the Championship..he really stepped up when other people weren’t producing. Plus I think he had better chemistry with the team than Artest is going to have…This move hurts, I really liked Ariza on that team. Bad move LA.
