Colony Of Ants Found Living In 12-Year-Old Girl’s Ear

A young girl in India is suffering from medical mystery of sorts. The 12-year-old girl had been complaining of constant earaches and irritation in her ear. According to Times of India, and an infestation was found crawling in her ears!

According to Times of India reports:

The girl, Shreya Darji, 12, from Deesa town of Banskantha had complained of irritation in her ear to her parents in August last year. Her father found that there were some big ants inside the ear. Having found this, her father Sanjay Darji, took her to nearest ENT specialist, who removed around 9-10 ants from her ear.

After two weeks, the girl again complained of the same and her parents took her to an ENT specialist in Deesa town. But the sequence remained the same, as big ants crawled out of the girl’s ear. Her parents then took her to the best ENT doctors in Deesa, Patan and Ahmedabad, but no one could find the reason behind such a bizarre case. Dr Jawahar Talsania, a city-based ENT doctor, said that he has never found such a case during his practice of 32 years. “The girl’s case is very challenging for me, as I have never seen such a case, nor found it in medical history. The big ants must be biting her, but the girl did not event feel pain inside her ears. Besides, there was no damage inside her ear,” said Talsania.

“She came to me yesterday, when I extracted around 10 big ants from ear,” Talsania added.

Doctors still can’t find any ‘queen ant’ inside the ear who might have laid eggs and believe the girl’s head may be acting as a host for the insects. YUCK ON YUCK!!!!
