Thank you ShavonDenise.. You said it best… Whitney has nothing to prove but to herself. Our people are so critical and judgemental of each other. She is not trying to compete with Beyonce and Rhianna she does not have to. First of all Whitney can sing like Jennifer Hudson… Beyonce and Rhianna can’t touch that. Their popularity comes from a combination of things mostly looks for young american. Whitney is a singer of substance and style without it is nothing… Whitney’s vocal range may not be the same for whatever reasons but she has a voice and will play it like an instructment and use it to it’s best. Whatever her voice is she will deliver her message and songs to the strength of where her vocals are today not yesterday.. It is amazing to me how people past judgement without real thought… real thought not just first response thinking…

honestly when i listened to the song the first i wasnt too impressed. not because the song was bad but because i had already build an idea of a 5-octave hit in my head. the voice is there, wonderfull as ever. her voice has matured and listen to this song again but this time you need to listen to the song and with the emotion it evokes. a great singer needs to be versatile and Whitney can sing just about anything and i take my hat off to her. its a case of Quantity vs Quality and its the latter that wins. Welcome back Whitney. one last thing, black people need to stop hating on each other. no one is perfect, no one.
