Obama

President Obama is talking about the prospect of a North Korea war with the U.S.:

President Barack Obama says he doesn’t think any war “is imminent” with North Korea. Speaking in a network interview while meeting with Russian leaders, Obama was asked how precarious is the security situation in the wake of North Korea’s nuclear tests and new sanctions as a result of them. In the CBS interview, he said, “I don’t think that any war is imminent with North Korea.” He also said, “I think they understand that they would be overwhelmed in a serious military conflict with the United States.”

Obama said in a speech to The New Economic School that the United States and Russia “should be united” in resisting Pyongyang’s nuclear ambitions. In an ABC interview, he said, “We’ve already seen a ship of North Korea’s turned back because of international effort to implement the sanctions and I think that is a positive step forward.”

North Korea complying? We won’t hold our breath…

I love Korean BBQ and kimchee.

  • white male

Korean BBQ is definitely a south korean thing because in the north the people starve. What will Obama do when North Korea gives nukes to Iran??

America can poster and pose all it wants about possible war with N.Korea but it won’t happen unless N.Korea attacks the US period.

We can’t afford to fight 4 wars people. Yes I said four. We are fighting 3 now- War on Terror, War in Iraq and War in Afghanistan.

A war with Korea would spark a 3rd world war

Just say NO to the New World Order!
p.s. Kim Jong is no crazier than Barack’s puppet masters. Don’t you people realize that the only news we get about the world is through a very controlled media. We see what they want us to see, period. I smell a rat… time will tell…

  • devils advocate

Man, f*ck a war…they want nukes, lets give em nukes. Give a 72hr warning for civilians to evacuate, and level the entire country off of the planet with some plutonium. We can’t afford to lose any more American lives in war…period.

  • Demeter

If we still had Bush in office it would be just us and Norh Korea,(probably headed to war now) but with Obama in office international relations may actually improve to where we have some allies in this situation.

  • white male

Demeter I disagree with you. North Korea has caused more problems in Obama’s first six months than all 8 years of Bush.

  • PErvster

Any war with N. Korea fought today would be a naval battle primarily, rest assured, and N.Korea doesn’t have much of a navy. Because it is on a peninsula and accessible by water there are more than enough forward deployed forces out of Japan to handle that work. Pound the hell out of them by sea then go in on a ground attack and take the dump. They don’t want no parts of us in that area.

the 82nd airborne would glass their asses over inside of a week….just a tad of White Phosphorus bombs on their capital would end this nonsense

America’s military is stretched to thin to fight a conventional war with N Korea but America still has over 2,000 Nukes. What better way to show all these countries trying to make these weapons that America is serious about non-proliferation by nukeing N Korea. I bet iran would give up there nuclear program after they see what happens to N Korea.

  • leave-it-be

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ YEP I AGREEE…. THE U.S MILITARY IS STRETCHED TOO THIN, DON’T NEED THREE WARS GOING ON IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN NOW MAYBE N.KOREA!!!! HE IS BEING TESTED LIKE JOE BIDEN PREDICTED PRIOR TO ELECTION, BUT HE KNEW THAT WOULD HAPPEN… BUT HE ALSO HAS TO HAVE A VERBAL SHOWDOWN WITH THE KOREAN LEADERS TO LET THEM KNOW JUST CAUSE THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE IN PRESIDENTIAL SKIN COLOR DOESNT MEAN HE’S GONA BE PASSIVE & PUNKED!!!!
