So Why give him a break…The only reason he decided to the plea agreement and plead guilty is so that he gets a reduced sentence, which in this case really just let him go scot free. He’s still partying like he would’ve before; he did not get any “consequences.” In all reality, I do not understand why our community thinks it’s forgivable when a man hits a woman. No matter how amazing his music is, it does not make up for the fact that he battered a woman. It’s never okay. And who knows what he’s done aside from assaulting Rihanna. I mean the only reason this was out of the bag was because Rihanna herself is famous and they always had the paparazzi on them. The Chris/Rihanna case was not Domestic abuse, as “Just another Girl on the Irt” put it. It was a FIGHT. a MUTUAL fight. No, Chris should not have put his hands on her, and no she shouldn’t have put her hands on him, but that’s just the point; they BOTH were in the wrong, not just Chris.

I’m so sick of these double-standards! Do us women honestly expect men to act like robots when it comes to a fight? EVERYONE has a breaking point. And Rihanna has already admitted to verbally AND physically abusing Chris in the past–he NEVER retaliated. Just because the WOMAN is the abuser does NOT mean that it should go unnoticed. But we ALL want to jump on the hate wagon when the abused male finally has enough.

He did not BEAT her, he struck back in self defense. If you actually look at Rihanna’s picture, you can see; Chris hit her back once in her mouth and the two knots on her head came from her hitting her head on the dashboard when the car stopped. He did not bite or choke her, as the affidavit claimed. The judge through that BS out. The only thing we REALLY know is that Rihanna said she hit him first that night and numerous times before, nothing else. We have not heard her full story or his, so who are we to flat-out label this DV on his part? We weren’t there, and to be honest, all we know is what the media showed us, which, mostly was false. We have not seen Chris’s mugshot; only pictures of him 3 weeks after the incident, so how do we know HE wasn’t hurt to? We don’t. Not to mention, little miss Riri was prancing around in a two-piece a week after the incident.

Please focus on your OWN life and stop labeling people before you know all the facts. I personally enjoy Chris Brown’s music and believe that he is a sweet person from what I’ve seen and from what others have said about him. That’s why I’m so disgusted by your comment. Did you label Michael Jackson as a child molester when his case happened? I bet you’re one of his biggest fans now, right?…yeah that’s what I thought.
