I used to know this guy who recited poetry all over my campus. Dark-skinned, great physique, neat dreds, and amazing lyrics. But he had this weird smell about him…when he’d spread his arms for a hug I used to take a deep breath before going for it.

Well, one day, there was a poetry “party” at his dorm building…and I went in the restroom to wash my hands, and spotted a brown waxy blob in the soap dish. It smelled gross…

Turns out dude makes his own soap. LOL! So THAT’S why he smelled dirty…

Girl!! I knew this pink chick from highschool. One of those hippy mother earth granola crunching types. We were mad cool because she had the best buds (Hippies always do) but we used to hotbox her car and I used to DIE because it was all enclosed and stuffy and all I could smell was her ass. We stopped by her house to pick up something and I used her bathroom. Then I saw this THING sitting on the edge of the tub. I came out and was like “WTF is this?” (I thought it was something I didn’t know about because she was White and I was Black…kinda like hairspray)

She looked at me and was like, “Oh…it’s my salt rock crystal deodorant. You should try it.”

The album is great..Worth the wait..These “R&B singers” need to take notes..”Bad Habits” is my fav..

For instance Lil Wayne looks like he stinks, but Hill looks like he smells good..I would have never thought Maxwell was funky judging from these pics, but back in the day yeah I could see it..
but as far as the new CD..it is going to have to grow on me except for maybe 2 or 3 songs..

I know he can tear someone up in bed..and I’d be the one washing with herbal soaps and eating sunflower seeds.

Wow I didn’t know that. But I can kinda understand cause Maxwell has a unique voice. He couldn’t go up there and sing Beat it for example.

I love Maxwell but I see him doing Prince more so than MJ. BET should have gotten Chris Brown, Usher and Ginuwine like we said long time ago to do Michael’s tributes. Maxwell’s music has a more of a “Prince” vibe to it anyway.

i am done with maxwell. he showed up an hour and a half late for the Essence Fest and was the closing act. Then he came on singing his new songs that no one knew. People were leaving in droves while he was singing! Rumor is he refused to come on until he got paid Up Front. That’s all good, but don’t take it out on me. I already paid for my ticket!!!

My cousin used to work at a radio station, and she met Maxwell. She said he was really nice, gave all the ladies at the station hugs, and exchanged a couple of words with everybody before heading to the studio for an interview. Nothing about him being funky, tho.
