Beyonce’s Uncle Skip Passes Away

Sad day for the Knowles and Beyonce clans. Beyonce’s uncle, “Skip” Beyonce — Tina’s brother — has passed away in Galveston, TX. He died over the weekend, and his funeral is set for this upcoming Saturday. Via Galveston Daily News:

Lumis “Skip” Joseph Beyoncé relocated to his heavenly home on March 13, 2016.

Born July 10, 1949, in Galveston, TX, Skip was an avid golfer and faithful member of his church. He will be remembered for his generous and loving personality, and for his kind and genuine heart.

He is preceded in passing by parents, Agnes Derouen and Lumis Beyoncé Sr.; and brother Melvin Marsh Jr. He is survived by his devoted wife Cynthia; sons, Terrance Beyoncé and Terrell (Malu) Beyoncé; daughters, Andrea (Stan) Beyoncé, Lynn Beyoncé, Michelle Beyoncé, Dominique (Jimmie) Beyoncé-Hilton; Grandchildren, Deandre Beyoncé, Ledreya Washington, Jordan Beyoncé, J’la Butler, Caesar Beyoncé, and Bliss Beyoncé; Former spouse Barbara Beyoncé; Siblings, Selena Rittenhouse, Roland (Jeanette) Beyoncé, Florence (Jimmy) Hilliard, Larry Beyoncé, & Tina (Richard) Lawson; and a host of family and friends.

Private Celebration of Life services for the family and close friends of Skip, will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 1 p.m., at Praise Chapel. 18516 Highway 3. Webster, TX (281) 338-6633

So sad. Sources close to the family tell us he was a very sweet man and is already truly missed. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.
