Tamir Rice, shot dead by police while carrying fake gun

Cleveland EMS Captain Glad Tamir Rice Is Dead

Cleveland EMS captain Jamie Marquardt got on Facebook and said he was upset he “didn’t get the chance to kill the little criminal.” That “criminal” being 12-year-old Tamir Rice. And now Marquardt is (rightfully) out a job.

From Cleveland:

Jamie Marquardt was terminated Tuesday for making comments that violated the city’s policies and procedures, city spokesman Dan Williams said.

“The posts were not acceptable and do not represent the views or standards of the City of Cleveland administration, Department of Public Safety or Division of Emergency Medical Services,” Williams said.

Williams would not provide details on the content of the post.

A local TV station reported that Marquardt wrote, “Tamir Rice should have been shot and I am glad he is dead…I am upset I did not get the chance to kill the little criminal.”

Fox 8 also said Marquardt posted an apology the same day, and claimed someone picked up his phone and wrote the comments under his name.

Marquardt insisted in an email to the Daily News that he had never made the comments about Tamir.

“I did not do it,” Marquardt said. “I presented evidence to the city of Cleveland that I did not do it. They fired me simply because it was on the news. They have no evidence I did this.”

Hacked my ass. FOH!
