Monogamy is a CHOICE! It ain’t natural,it’s a CHOICE. There was no way in HELL he was running around town with this girl and his wife didn’t know about it. He provided for his family and if his wife was cool with the arrangement,then who are you to cast stones at him? It amazes me how we always expect other people to live up to “our”standards when most of us fail to live up to them ourselves. Man is not meant to spend the rest of his life with one woman. You can quote any religious doctrine of your choosing,but in the REAL WORLD,no man out here,living or dead ,wants to spend his entire life with one woman.

Steve McNair made his bed and now he is sleeping in it! He took that vow with his wife in God’s name!

Secondly: He was NOT a “good brother.” You said “By All Accounts” he was a good brother and if you really mean “all accounts” then that includes being a FAITHFUL,NON-SELFISH man.

He was an unfaithful and selfish man because he ultimately gave his life for some 20 yr old *****. What about his wife? What about his children? He was thinking selfishly when he had a mistress he was not thinking about his children or wife.
He is not a good brother he was selfish and now his soul is either in God’s hands or somewhere else (if you get my drift).

By most not all accounts, Steve was or appeared to be a comp*****ionate and caring guy. Also a duplicitous, double-life leading guy, too.

On another note, a lot of you have hinted that you would NOT have provided funeral services for him and wonder why she did….I wondered myself, how a wife who found herself in that situation would, too…..

Truthfully, I think his family (his brothers and his mother) took over the planning of the funeral because I recall an interview where one of the brothers mentioned upon hearing the facts stated that they would be ‘consulting’ with his wife.

They knew that regardless of how much she loved him, there was a very good chance that he would not have received anything close to the funeral that was recently televised. I think his 4 brothers stepped in along with his mother to take over the planning of his funeral.

She might have had him cremated.

While I am a young 22 year old proud black woman and I do not condone violence, there is this saying my mom always said “if you keep knocking at the devil’s door, someone is going to answer you.” And that indeed is what happened to Steve McNair.

I frankly don’t give a damn what sermon the pastor gave about casting the first stone, he cheated on his wife, had pictures of them sail boating and *****, and then she killed him and his wife and most importantly children have to live with the fact that there father was killed because he was cheating.

I apologize, but I don’t feel sorry for him. I feel sorry for his children. He has a little girl, what was he teaching her? What was he teaching his sons? I believe if you do not want to be married then get a divorce. Steve McNair was wrong and if I was his wife he just would have been put in a wood box and laid to rest in a field somewhere, he publicly shamed his family in death due to his actions. May he rest in peace if God lets him.
