An undercover child sex sting caught 18 pervy men arranging sexual encounters with kids in Florida through phone and online chats, police said.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd unveiled the results Tuesday of a multi-agency effort he dubbed “Operation April’s Fools,” along with condoms and candy seized from some of the would-be predators.

The men — ranging in age from 19 to 60 — believed they were going to have sex with children as young as 10 and as old as 14, investigators said. Five of the men arrested said they are married and several of the group caught in the sting sent pornographic pictures or asked for nude pictures from children, according to the sheriff’s office.

It’s disturbing and unbelievable how far some of these men went to have sex with young teenage girls.

One man, Samuel Hightower, 22, traveled from Anchorage, Ala., to meet with a 13-year-old boy at a Davenport Cracker Barrel restaurant, deputies said.

Howard Bishop III, 60, told an undercover investigator he thought was the dad of a 10-year-old girl he is “very much into nudism and quality family fun” and had a bag of candy in his car he bought for the girl, according to the sheriff’s office.

Yes, a bag of candy. SMMFH.

Jeffrey Binder, 26, a security guard at Walt Disney World, told a detective posing as a teen girl he wanted to do “everything” sexual to her, investigators said.

“Now I gotta tell my work and family that I got arrested for soliciting a 14-year-old for sex,” he said after he was caught, according to the detectives.

Uh, yeah, you do, Jeff.

Robert Gordon, 20, a grocery worker and volunteer football coach at Central Florida Christian Academy, showed up at an undercover location to have sex with a 14-year-old girl

That is definitely not something Jesus would do.
