My healthcare system is just fine! I go to the doctor anytime I choose, get prescriptions filled for only a few dollars, and visit the dentist as part of my healthcare plan. I honestly have no complaints with my healthcare coverage.
You obviously do not understand the severity of allowing the government to take control of more and more of what is essentially a personal matter.

Yeah by presenting an alternative option privatized insurance or the belief that current health care system is ‘working’ despite the millions of uninsured or the basis that even you have health care until god forbid the day you have a serious illness then most will see the reality of health care in this country
in that event your cancer is only going to be treated no in any method to actually take measures to resolve the issue or fight. It is a preconceived plan of treatment based on the fiscal cost of essentially your life to your insurer.
Practical example , the state had to sue for victims of the m*****ive 1-35 bridge collapse as their no fault of their own as even brokers with full coverage were treated for their injuries to an extent before their coverage was terminated. But lets continue to be the only modernized nation without any public health coverage and be ranked poorly in that category as well education and numerous other ones.
That same logical thinking produced the economic crisis by repealing the gl***** stegall act and letting wall street oversee themselves..

When underinsured and uninsured people get poor treatment for contagious diseases that then morph into more deadly strains, those deadly strains then know to p***** over people with health insurance? You got some special blood smeared over your door to protect you from resistant staff infections? You do know that is killing healthy people who have insurance.

I do live in England, I just work here 4 to 6 months out of the year.
Yes even the Canadian and English system has flaws, but even with the flaws it is way better than the American system.
If you are paying top dollar for a product, why do you not have the best product.

The goverment does not technically own GM , We the people hold the equity and when GM makes any sort of profit it comes to We the people first with intrest before hitting the bottom line of GM ’s Black ink.
Now in ref to healthcare I have lived in Canada, France, and of course the United States and I know all facets of the health care, The Canadian program is actaully partially funded while quite good , it was not quite as good as French program which is totaly funded. I lived in France for 2 years I am epileptic so this is serious/but not as serious as some other illnesses I nvever once had to wait more than 2 weeks to see a speicalist. The knowledge of the doctors were immaculate, and ALWAYS no matter how small the service , I recieved a follow up call /visit from a nurse to make sure that everything was going well. Sometimes they were more viligent about my care , and prevention than I was.
Now lets talk about the good old USA…what can I say in one word it stinks…and believe me I have the top of the line so called medical insurance it very expensive, I have to call to get referals , if I go to emergency room with out calling they attempt to bill unless you threaten them. One of my co wokers died of hospital related infection because she was in the hospital too long for a chronic Jaundice disorder…why? Because the hospital had mercy on her and allowed to stay in the hospital cause she was too weak to go home ( some hospitals would of sent her off anyway ) because her/our…healthcare company refused to pay for meds that can only be adminsistered by physican or Prac Nurse on 24 hour observation, by the time they finallly agreed to pay after much , hooplla from family , hospital patient rep office, and doctors….she died!!
So to Just My opinion…dont be so confident about your healtcare because if you wer to ask my loving friend coworker Suzie just 6 weeks prior to her death she too would hae said” Oh I am just fine with my healtcare company”

Sales taxes would integrate more people onto the playing field than income taxes.

You sound very sweet and honest, but if you need referrals you do not have top of line covergage. You need a PPO plan where you can go wherever your little heart desires with no questions asked. Anytime I have an issue I go on the internet, find local specialist, and call to scedule my appt. which has never taken more than two weeks to get into the office.

You would be very surprised how many people pay no taxes in this country because they refuse to work and they refuse to do anything productive for the advancement of their family. These are the folks I have issues with- whether they be white, black, yellow, tan or whatever! They don’t pay so why should they play?”
That’s all well and good, but consdidering the stagnant economy and the probability of a looming 15 to 20% unemployment rate countrywide by the end of the year, some of us gainfully employed bossipperer maybe in the same boat as these dregs and leeches of society you have so much disdain for…I’m not the biggest fan of some of Obama’s actions of late, but as far as his Healthcare solution goes, i’m kinda’ on the fence…I mean lets’ be honest, the current state of health insurance and its’ business model is slowly canibalizing itself, due in most part by its’ own greed. It’s doomed to collapse just like the housing market, by way of slowly outpricing itself out of affordability for the working middle-cl*****, which is the backbone of the economy.

….But regardless in FRANCE I DID NOT EVER HAVE TO DO THIS! The treatment of my illness was both technically and medicaly more advance than what I continue to recieve today in USA , I was living in France 6 years ago!… and oh, psst…by the way you recieve all that and it was FREE..

My personal experience…..
I’ve had healthcare coverage ever since I’ve been employed. Recently I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I can tell you from personal experience the number of people who don’t get preferential treatment due to their inability to pay. There are even some medical facilities that will not accept patients other than BCBSNC members!!
Another experience–I got a call the other day from a facility setting up yet ANOTHER MRI. I questioned the reason(s) for it and the receptionist replied “Dr **** said it would be best.” I asked her to be a little more specific and she replied “you can ask the Dr. at the time of the appointment.”
One more–Once I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was immediately put in touch with a research/study group. Please understand that I was ready to jump in and start whatever treatment I thought was best for me but NO–They weren’t having it!!!
It was only TWO days and they wanted me to start with the STUDY instead of my direct treatment. I ask what cost I would incur and I was told that it would cost upward of $150,000 with the possibility of me paying ALL of it!
I KNEW how much my coverage would cost and I didn’t want to run the risk of my insurance not covering it or the possibility of them dropping me because of my involvement with a study. (This has been known to happen).
Well, once I made my decision to opt out of the study, you’d have thought I killed someone in the head’s nurse’s family! When I go for treatment, she’ll walk right by me as if I’m not even there!!!
Just wanted to share that.

Conservative ideology to great degree would be like the 12 yr boy that died in new york from a basic tooth infection because he was denied coverage for something that would have essentially would have cost less than 20 dollars is that his ***** should had paper route or full time job to compensate for his mothers insurance limits. Im not worried the ideology is currently failing as it tends to attract few independent voters and groups such as black, hispanic and young voters. Nah I quit a couple of days ago. They restructured our pay plan and the same earning potential just wasn’t there anymore. So I got some offers but I’m just weighing them out and trying to make my next move a chess move. Hell I tend to forget that I have a degree sometimes, so that industry is not something that I have to do. You do happen to get addicted to it tho

I can’t speak for the healthcare system in France but I can give you my two cents about America’s.
by the way …when I say care I mean in terms of insurance not necessarly medical care provided by healthcare workers , I believe they are dedicated men and women who, if economicaly possible would provide adequate care equal to that of France , but because of the insurance companies everything is a NUMBERS GAME…

About 10 % of the stimulus package, if not (maybe) a few points more, has been sent to the states. Of that money the states using those funds to pay down their deficits instead of stimulating their economy by creating jobs.

As a working cl***** citizen and a taxpayer, I’m kind of in the middle. On one hand, I appreciate my coverage because I see what not having any coverage will do yet at the same time, I know that the healthcare system could better service my needs.

It’s been a disaster waiting to happen for the past 20 years or so…If anything, certain regulations should be put in place to slow down the astromomical cost before it becomes only affordable to the top 5% of the economical bracket…And if that happens, then “SOCIALIZED” healthcare maybe the only viable solution (GOD FORBID).

Taxes pay for services. Most people feel that as long as they are not cut out of the pie then it’s all good. So who gets cut out? Those that don’t have a voice which is usually the poor, those with mental illness, and children. If everyone is cool with that then I guess it’s fine. I really believe the housing economy bubble was caused by greed on both parts, the mortgage industry and home buyers.

1) the bulk of the stimulus money has not even be spent yet because the contracts bids for the projects have not been awarded yet. It takes 6-9 months for bids to be awarded.
2) GM was bleeding money (50 billion) with there in effective management of running the company. Should the government just get them a handout and expect that they will turn around the company.
3) I agree that allot of grant shouldn’t be awarded to people that can’t afford the loans but how would you stop or even slow the down turn in the real state market. They shouldn’t have been given the load but it happen, what is your plan to stabilize the market?

2) Obama is NOT in control of umemployment. Jobs are the tail end of a recovery. Anybody who knows anything about a recession knows that. Just yesterday USA today reported that layoffs are down to there lowest levels since the start of the recession though. I guess you missed that though. Who in their right mind thought this whole mess would be solved in 6 months??? lmao. You’re a cl*****ic member of the “Now” generation. You’re talking about the stimulus package like it was asprin for a headache. You should be thinking more along the lines of cancer and the stimulus package amongst other things are the treatments. Recovery takes a while. And there was no “MAX” unemployment rate of 8 percent idiot. It was an estimation used in Obama’s budget. Unemployment is higher than they anti*****ted. When estimations in a budget are wrong the administration has to make adjustments. Just like every other administration that proposed a budget. *****ody ever gets it right. You obviously haven’t been following budgets.
3. If we allowed GM to completely fail the consequences would’ve been catastophic. they employ hundreds of thousands of employees,dealers,suppliers and retired workers. They couldn’t let that happen. You think you’re complaining about the unemployment rate now…
4) I’ve worked in Italy and I’ve seen their health care plan first hand(not on fox news) and their system is LIGHT YEARS ahead of ours. It’s embar*****ing that the greatest nation on earth is so far behind so many countries in that area. You sound like a complete fool saying your health care plan is fine. I had to leave earlier, but I’m sorry I missed the discussion on the state of the nation’s health care system. My mother was diagnosed a few years ago with breast cancer, so I’m intimately familiar with the life-saving benefits of having health insurance. There are far too many uninsured people in this country — including millions of children — and not having insurance increases an individual’s chances of not being diagnosed with potentially deadly diseases (for example, breast cancer, disproportionately impacts black women with higher mortality rates), receiving necessary treatments, and routine check-ups. This is a life-and-death issue for many.
For all who haven’t seen it, I strongly recommend watching Michael Moore’s do*****entary “Sicko.” The comparisons between the availability of health care in this country versus other nations are enlightening, saddening, and infuriating.

@Chris Johnson, if you are still here, I am not wrong, I saw and heard first hand how the loan officers offering these loan programs (especially the arm loans) couldn’t explain them to their own clients. They were only interested in getting their bonuses and meeting and surp*****ing there quotas each month. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I experienced title companies calling and saying the clients were backing away from closing because they still couldn’t understand the program and their loan officer was no help to them. Therefore, you are the idiot because as I recall I don’t remember you sitting their beside me.
