Maybe Michael was smiling and being normal because he was around people who weren’t trying to get something from him. Makulay just looked like your average kid in a water gun fight. Janet, of course, was just a sister who loved her brother unconditionally. I can’t imagine the pressure of feeling like everyone thinks you’re some kind of freak or weirdo. God rest his soul.
