Not true. See Drake’s video as the most recent example. Ain’t no black chicks in there and *****ies everywhere. As far as who’s casting, it’s a combination. The director has the most influence and then the artist and management. Depending on how big the artist is, they can dictate who they want in their video.

As far as exploitation goes, what you see in hip hop videos is no differen then what you used to see in heavy metal videos of the 80’s. Male fantasies. These are genre’s that cater to the adolescent (grown men too) males desires. The psyche of man is a visual orientated thing. We like to look.

Women are more audible and imaginative so they go crazy over the singers and get off on romance novels. Y’all don’t complain about the male stereotypes Terry McMillan has made a living off of.

When did we as black people,become the purveyors of hate? I will date a black man just as I would date a man of any color. If he loves me, believes in the Lord, and treats me and those around with respect, what does it matter, is it of anyone’s business?
