Many women think they can be models because people tell them all the time how pretty they are, but being pretty just isn’t enough my friend. How many girls are picked by rappers and celebrities that never make it anywhere. Look at Sarah Lawson (George Clooney’s last piece), she went nowhere. But Amber had the right attitude, she wore the right close, she had a vision, she knew what she wanted. I don’t know what she had to do to get it. I personally wouldn’t do what she did, but she wanted it bad enough to do it. Therefore, she’s earned it. For that, I really hope that she makes it. I COMPLETELY agree with you. Some people have no idea what it entails to be a model and Amber Rose would be considered PLUS SIZE. Its a fact in itself. There’s no way she can book high fashion ad campaigns like Tyra’s protege, Chanel Iman. She has too much body which is fine. She’s not ugly by any means, but she isn’t industry standard. And people overuse the word “hater” wayyy to much. Even when modelling agencies give you a contract it doesnt mean you’ll get work. She’ll have to lose that weight to book jobs. For a stripper to come from nowhere take a modeling gig that could have been for me or one who has been striving for years. Just casue we are doing it the right way, booking agents,going to callings,going to industry parties just to get beliitled by rappers and anyone who thinks they have enough money to “wife” us for the night. I am a woman w/ethics,I have been and PAID for modeling school and classes since I was 17 and to have some stripper or industry ho take something I worked hard to get BOTHERS ME
