In our lives, Juve and I have seen a lot of death and lost a lot of friends too soon. But nothing can compare to what Juve has lost – his baby girl. My heart goes out to my homie and I am sure that I can speak for all of New Orleans during this difficult time: we want him to know that we praying for him, we love him and we support him through this and forever.”

This is horrific.. I just can’t imagine. I don’t WANT to imagine it. An entire family..
Things like this just ripple and affect so many people… the extended family.. friends…school mates…its just so tragic and unnecessary. Did they ever say what the motive was? Has he said WHY he did such a thing?
Prayers to the families and to the young man that did this. We live in a world that is full of sadness and violence. What would make a child kill his own mother? There is more to this than we know, but the saddest thing is that we are losing an entire black family for what? And this young man will spend the rest of his life in jail, for what? Everyone loses.

No shade…but was he even taking care of the little girl….I know that may mean nothing at this moment in time he may have genuinely cared for his daughter…HOWEVER this just goes to show you that using women as drop off points for your load of sperm is not always the thing to do if you can’t stay & be a family…. I know things happen in life beyond our control , but come on. Just think if there was a decent male role model in that household…maybe just maybe this could have all been prevented….I need for my black, intelligent men to dig deeper when choosing to run the streets instead of taking care & being at home first…..Dig deeper it will all make sense!!

I feel the same way. Like the situation is sad, no doubt about that and I’m sure Juvenile is torn up inside, but there’s a part of me thinking that there has to be (and there should be) some form of guilt *****ociated to what he is going through.
It’s like Juvenile is gonna be that relative that shows up at every funeral acting the fool, p*****ing out with tears flowing and they haven’t talked to, scene or thought about the deceased in years.

I just did a search on this. Juvenile’s daughter(4 years old) was apparently killed by her older brother along with her mother and her older sister. This is so sad. To those of you wondering about child support – the articles say that he was up on charges in 1999 for not paying child support and some type of charge about scuffling with police but it only mentioned that particular year. In another article it says that he was ordered to pay $900 in child support and $400 (separate from the child support) a month was put in a college fund for her..it says that he was doing this.
I know he lost his daughter that her mother had to take him to court over and sue him and all that, but let’s remember it was a whole family, not just the daughter of Juve. Sorry for his loss, but there is another father that has his son going through so much more. Let’s Pray for Anthony and all that he has to deal with. My heart goes out to the rest of the family that supported all of the victims emotionally without a visit to court.

I have heard that Juvenile never spent time with this daughter and never really accepted her. Can someone say what kind of a daddy he was? I hurt for her family but if he was an absentee daddy I don’t feel nothing for him

I think you started with yourself by setting a very positive example for married men. It’s easy to cheat on your spouse (husbands and wives). Anybody can cheat but it takes a strong person to turn away from self gratification of a one night stand(in some cases a three minute thrill). When it all boils down to it…it’s not worth it.

I am very sad to hear of this death…You must pay your child support in order to be considered a father. I live here in Atlanta and this brotha (Juvenile) has not paid child support since that little girl was born…what a shame!

February 21, 2008 — SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The 92-year-old sister of boxing great Joe Louis, was found frozen to death outside her apartment at an *****isted-living center, authorities said.
The body of Vunies High, who had Alzheimer’s, was found Monday.

Except that I don’t think any child should be abandoned. Like a regular white boy said at a message board far, far away: if there’s even the hint that you could possibly be the father, you need to step up. If you’re not ready to step up, don’t engage in unprotected sex.
If you never came near the broad, you have an excuse to step away. But if you screwed her and she ended up pregnant, her being easy is no excuse for you to lay it all at her feet. Because he had a DNA test on the little girl don’t mean he didn’t love her. I believe every man that ain’t married to a woman (and probably most that are married) should have a DNA test nowadays. I think statistics state that there is a high percentage of men these days who really aren’t the father of children after they have a DNA test. And by the way, if you’ve signed a birth certificate or admitted paternity and then have a DNA test and its not your kids, its too damn late, because the courts will not “basterdize” a child. That’s a fact.
My heart goes out to Juvy and his fam. This is such a terrible loss in such a terrible way. I have a child and I could imagine her dying let alone getting killed at the hands of a family member.
