Joy Reid To Replace MHP Show On MSNBC
MSNBC has decided to move forward with Joy Reid on weekends, granting the journalist her own original show that will replace #Nerdland favorite, MHP. According to a statement posted on Adweek, Reid says “Melissa did a show that was incredibly valuable.” She added, “Instead of trying to replace it, we will fill the space with something new; something compelling, and something that adds to the conversation.”
Melissa Harris-Perry had a falling-out with the network back in February, for which she didn’t stick around to resolve. Her complaint about the network revolved around not having freedom to cover her own topics and being coerced into talking about the upcoming election. We guess they found someone to abide by their content guideline.
Melissa recently announced her position as Editor-At-Large for Elle magazine.
