Barack Obama just released the following statement on the results last night:

Our projections show the most likely outcome of yesterday’s elections will be that Hillary Clinton gained 187 delegates, and we gained 183. That’s a net gain of 4 delegates out of more than 370 delegates available from all the states that voted.

For comparison, that’s less than half our net gain of 9 delegates from the District of Columbia alone. It’s also less than our net gain of 8 from Nebraska, or 12 from Washington State. And it’s considerably less than our net gain of 33 delegates from Georgia.

The task for the Clinton campaign yesterday was clear. In order to have a plausible path to the nomination, they needed to score huge delegate victories and cut into our lead.

They failed.

It’s clear, though, that Senator Clinton wants to continue an increasingly desperate, increasingly negative — and increasingly expensive — campaign to tear us down.

That’s her decision. But it’s not stopping John McCain, who clinched the Republican nomination last night, from going on the offensive. He’s already made news attacking Barack, and that will only become more frequent in the coming days.

Right now, it’s essential for every single supporter of Barack Obama to step up and help fight this two-front battle. In the face of attacks from Hillary Clinton and John McCain, we need to be ready to take them on.

    1ST! DON’T STOP!! OBAMA 4 CHANGE!!!

  • Lauren

    Oh and AWESOME PIC!!!!!!

  • chicairo

    YES WE CAN!!! OBAMA 08

  • bria

It should be clear what side Hilary is on. She is on her side. She does not care about this country. She makes the case that she wins the big states and she has won most of the big states but she can’t win in populated areas. That is not going to be good in the general elections.

She has made this race about his race and about his heritage. His heritage is my heritage and that offends me.

  • MRSWATSON

SMH…all that mud slinging and Hilary STILL losing…i LOVE it!!

  • Portia

Hillary bores me and I’ve lost so much respect for her these last couple of months. If she wins the nomination I for one will be very upset. Also if she wins I hope she goes just as hard on McCain as she did on Obama. OBAMA 08!!!

  • cns

    Love this picture.

  • http://www.myspace.com/birdshu Bird

We don’t have to take Hillary on Barack does. It’s way past time for him to man up. He needs to fire that idiot who created that whole NAFTA scandal and its time for him to start coming hard at Hillary on the issues. He can call her dirty, but she isn’t talking about his wife or his drug use. She is killing him on the issues. He needs to stop being a nice guy.

  • sillyme

I agree that it’s time for Hillary to drop out, but, if anything last night’s election shows that Obama is not as popular as he (and his party) thinks he is. If he can’t win states like California, Ohio, Texas in his own party’s primary, it will be tough for him to win an election. Despite the delegate count, the popular vote between the two is very close. They could go into the convention with him winning in delegates, but her winning the popular vote. And, Hillary has not made this race about race. America, or at least Democrats and the media, want their first black president; being African American is part of Barack’s appeal. 90% of African Americans would not be behind him if he had blonde hair and blue eyes or was Hispanic, and that’s a fact.

  • Hillary ’08

Go get him Hillary! No niggers in the White House! The South will rise again!

  • txgal

I hope that all the negative/racist attacks on Obama come back to haunt the Clintons. I’ve lost all respect for them. They’re pitt-bulls, will never stop until they destroy Obama. But hope is stronger than that. Obama WILL be the nominee. But Hillary will never, ever get my vote. I’ll vote for McCain before I even look at her!!!! Obama needs our support more than ever. Go to his web site and keep up with what’s going on!! He needs us! This one of the most important events in our lives!! We’ve got to pay attention to this!!

  • Diva08

I AM WATCHING THE CAFFERTY FILE RIGHT NOW ON CNN. AND EVERYBODY WRITING IN IS PISSED OFF THAT HILARY WON. PEOPLE KNOW HOW DANGEROUS IT IS TO HAVE TWO FAMILIES FIGHTING FOR POLITICAL CONTROL IN THE UNITED STATES( CLINTONS/BUSH). EVEN THOUGH CLINTON IS DECLARED THE WINNER IN THE PRIMARYS OBAMA WON THE CAUCUS. OBAMA ALSO WON THE MAJOR MTEROPOLITAN CITIES SO THAT IS WHY HE WON MORE DELEGATES IN TEXAS!!!! HOW CAN YOU CLINTON SUPPORTERS CALL THAT A VICTORY. AGAIN SHE ONLY WON BECAUSE THE RACIST HISPANICS WONT VOTE FOR A BLACK MAN. THE MAIN THING THAT CLINTON HAS AGAINST HER IS THAT AMERICANS BLACK OR WHITE DO NOT WANT THE POWER STRUGGLE FOR THE WHITE HOUS ETO CONTINUE BETWEEN THE BUSH AND CLINTON FAMILIES.

  • Obama supporter

Ohio and Texas disappointed me yesterday….OBAMA NEEDS TO WIN!!!! GOOOO OBAMA GOOOO!!

  • Darth Paul

Check yourself, Diva08. It was the white Texans and old guard democrats (BLACK folks included) that gave Hillary her edge. Don’t pin failure on “racist” Hispanics. The younger hispanics (and they outnumber the older ones) voted overwhelmingly for Obama.

  • NotoriousOne

All of these negative attacks by Hillary and her supporters are just a warm-up to what Obama is going to face in the presidential election. It should only serve to solidify his armor and his platform. Shore up all those loose ends that Hillary is trying to make an issue so that they are non-issues when McCain tries to re-hash them in the general election. Obama’s election is inevitable.

    OBAMA ’08 & ’12

    YES WE CAN!! &

    YES WE WILL!

  • RJ

Sounds like a sore loser to me. It’s time for Obama to drop. If he can’t take this heat, he definitely won’t be able to face the Republican machine. He needs to get real. This isn’t a race for class president; it’s for the President of the United States. He needs to stop whining and start telling folks what he’s about, what he’s done, and how he’ll address the country’s problems. So far, all he’s said is that he agrees with Clinton on 99% of the issues. That’s why folks were bothered that Clinton was always asked the tough questions first duing the debates; he got the easy way out.

People need to really vote on his record and his ideas, instead of his RACE.

  • yes

shes countin on that hispanic vote because they are a large population, but they aint stupid

  • NotoriousOne

    @ sillyme…

I don’t think it’s JUST that Democrats want their first black president. Yes that might be ONE of the factors, but I think after 8 years of Bush the country IS ready for CHANGE! And for a lot of Democrats Obama is the face of change. While a lot of people might feel that Hillary in office will be “business/politics-as-usual” and as a country I don’t think we can afford to have that, even if it’s just for another 4 years. CHANGE needs to happen and it needs to happen now.

  • Estelle

I couldn’t help but comment — Barack and Michelle look so adorable in this pic. I mean — they seem like the greatest couple and remind me of a NORMAL family. Both of them seem to be really genuine people and I can’t wait until I see him on tv being inaugurated as the U.S’s first black president. HE WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY!

you and your comments are SILLY

  • Lovely One

I was soooo disappointed when I saw the Texas & Ohio results. Then again, didn’t these two states vote for Bush 4 years ago? I’m quite sure that Bush got the Texas vote. Maybe she has a larger republican vote than Barack.

  • RJ

    Obama’s a LOSER. Period.

  • what?

    Obama! Obama! The future!

  • KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

SILLY ME.. IF I UNDERSTOOD U CORRECTLY U SAID CLINTON ONE THE POP VOTE AND OBAMA THE DELEGATES….WELLLL.HEEEELLLOOOOO. DELEGATES ARE WHAT WIN AN ELECTION..NOT NECESSARILY THE POP VOTE..HOW DO U THINK WE ENDED UP WITH BUSH IN THE FIRST PLACE..LOL

  • bree

    @ KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

do you mean that Clinton WON the popular vote?

  • what?

I’m from Texas. I voted for Obama. I caucused. A lot of black people were out and voted for Obama. What happen is that republicains voted in the Democratic primary to get the Hillary to run against Mccain. Repubicans don’t want Obama to run. The republicans didnt caucus for Hillary though thats why Obama still has more delegates. This is a stategy that republicans in Texas have used for a while. Republicans don’t care who get in office as long as it’s a republican so they will skip the Republican primary to vote in Democratic to get the person they want to run agaist Mccain.

  • http://gossipishforyou.blogspot.com/ Honeymoon

I love Obama, Obama, Obama !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Afro Latino

Ever since I’ve been old enough to vote in 1988, there has been a Bush or a Clinton in the white house. At some point I just don’t think all of the nepotism is good for the country.

However I can’t be mad at H.C. for doing what she had to do to get back into the race. So congrats to HC…at least for tonight.

Warning to the H.C. camp though; don’t go too negative on Obama, because whether your white, black, Latino, young, old, man, or woman; Obama is the future of the

    Democratic Party.

So in HC’ attempt at her last hurrah, lets not Divide the party as well as spit in the face of it, as Obama will be around for the next 20yrs. And Obama will only get better.

  • KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

IN GENERAL….SHE MAY BE WINNING THE POP VOTE BUT HE IS GETTING MORE DELEGATES..AND DELEGATES ARE WHAT DETERMINES WHO IS THE PRESUMED NOMINEE…MAYBE I MISUNDERSTOOD WHAT SILLYME WAS SAYING.

  • lionesspurrr

lol @ rachel still sweet tell it!

  • KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

THIS IS WHY EVERYONE IS SAYING SHE “WON” YESTERDAY..IN THE LONG RUN WHAT COUNTS ARE THE DELEGATE TOTAL AT THE END. MY REFERENCE WAS TO AL GORE WHO “WON” THE POP VOTE BUT WE STILL ENDED UP WITH BUSH BECUZ HE HAD MORE DELEGATES.

  • REALBOI

TXGAL you are SUCH an idiot – its crazy – please abstain from voting, ever again.

  • VicKaLiCiouS

I know Obama will win the Nom!!! I have faith in his ability to do so.

Hillary can’t be trusted. It’s something about her that makes me uncomfortable lately. Mexicans are so easily manipulated it’s scary.

  • Reggie08

What did you think was going to happen! Hillary is the ideal politican for the job. I agree with RJ’s post above. Obama for President…yeah, in about 12 maybe 16 more years. I believe a change is needed just as much as the next American, but I am a “Realist”. Obama will not win against McCain in the USA in 08′. Let’s go with a sure bet. If a politican is as honest as Obama, he should be the next “Ghandi”. No politican is honest to the extent he portrays. He wouldn’t be in politics if he didn’t have some skeletons in the closet. Politics is dirty, and that’s just what it is. If you are too clean and honest with everything you do, then you are clearly an outcast in society. Most African-Americans are voting for Obama because he is familiar (Black), and i’m crazy because I voted for Hillary. I ask this….Did you vote for Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson when they ran? How quick you are to throw stones!

  • RIP Snoop

    @rachel still sweet 25th/2008

    you are sooooo on point

  • serene

Idiots, its an ELECTION!!!! they are tryna to get to the white house. its the reality of politics. Its so funny, how some of you have lost respect for the clintons cuz they are dirty, because i guess obama hasn’t been playing the same way. Reading some of the comments on here only confirms to me that most of you have no clue whats going, you just saw a brotha running, and decided to jump on board. Some of you are so blind that ya dont even realize that half those stories were over hyped by the media, and half the things most ppl are talking about she didn’t say.

If you know what the issues, you’d know that Hil as been ON POINT on every one. The economy is falling apart, what has barack said about that. people can vote for who ever they want. Just don’t be ignorant about whats going. Put down the pomps for both candidates, and LISTEN to what they are saying cuz thats what we have to hold them to what they say. I voted for Obama, but i made sure i know whats going on, and listened to what they have to say.

  • Diva 08

    @Darth Paul

I don know where you came up with that but if u actually watched THE NEWS espcially CNN you wouldnt have made such a dumb statment. LMAO Blacks voted for obama 80 somin percent. whites 47% but hispanics 68%… Please dont come to me with supid uninformed comments.

  • Reggie08

    @ Knowledge is power:

Yeah, America has always been ready for someone honest. Yep, we need more another Nixon, Reagan, Bush, and W. Bush. Those were real honest people, so honest that they let you know just how real and honest life can be with you are poor, uneducated, black, hispanic, and middle-class in America. Seriously, I am not taking any chances of having a Republican in office another four years, and surely not a bitter war crazied McCain. Name a politican that’s not shady?

  • CLINTON CONSPIRACY!!

I will tell you what Clinton and McCain are trying to do!! THEY ARE IN CAHOOTS WITH EACH OTHER!! Hillary clinton is trying to bash obama so hard so that if she does not win the candidate position, then American’s won’t vote for Obama and McCain will win the presidency!! McCain already said he will only serve ONE TERM. So when his turn is over, she can gear up to run for president again!!

    The clintons are SHADY!!!

  • KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

    Reggie:

I thought you were saying the only reason you chose Hill is because she is shady and Obama wont win because he appears too honest.

  • CLINTON CONSPIRACY!!

For all of you stating Hillary as more experience than Obama. Can anyone of you off the top of your heads name hillary clintons foreign poilcy expreinces..What did she accomplish has a New York sentor..what bills did she put through the senate? Lets see how long its gonan take them to google it.

  • CLINTON CONSPIRACY!!

SEREN, FOR YOUR INFO I KNOW WHAT GOING ON!!

CLINTON WANT TO MADATE HEALTH CARE OUT OF THE AMERICAN’S POCKET BOOK INSTEAD OF DEMANING IT FROM THE GOVERNMENT. CLINTON SUPPORT NAFTA (YEAH SHE DID, OBAM CALLED HER OUT IN ONE OF THE DEBATES) WHAT MAKES HILLARY SO MUCH MORE EXPEREINCED THAN OBAMA? HER HUSBAND BEING IN THE WHITE HOUSE?! FROM THE WORDS OF BILL MAHR “THATS LIKE SAYING MY HUSBAND WAS A PLASTIC SURGEON SO THAT MEANS I HAVE EXPERIENCE!!)

I AM BLACK AND I VOTE FOR OBAMA BECAUSE THE CLINTONS ARE NOT CHRISTIANS, HILLARY LOOKS UNTRUSTWORTHY, AND SHE WANTS TO KEEP THE ECONOMY THE WAY IT IS!!

  • Diva 08

What are hilary’s polices…what is the Biggest difference between her and OBama..what experience dose she have on foregin poilcy etc? Please let me know please point out the differences between her and Obama..take your time and Google it…I am waiting to hear your answers and the better be factual.

  • Rai

Thats right Obama!!! Whoop that trick!! Whoop that trick! Get ‘em!! ((LOL I got to stop watching hustle and flow))

  • CLINTON CONSPIRACY!!

someone above ealier in this post said that obam won all of the major cities in Texas and Ohio and that is absolutely right!! The only reason Clinton took those states is because they are more RURAL, than SUBURBAN!! go to CNN.COM and look at the states. The counties with the most colleges, the most people, and the most educated people went to OBAMA in BOTH STATES!!

WAKE UP!! ITS NOT JUST BLACK PEOPLE VOTING FOR OBAMA..THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH BLACK PEOPLE TO WIN THE ELECTION!!

  • Karen

IF HE CAN’T WIN THE BIG STATES IN THE PRIMARIES, HOW THE HELL DO YOU PEOPLE THINK HE’S GOING TO WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION?????? DID YOU PEOPLE REALLY BELIEVE ALL THOSE WHITE AND POWERFUL OILMEN AND BIG BUSINESSMEN IN TEXAS WAS GOING TO VOTE FOR A BLACK MAN TO WIN THE WHITE HOUSE!?!?!?!? TEXAS WILL PROBABLY NEVER HAVE A BLACK GOVERNOR!?!?!?!? WHETHER ALL YOU WE SHALL OVERCOME BLACK FOLKS WANT TO ADMIT IT OR NOT, HILARY CLINTON GAINED A LOT OF MOMENTUM LAST NIGHT AND IF SHE KEEPS GAINING MOMENTUM THE SUPERDELEGATES WILL DEFINITELY GIVE HER THE NOMINATION. PERIOD

  • Reggie08

    @Knowledge is power:

I like to gamble sometime, so this is one bet I can’t lose. If Clinton wins, that would be cool because I voted for her; however, if Obama wins, it’s even cooler, because he’s the first black president, honest, and he going to bring about change. I am not willing to place the majority of my trust on Obama winning; therefore, I voted for Hill. For those bring up NAFTA: I don’t think NAFTA would have passed if it wasn’t for the pressure being placed on Bill by Newt Gingrich and friends(off the top of the dome..people play politics but I know them). Signing off, take a break from your daily sleep walk and think about the tragic state of this country over the past 8 years, and how it all unfolded.

  • Afro Latino

    Yo reggie08,

IMHO I think people are moved to Obama not because he’s black, but because he brings optimism. There have been many good Presidents that lacked so called experience, but in the end did a great job.

With all due respect, Jesse nor Al aren’t even in the same class as Obama; politically, intellectually, or even as a communicator.

Do not be mislead like sheep by the old guard of American politics. Obama Is La bron James and the Clintons are Michael Jordan with the Washington Wizards :)

    That’s a beautiful photo.

Hookers STEP BACK. That’s her man.

Brothers keep your distance. She’s his woman.

And Obama will deal with Clinton’s ass. He’s been getting better and better, in debates, in campaign, he will not be stopped because he isn’t fairweather. He’s got a plan, and the plan includes dealing with seeming setbacks.

  • Reggie08

    @Afro Latino:

I agree with about Al and Jesse. I was only being sarcastic. I tid mean the other things I said. You are the one that should not be lead astray by false promises. You have been warned by our great leaders(W.E.B. Du Bois, Malcom X, and Marcus Garvey etc.) of the past that America will never be ready for the type of changes you invision. I am not knocking anyone for their voting preference; however, I will say that OPTIMISM is a form of desperation in my opinion. You have to give something to get something. As long as there are big corporations lobbying in D.C., the country…naw politicans will always be corrupt.

I voted in the elections in Texas last nite I know my vote DID NOT COUNT -Obama got ROBBED no more politics for me forget voting -they wanted us to sign on cardboard paper …the person who was suppose to organize it did not show up. voting in CARROLLTON 75006 TX, AT NORTH DALLAS FELLOWSHIP CHURCH WAS A SCAM; I Promise on everything I love black in Life (MY KIDS) they did not count our votes -they tried to hush me up from asking questions -all that did was further prove this is a WHITE MANS WORLD…

LOL@ Kyle Kutter: “Failure to prepare, then you are prepared to fail”. I voted in Richardson last week at the Civic Center. I chose not to caucus because of the lines and hassle. In church last Sunday (Friendship West) Dr. Haynes, asked the congregation to stand up if they voted….about 60-70% stood up.It let me know then, that most blacks are voting for Obama so they can belong. I vote for me and I would advise others to do the same. Texans have been able to early vote since the last week in February. Don’t cry about it being a “White Mans World”. People like you get no pity from me, you only make it worst for educated, well-informed, and sincere African-Americans like myself to disprove the image of our race.

    Kyle Kutter, are you serious?

Dude, I don’t know who’s in charge down in Texas, but contact the Obama campaign through their website about what happened to you. The Obama campaign takes these things seriously.

I think I remember Lovely and Amazing does phonebanking for the Obama campaign, so she may know who to contact if you want to let somebody know what went down, officially.

Also, one of Obama’s people posts at Daily Kos, write an email to

    groundboy2002 at yahoo dot com

he goes by ‘geekesque’ and he’s been keeping track of voter disenfranchisement. Ask him whom you should contact and what to do to get this officially recorded.

Also, my handle has a link to jack and jill political blog. There are four members there you can write to:

Jill Tubman – jjpolitics at gmail dot com

Baratunde – jackturnerpolitics at gmail dot com

rikyrah – mamahelena at aol dot com

dnA – toosenseblog at yahoo dot com

they may be able to direct you on how to make sure you are heard about the problems you were having in Texas.

That’s Hillary spin. Read Obama’s statement. He’s still ahead of her in delegates despite her ‘winning’ the big states. And those with the exception of Texas — which Hillary dissed like a mofo two weeks ago — and Florida, which doesn’t count because no one campaigned there except Hillary, those ‘big states’ are not only reliably Democrat……..

but the only state Hillary legitimately crushed Obama in was Arkansas, by like 70 to 20 something. Obama’s been crushing her everywhere else, and he’s been extremely competitive in the ‘big states’. Don’t get spun by the Clintons.

Nice try but for someone who claims they were in politics for for this is all you could come up with? “Hillary is on the armed services committee, she’s represented the U.S in 80 countries. She even went to China to lobby for women’s rights. She introduced a bill that increase benefits to veterans”. Thats pityfull really…The rest of your post is irrelevant to my question because you are just bashing OBAMA.

  • Diva 08

    @ kaysizzel

Here is WHY I AM voting for OBAMA

He has ten years experience in public office, more than the two other leading Democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton (six-plus years as Senator from New York) and John Edwards (six years as Senator from North Carolina).

He created programs like the state Earned Income Tax Credit with bi partisn support(republicans and democrats) which in three years provided over $100 million in tax cuts to families across the state.

In the united states senate His first law was passed with Republican Tom Coburn, a measure to rebuild trust in government by allowing every American to go online and see how and where every dime of their tax dollars are spent. He has also been the lead voice in championing ethics reform that would root out Jack Abramoff-style corruption in Congress.

On foreign policy BARACK OBAMA IS ON THREE OF THE FOUR FOREIGN POLICY COMMITEES WHILE HILLARY AND MAACCAIN ARE ONLY ON ONE…SOME EXPERIENC ESHS GOT LMAO

In the U.S. Senate Obama is unique among Senators in that he serves on three of the four Senate Committees dealing with foreign policy issues including the Foreign Relations; Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs; and Veterans’ Affairs committees and is the Chair of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on European Relations which is responsible fore U.S. relations with European countries, the European Union, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (i.e., NATO). When comparing Obama’s foreign policy experience with other candidates for President you have Democrat Joseph Biden who is Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Democrat Hillary Clinton who is a member of the Armed Services Committee and John McCain who is the Ranking Member of the Armed Services Committee yet there is no Senator except for Barack Obama who serves on three of the four committees that deal with foreign policy.

  • Diva 08

    Veterans’ Affairs Committee

As a member of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Senator Obama has fought to help Illinois veterans get the disability pay they were promised, while working to prepare the VA for the return of the thousands of veterans who will need care after Iraq and Afghanistan. Recognizing the terrorist threat posed by weapons of mass destruction, he traveled to Russia with Republican Dick Lugar to begin a new generation of non-proliferation efforts designed to find and secure deadly weapons around the world. And knowing the threat we face to our economy and our security from America’s addiction to oil, he’s working to bring auto companies, unions, farmers, businesses and politicians of both parties together to promote the greater use of alternative fuels and higher fuel standards in our cars.”

  • Diva 08

    Ethics:

He helped creating The gift ban law, the first broad ethics reform in Illinois prohibited politicians from using campaign funds for personal use, barred fundraising on state property, established ethics commissions, curtailed fundraisers in Springfield during legislative sessions and mandated online reporting of campaign finances.

It also created independent inspectors general with subpoena powers to look into abuses by legislators, statewide officeholders and their employees. It further clamped down on the types of gifts lawmakers can receive and prohibited lobbyists and their spouses from sitting on state boards and commissions.

He’s going to respond with action. He is a thinking candidate, not a hollow poser like Hillary. If it truly calls for war he’s ready. Difference is he is not going to put the country at risk over his ego or profit. The previous presidency has every one thinking that we have all these enemies for no real reason.

We acquired all these enemies with a series of Bushes in the White house. Hillary is no different from Bush allot of talk and no real passion for the job. She will play the part. Show up at all the right Press events, but when it comes down to the job she would fail miserably.

Remember It’s the ones with the big mouths that never know how to fight. Hillary would go down as the first American President to get pimp slapped on foreign soil.

  • Logic

Its good that so many blacks are involved in this election. But its clear that a lot of us don’t understand the game of politics and will probably wind up with another republican president in November. No one should be mad at Hillary for challenging Obama. Its her duty as a candidate to prove that she is the better contender for the position.

I’m for Obama all day and we definitely do need change! however, we also need a leader who can hold his own. So he better roll up his sleeves, smile and show us what he’s made of with a grin on his face. Because he will not win the general election without a fight. His positive nice guy approach is admirable and good for the Oprah effect but it can also back fire and end up making him look like the weaker candidate. This is not American Idol y’all….this is the leadership position for the most powerful country in the world. Winning the election is the first step, change is the second.

  • crazy black lady

obama lost texas because he criticized blacks for eating popeyes fried chicken check out his speech on youtube. he also said the sermon on the mount endorsed gay marriage and the book of romans was insignificant vote for mccain!

    Hillary,

You may want to at least start winning before offering anyone a seat under you. Oh but that’s what desperation makes you do. Thanks for showing up Hillary, I have been wanting to say that to you all day.

  • kaysizzel

1)In the united states senate His first law was passed with Republican Tom Coburn, a measure to rebuild trust in government by allowing every American to go online and see how and where every dime of their tax dollars are spent. He has also been the lead voice in championing ethics reform that would root out Jack Abramoff-style corruption in Congress.

2)On foreign policy BARACK OBAMA IS ON THREE OF THE FOUR FOREIGN POLICY COMMITEES WHILE HILLARY AND MAACCAIN ARE ONLY ON ONE…SOME EXPERIENC ESHS GOT LMAO

3)He created programs like the state Earned Income Tax Credit with bi partisn support(republicans and democrats) which in three years provided over $100 million in tax cuts to families across the state.

-The first one is the only thing he has been able to pass. The second, he has yet to go to any of those meetings. Third, he created that? That’s almost laughable, you mean he consponsored with several other senators?

All the things you mention, he has not once said that in any of his speeches. All I ever here him speak about him being a community organizer.

I love the confidence. Plus, the math adds up. It’s great that Obama made this statement, because I was somewhat down today after the results. His team is right, he’s still on top. He’s the front runner. Let’s not let him slip.

  • OBAMA, A TRUE LEADER!!

i don’t know about anyone else, but when i listen to OBAMA speeches i hear more than “community organizing” i hear him talking about the terrorism and how he believes that they are in packistan(clinton, and republicans laughed at this…until they heard from the chairmen of intelligence backed him up), I have heard him speak about lowering college tuition in exchage for pubic service. I have heard of him talking about giving raises to teachers, and rebuilding this nations falling education system.

You know, its funny how people like “kaysizzel” are on here talking about how its stupid to talk about hope…and wanting a change in society….those people sound just like the black people who said we would never be able to vote, and the men that said that women will never be equal to men. Like OBAMA SAID..THERE IS NOTHING FALSE ABOUT HOPE!!!

  • Diva08

NOW YOU ARE BACK TO BASHING OBAMA….CONVINCE ME TO VOTE FOR HILLARY…IS THIS REALLY THE BEST YOU CAN DO?

You can read my post, it is written very clearly. Please explain why Clinton’s economic advisors all went with Obama.

I never once said it’s stupid to talk about hope but come to think of it, it is stupid to talk about hope coming from a candidate who has no record of anything he promises.

In what could be the biggest State Department scandal since State Department official and United Nations founder Alger Hiss was exposed as a Soviet spy, a top Clinton State Department official and former Time magazine journalist has been identified as having been a trusted contact of the Russian intelligence service.

  • http://Lycos Monotheistic Proof

    @ OBAMA, A TRUE LEADER!

Thats exactly right!!! The very moment I decided Hilary was not the candidate for me is when she admitted in the New Hampshire debates that the system is broken, yet accused Obama of being naive for wanting to fix it.

She doesn’t care about change, she cares only about making history. We finally have some one willing to go against the grain. This has proven to be a dangerous thing in the past. This man is putting his life on the line for positive change in America. And we question whether he is strong enough to be president. Huh, I just don’t understand your logic???

    Obama 2008!!!

  • kaysizzel

with that, I stop procrastinating on my paper due on mercury and fish consumption due tomorrow…it was fun…and in the event obama can get his sh*t together and get the nomination. I will support him and if he gets elected and the corrupt nature of D.C ( i mean this world) and checks and balances overwelms him – i will get to say, I never was riding his d*ck on b.s campaign promises

    So long from Seattle, WA

  • Diva08

If Hillary Clinton is elected president, the United States of America will be under the same two family’s political control for 24 years now..seriously people is that what you want:

    1989-1993 George H Bush

    1993 to 2001 Bill Clinton

    2001-present George W Bush

    2008-2012- Hillary Clinton

    YOU CALL THIS DEMOCRACY?

HELL NO!!!!! THERE MUST BE CHNAGE..THE POWER STRUGGLE BETWEEN THESE TWO FAMILIES MUST END.

THIS REMINDS ME OF SOME CORRUPTED THIRD WORLD COUNTRY.

  • OBAMA, A TRUE LEADER!!

So what about the Clinton’s and their support of NAFTA? And Hillary has a great track record of keeping her promises? I have no doubt in my mind that OBAMA is just as razor sharpe as Clinton;what i admire about him is that he is not stooping that low as to use these tactics. Hillary is only harping about OBAMA having fluff speeches becuase she herself is not as articulate or as motivated a speaker that OBAMA is. You talk about her “lobbying” for women’s rights and being on committees…that same thing that OBAMA has done….honestly, you talk a good game about hillary having all of this experience, but in reality, she is just as fresh in this candidacy as OBAMA.

  • http://Lycos Monotheistic Proof

    @kaysizzel

Here we go, you mean the same NAFTA that Hillary supported? The same NAFTA that Hillary now admits needs reform. NAFTA was a remnant of George Bush’s Economic Legacy. It past during the Clinton years because of the republican majority. Clinton added some amendments to lessen it’s impact. It would have passed regardless.

What I do know about BILL Clinton’s economic advisors is that they took America through its economic golden age, got the economy back on track two years into Bill’s Presidency. Created a lower unemployment rate than we have seen years. Opened the door for small business and entrepreneurship. Effectively began to reduce the national debt for the first time in decades.

the caucus I went to lastnight started waaay late! I arrived PROMPTLY at 7:15p just like they told us, it actually didn’t start til almost 8p ’cause people were still voting, but I stayed and waited it out, (I figured that was just a ploy to discourage us).

We didn’t get to sign our names until about 9p!

…and as far as their deisgners, I think whoever they have now is doing a GREAT job! Barack STAY “open casket sharp” and Michelle was cute lastnight!

  • lovely and amazing

This picture is their strength and power.

    A strong marriage is power.

    A faithful husband is power.

    A devoted father is power.

Obama has been way too polite thus far. He has a power Bratlary lacks and its time to roll up his sleeves and use it.

There needs to be a lot more of this picture on display. Michelle needs to be at every church women’s group talking about the power of a faithful husband and strong family, on Emeril making their favorite family recipes, you get my drift, etc.

Beat white girl with her own playground politics. Hold hands, flirt, be what the Clintons are not and can’t be, a strong healthy marriage. Don’t even need to say anything, just be and be seen.

This is Bratlary’s vulnerability and the reason behind Bill’s racist grandstanding on behalf of his wifes so-called honor.

They need to cut Bratlary down to size where she is vulnerable. And make it comparatively clear that a dysfunctional marriage with an unfaithful husband and impeached president should not be trusted to manage the white house.

Just my two cents for all its worth.

    Obama 2008!

    Yes We Can!

  • http://www.cnn.com Ana Paula

Don’t put this into a race issue. We need the best candidate possible and if Obama is chosen as that person then we as Democrats should support him and if Hillary is the person we should support her. McCain is only seeking to continue the Bush tactics for another term

  • I told yall 5 months ago that when it came down to actually going into that voting booth and pulling that lever for Obama, white and messycans aint voting for a black man, especially one with a name like that. Messycans aint voting for a black to be presi

Hillary’s buzz word to the media was her desperate approaches and they (media and certain republicans) pounded on Obama. Start observing and being more alert to what is going on. Hillary is using buzz words and emotional statements. She and the media and Republicans are conspiring. It is so obvious the Clintons are in bed with all of them. When Hillary cries and complains it reminds me of movies I see on TV and film of the white woman in distress and the white mob coming to her rescue. Hillary you are so through, so give it up honey. We are so tired of you and your husband.

    @rachel still sweet

You are so right, we need more beautiful and intelligent Black babies and children, and we need to repopulate and build our existence. Let’s get busy.

We also need to demand that immigration laws favor conscious Blacks around the world. They prohibit black immigration because it poses a threat. This is an unfair practice. We need to demand that this be changed, and encourage and help the immigrant blacks here to get their citizenship so that they can vote. It’s a lot of them here without voting rights. There are Blacks around the world that are starving and suffering badly. They too would like to come to American, work and send money back to their families as well, just like the Mexicans have been given the opportunity to. This will definitely strengthen our population here in America.

  • tj

Hillary is clearly going to try to steal it with the super delegates.

This will not happen because the superdelegates know that blacks and youth (the center of the Obama movement) will leave the party. Especially with Ralph Nader now in the mix. The superdelegates will look at this rationally and see that Barack runs better against McCain and that not having Barack will lose the white house and possibly the Senate. They will most definitely choose Barack. Right now what we are seeing is a waiting out. The supers are looking for an oppurtunity to anoint Barack principally in order to let down the Hillary supporters easily enough for them not to leave the party in November. But Obama will be the Democratic party nominee I would bet everything I own on it.

  • tj

Also for you dumbasses saying you will support Hillary if she steals the election. You are just as bad as the chitlin eaters supporting her in the first place. Hillary as all but said that some of the states Obama has taken don’t count becauase they’re too many black people in them. That means she thinks your votes should count for less. You would have to be an idiot to blindly support the Clinton’s after the tactics they’ve pulled in this election. Of course you would have been an idiot to support bill after the welfare reform act, Nafta, white water, and travelgate…

If she were to steal this I will happily cast my ballot for McCain as a protest. And probably encourage others to do the same. Slavery is ova. Yousa free now!

    Go Obama!!!

  • James

Mark my words. Obama has won the presidency! and no matter what you see on tv, i know for a fact that he has won and will be president. Notice, i said i know for a FACT, this is not opinion; obama will be the next president. Damn, people, i really wish you guys would read, these things are in plain view. I have already scaled down how the election will go and it is going according to plan, to the T, just check my previous post if you disbelieve, man, these people put these things right in your face. Obama won the presidency, and that is not necessarily a good thing, even though i like him. well, you will see my comments come to fruition in the up comming month or so, so get comfy.

  • http://Lycos Monotheistic Proof

    @Ana Paula

I use to say the same thing that you are but if Hilary even had a chance after what she has shown me it would be tough to vote for her.

She has behaved even worst than the GOP. She is not tolerable at this stage. I don’t want another unethical president. You are not for me if you play the race card to create fear, steal elections and commit to a broken system.

I don’t see a difference between her and McCain. But it doesn’t matter because Obama is winning and will win. Despite the press’s attempt to keep this thing going.

Just the GOP’s remote control working overtime to try to weaken the democrats. Hillary was just selfish enough to fulfill their wishes. If McCain wins it will be Hillary and everyone that voted for her who will be the blame.

They’re saying Al Gore will speak to the remaining Super Dels to get them organized under Barack.

Hillary has messed up. She sacrificed the war for the battle. Her supporters don’t see it yet but it has already happened. The democratic party is organizing as we speak. Hillary can’t offer a competitive advantage to the GOP.

She took herself out of the race with this disgraceful unethical campaign. Integrity and Ethics was the very thing making democrats the favorite. She will not quit (to much money invested) but believe me she is done.

HILARY CAN’T EVEN RUN A HOUSEHOLD YET ALONE A COUNTRY. What does experience count if most of the things you tried to accomplish never came about. Its not about color it’s about not going for the same type of stuff we’ve had before. I’m tired of politics.

Hilary can’t even think for herself, she says what is written for her by her staff. She is straight politics and says what you want her to say. I love Obama for the fact that he sometimes stutters when he answers a question cause that means he’s thinking about what to say for himself and not what was written. He’s intelligent and he got pushed into it to fast but he’s still brilliant. I’m not naive, I know who really runs the country and no matter how much he wants to change most of it will be impossible for it to happen. But if just for a moment he bumps heads with the people in Washington and tries to do stuff for the people then it’s worth it.

The only time it comes down to race is when it comes to foreign policy cause lets be honest, places like Iraq will not deal with a woman president or take her seroiusly.

Hilary is a phony, fake, politician.

She said she would keep the race clean but now she’s slinging dirt. She fired her campaign manager and hired a black one cause it looks good. She can’t admit she made a mistake. She is a hypocrite and a liar. I’m a woman and I can’t give her respect. It anoys me that people can’t see through the fake persona she puts on. She would have made a great actress.

What Obama really needs, is a better woman in his life. It’s time for a new model.

    THE WHITE WOMAN LOVE MANISFESTO

We give less drama, 9 times out of 10, we’ll have dinner waiting for you. Sexually, we’re more adventurous, suchas willing to allow you to bring in another female to bed with us. We know how to be a female, as in we will not make any decisions affecting both of us without discussing it with you first. We will never ask you where you’ve been, but how was your day. If you wanted us to know where you’ve been, you would’ve volunteered the answer if need be. We will always respect your manhood. We will never emasculate you. And last, but not least, we will love you unconditionally.

Now can the same thing be said for the average Black Woman?

  • Black to tha Bone AKA The Swirl King

The white woman is the weakness of every black man. If I was with team Clinton I’d send a sweet sticky thang out to seduce him, leak it to the press and thats game over. America doesn’t like black man/white woman dynamic. LOL

    Hillary 08 baby!

  • Bronx Brawler

We have too many ppl that still possss a slave mentality especially the idiot above me.

  • GBH…Obama 2008!

    @marcia

White women are the answer? You’ve only stated that you are passive,”don’t ask…don’t tell”…that sound familiar? You define ‘love’ as existing without any substance, all you offer are your ‘ass-ests’ but the fact is you are envious of black women. Always craving the forbidden fruit. You criticize black women but you try so hard to mimick us. Botox has you twisted! You sit in the sun conjuring the melanin you lack, spending millions of dollars a year trying to become cosmetically fit, injecting your lips, hips and ass to create the fullness that we have naturally. Black women come in every shade thanks to the lust of your ancestors!

You’re an easy target. Basically you perform without question, but a true woman knows how to stand behind her man and lift him up without getting run over. A true woman demands the same respect she gives. Women of virtue know that a man is the “head, but she is the neck that turns the head”

As for your so called sexual liberation…puhleez, you have no exacting standards, the one thing men of all races knows is that a white woman is always down for whomever-whenever, that’s no secret. You all play yourselfs, leaving little to the imagination-nothing exotic about you-just EASY!

Your logic is off. From who’s perspective was bush a nice guy? I never thought Bush was a nice guy and saw through him from the start. He was a professed coke addict that was reborn through religion. His views were narrow minded and biased. He supported war and had a chip on his shoulder when it came to Iraq. That being said look what happened.

Do you really think people have forgotten our current President. Maybe that speaks to your own limitations. Don’t run because we are questioning your candidate’s credentials. I voted Gore and Kerry successively. Your comment begs the question who did you vote for? Are you at all responsible for this turmoil?

Please know Bush only got elected because Florida stole the election for him.

Go Obama!!! There is no comparison between the two.

Actually thats a myth he has spoken about the issues more than Hillary. How is questioning Barack’s relationship to Farrakhan, discussing whether he stole parts of his speech (hypocritically at that), and discussing his Kenyan roots etc. staying on the issues.

Every knock against him coming from her camp isn’t issue based. But most knocks on Hillary are. Stop spreading Hillbillies lies.

  • Arizona King

…its the fact that he hides his name. His wife said that use of his name is “fear mongering.” Why? Who would be scared of a Muslim name on a man who is not a Muslim? “Hussein” is a common name in the middle east, and it happens to be the name of a former boss of mine (a great guy).

But why would Obama hide it?

Could it be that he has less faith in the American people than he professes in his eloquent speeches? Is his “hope” in America far less real than he professes?

In the end, Obama is just a lot of fluff. He offers nothing — except criticism of the status quo. He has no experience, no military background, no legislative perrogative. He is simply an eloquent complainer.

I’ve got to admit: Hillary is a woman of terrible character. I wouldn’t vote for her in the national election — even if she was the only person running. So what does that leave us with?

OBAMA: No experience (in Congress or the military). A great speaker but offers little revelation about his agenda.

HILLARY: A woman who knows the dirty side of politics all too well. She moved to New York — because it was the only place that would vote for a political carpet bagger. She doesn’t hide her liberalism, but is certain to move to the Center upon election.

JOHN McCAIN: A war hero with over 20 years in the military and 25 in the Congress. He is a legislative “maverick” who often sides with his conscience over his party. He understands national defense and the military, and he spent years working as an advocate to Native Americans.

To me, the choice is clear. Senator John McCain is the only truly safe choice for the office of Commander-in-Chief!

Blacks only vote for blacks when they promise them lots of things that will keep them in the grip of the government, i.e. social programs like affirmative action and welfare.

Arizona King… What the hell are you talking about.. Obama is the 1st black candidate so I guess what you are saying is that since NOW blacks have never voted because we only vote for blacks and there was none before him???

    McCain on the economy:

McCain: “The issue of economics is not something I’ve understood as well as I should. … I’ve got Greenspan’s book.”

I have to agree with Frum on this one.

What if the economy is worse in September than it is today? Romney can talk comfortably and knowledgeably about healthcare, jobs, and trade. McCain – much less so. Won’t that be a problem for the GOP in what may soon become a recession year?

The economy will be worse by then and when McCain said he doesn’t know much about the economy—welll–that didn’t help him in that area no matter how many times McCain denies saying this…

Perhaps from The Wall Street Journal, which on Nov. 26, 2005, published this quote from an interview with McCain: “I’m going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated.”

Or maybe the Boston Globe’s Political Intelligence blog, which last Dec. 18 published this quote from McCain: “The issue of economics is not something I’ve understood as well as I should. … I’ve got Greenspan’s book.”

    Damn, he’s got Greenspan’s book????

Oops… excerpts from Crooks and Liars website….

McCain’s website promises “bold solutions” (like maybe printing up more of the hundred dollar bills shown for his promised tax cuts) but he’s not bold enough to mention either the banking crisis or the rapidly deteriorating housing market. Tom Sizemore at the AFL-CIO Blog:

It is hard to believe that a presidential candidate would come to Ohio without a plan to address the home foreclosure crisis that is devastating working families. Ohio had over 153,000 foreclosure filings in 2007, this is only one more example of how out of touch Senator McCain is with main street America. …A McCain presidency would be nothing more than a third term for George W. Bush.

Why is terrorism the most important issue to McCain when people can’t keep a roof over their heads or food in their childrens mouths?????? Rebutt all you want. McCain is not a frickin option, at all.

Take your ignorant, afraid of everything behind somewhere else. We are where we are in this country because the white men who have been in power are afraid of everything and their cold, warlike nature makes them feel they must deal w/their fears by using violence. It’s time for a change in how we function and move in this World.

  • Arizona King

    @ Awake

No, I am a PhD candidate in Public Policy and Administration at George Washington University. I made it — even as an African American who refused to acknowledge my race on the basis of ethics.

I suppose that little minded liberals like yourself are shocked that a black man can make it without the bones thrown to us by the Democratic Party?

I have been called Uncle Tom, a “sell out” and a “coconut” — all because I don’t buy into the lies told by the Democratic Party and their black reps (like Sharpton, Braun, and Jackson). Who is the real “Uncle Tom?”

Why not ask your good ol’ buddy Barack?

  • Arizona King

He voted to raise taxes FIVE TIMES during his six years in the Illinois state senate.

Obama was the only state senator to vote in support of PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION.

Obama was the only state senator to vote against a requirement of having a medical doctor present during abortions (in case of failed abortions). He argued that the bill’s language implied that a baby that survives an abortion and is born outside the womb should not be considered a “child” or else the state would have to offer due process to such babies.

Barack Obama declared his support for sex education to minors as young as six years old in public schools — including the preached acceptance of homosexuals in first grade story time.

Barack Obama voted in support of “secret” abortions for children as young as 12 years old WITHOUT parental knowledge or consent. These children would simply leave school, have an abortion, and return to school — without their parents ever finding out.

  • Arizona King

    @ His Wife

The racists often show themselves to be the minorities who feel threatened by those among them who have made themselves successful by their own hand instead of government handouts and *dare* to urge others in their communities to do so.

  • Arizona King

Obama also voted against allowing health insurance to cover prenatal surgery to protect an unborn child. While working both as a trial lawyer and in the Illinois state senate, Obama reasoned that declaring an unborn baby to be a “child” would offer legal protection of a fetus. This, he felt, could be eventually extended to protect babies from an abortion.

So Obama voted against extending health insurance to cover unborn children, against medical doctors in abortion clinics to protect children living after botched abortions, and from considering legal causes of unborn children injured by violent criminals.

Yet he opposes the death penalty because it is “inhumane.”

  • hiswife

So are you saying that all KKK members are “threatened by those among them who have made themselves successful by their own hand instead of government hand outs”

Racist by definition — a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one’s own race is superior and has the right to rule others.

    2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.

    3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

  • Arizona King

@ His Wife & other misguided black liberals

    I’m a conservative …and I am unashamed!

Why should I be ashamed of my heartfelt beliefs in front of a bunch of neo-hippies?

I do, however, hurt for my children when they see me called a “coconut” or “Uncle Tom” for being both an African-American and a conservative. It is disheartening to see people resort to such mindless bigotry for voting with a conscience.

Yet I am not the only conservative African American. The 2006 General Social Survey (GSS) showed that African Americans are far more conservative in regard to most issues than the Democrats or the media would have you believe. They just don’t know it yet.

With the proper time and exposure, you will witness a mass exodus of minorities away from the false promises and offered bones of the liberal leadership of the Democratic Party.

Mark my words: A mass exodus is coming in which the minorities of this nation realize that the Democratic Party is still the same old party of Jim Crowe, except far more liberal and with less appealing bones to exchange for votes. We are a people of tradition, and cultural and religious values. These values are a stark contrast from the ultra-liberalism of Nancy Pelosi’s Democratic Party.

I think that we will be surprised by the positive response that McCain will receive in November from African Americans and Hispanics. Bush received 10% of the AA vote in 2004. I suspect that McCain will do even better.

  • Marquis de Sade

    @ Arizona King

You undercut your own argument which is a common folly of those whose passion for or against a particular issue or in this case, candidate gets the best of them. To whit: Your statement about the Parental rights being ignored if as in your example, an eleven year-old girl was given an abortion against her parents wishes. First of all, any parent of an eleven year old that becomes pregnant, if that pregnancy was not the result of a rape, has in my mind forfeited the right to be called a ‘parent’. Would you really want YOUR eleven year old to undergo chiildbirth? To be a parent of a child when she is but a child herself? Most of your arguments against Obama, touch on the abortion issue, and they are powerful ones, but they are narrow ones as well. Your use of his Middle name, which is becoming comically irrelevant as the far right wing keeps hammering it home, was even denounced by Karl Rove. By all means, please continue to use it though to highlight your arguments, because if that is the best you can do, which is to use a mans middle name, to argue that he would not be a good president, well that is a very telling argument to your own judgement.

  • minty fresh

    @Marquis

Actually, Marquis, what undercutts Arizona King’s abortion argument is that Obama has gotten a 100% rating from Naral and Planned Parenthood. The reason why abortion hasn’t been a hot topic in this cycle is because the three leading candidates, Hillary, Obama, and McCain are all pro-choice.

  • minty fresh

  • hiswife

@Arizona King– So what you are saying is being president you can pick and chose what issues are important to you and not the people? You can ignore what directly affects this nation? If what you are saying is true and the issues that I raised are not “presidential issues” then why is the minority vote so important? I mean after all those are some of the minority issues are they not?

  • Marquis de Sade

I actually agree with Arizona King in regards with his response to His Wife. The last thing we need is a micro-manager in the white house. Let each individual state or the U.S. Supreme Court handle those issues.

You know Hillary and the media keep acting like she did something. She did win but not in the way that she expected. Clinton needed 65% of the voter to gain or make up ground. SHE DID NOT, therefore Super Tuesday was not as sucessful as she wanted it to be. The media did not get this excited when Obama won 11 in a row. Stop acting like this election is over. Its not. Obama is still in the lead and still in control. He needs to let the people know that now is not the time to panic. Clinton is not doing as good in the election as she is in acting.

I never said that my vote for Hillary was based on foreign policy. Hillary’s foreign policy is actually quite similar to Obama’s, with the exception of the fact that she is a far more keen diplomat than he, given his series of gaffes. Bill and Hillary are well known and appreciated overseas. I voted for Hillary because she’s been an advocate for children and families for the majority of her life. I voted for her because she has the balls to make tough decisons. She actually had the gumption to vote on Kyl-Liberman, unlike Obama who didn’t show up for the vote.

  • minty fresh

but that’s nothing new to him given his series of “present” votes in the Illinois statehouse. When are you going to acknowledge that Obama is also political opportunist. His stance on Kyl-Liberman is shades of someone who doesn’t want to get his hands soiled on anything controversial.

Why aren’t you answering any of my questions about his present votes in the Illinois Stateshouse and foreign policy gaffes, his lack of oversight in the Senate Foreign Relations committee, the fact that he’s supposed to be candidate of change, yet votes with Hillary on Iraq war bills. And No, he doesn’t have more foreign policy expreience than Hillary. I already refuted your example about his being on the foreign relations committee. He’s been too busy running for POTUS, to hold hearings or have any real oversight. If that’s all you’ve got then you need to better.

no, my statements aren’t getting ridiculous. you’re the one dodging questions

  • NYC

The point is that at least we are all discussing the issues. It doesn’t matter whether we agree or disagree or who we want to win. The mere fact that people are actually giving active thought to the current situation shows that change is already taken effect. Normally, most citizens (all races) would not be engrossed in the primaries and issues being addressed. Unfortunately, it took a blow to the economy, a deceptive ‘war’, and many lost lives for us to regain interest in democracy (the USA practices democracy; therefore all parties falls under democracy). My mother was very active in politics and encouraged me to be involved as well. I wish she was around to witness what is taking place now. …I wish she was just still around.

  • minty fresh

why don’t you tell me why he didn’t vote on Kyl-Liberman. Why don’t you tell me why he’s voting with Hillary on Iraq War bills. Why don’t you tell me why he didn’t sign that letter that Hillary wrote to amend Kyl Liberman saying that the resolution couldn’t be used to support millitary action in Iran?

All you seem to able to do is call my ideas ridiculous. You’re not addressing anything

and like I said, Nita, Hillary makes the tough decisions. Obama only tries to keep his hands clean. What legislation has Obama passed on the Iran front? I know he keeps voting with Hillary on Iraq war bills. and honestly, do you cut and paste everything? You know I could do that too, you know?

  • minty fresh

what are you talking about, Diva? the burden of proof about Obama being an agent of change is on you, seeing as that Obama is supposed to be the change we can believe in. If Hillary’s foreign policy is worse, why can’t you seem to explain why? I’ve explaining my take on Obama’s foreign policy bumbles or what I consider to be his weakness. I’ve stated bills controversial bills that Hillary has voted on in the foreign policy arena.

  • minty fresh

and you know what if you wanna say that it’s no big deal that Obama is voting with Hillary on Iraq war bills like all the other senators, then you can’t chide Hillary for voting on the Iraq war, cause guess what, most of the other senators did too. Obama’s just following along, right?

It’s not the soldiers’ fault they’re stuck in Iraq. They’re doing their job. Until they come home, they need our FULL SUPPORT. It’s not Obama’s fault that this war was started intentionally with false information, while shooting sunshine out of asses about what it would really take to support and supply the troops. The troops need to be able to stay alive until they can come home. I don’t fault anyone for voting for supplies.

That’s not the same as voting for escalation.

    @Nita

No it’s not the soilder’s fault that they’re stuck in Iraq, what I don’t appreciate is the effort being made to distinguish him from Hillary on the issue, when in fact, they are similar. that’s what I’m saying.

    @Diva

take anyone of the phrases, I’ve listed in my 12:30 post and like google it or whatever. “be specific, be specific . . .” I was specific, I was specific, I was specific. You claimed that Hillary was worse, and never explained why? Of course you didn’t address any of the points I made about Obama not having oversight in his foreign relations committee, his NAFTA controversy or any of that. You just keep asking me for details and calling me ridiculous.

“Yea but hillary voted the iraqi war as a young iinexprienced senator who just wnated to follow the crowad. Obama was one of the few who didnt regardless of what people thought”

    @Diva

hun, are you serious? So let me get this straight, are you saying that Obama isn’t experienced enough to not vote on Iraq war bills? And obama wasn’t even in the senate when the war was being voted on, so his “judgdment” in that matter really doesn’t hold watter, when you think about it. It’s real easy to say, I didn’t do whatever, when you were never in such a position to make a tough decision in the first place. And if you think his “i didn’t vote for the war” bit is going to work against John McCain, you’re dreaming.

    DIVA,

your posts have been the least substanative in this little debate our ours. You’re like a broken record.

  • minty fresh

    @Nita

what do you mean, don’t go there. It’s the truth. He avoids controvesy. You don’t want to acknowlege that because it would tarnish your view of him not being the political opportunist he is, but it doesn’t make it any less of a reality.

why are you bringing monica into this? and I read what you wrote yesterday about that Huma Abedin, Hillary/lebianism thing and it was very juvenile. If I went into the Minister Farrakhan endorsement/muslim-anti-semetic thing. You would be mad. What are you talking about, Hillary not making tough decisions. She voted on a Kyl Liberman. She voted on the Iraq war based on the information she was given.

I don’t why she hasn’t been given that security clearance yet.

And Obama has attack ads too. His NAFTA mailers, his negative tv ads in Nevada and Wisconsin. He’s not above it, so can’t you acknowledge that. Why is it so hard for you to acknowledge that he isn’t the hottest thing since sliced bread. He, like Hillary is flawed. He’s not winning the big states like she is.

why are you getting on Hillary’s case for the 3am ad? Tell Obama to come out with one of his own. It’s called politics.

And how long are you going to blame every criticism of him on race?

@NYC wrote, “The point is that at least we are all discussing the issues.”

    That’s true.

And I’m sorry about your mom. I feel the same way about my grandmother. I wish she were here to witness this, too.

    Après lui, le déluge

    The kitchen sink runneth over.

The fact that many would fall prey to such a desperate, Rovian grab-bag of distortion and misrepresentation brings home a truth that, now more than ever, must be recognized–a truth about us.

As long as we remain susceptible to negative campaigning–as long as we allow inchoate fear and primitive doubt to overwhelm our capacity to understand and check the facts–we will get the winners we deserve–namely, those who win ugly.

Democracy takes more than participation–a goal we have yet to achieve–it also takes a willingness to apply thought over fear.

We have been trained to respond to fear appeals aimed at the pursuit of electoral success very well over the past 7 years–and at this point, we should begin to become inured to them. In plain speaking: we should wise up.

The Clinton camp has discovered a formula that, at least in the days of its brief burst of novelty, has worked. We can expect a deluge of such tactics in the coming weeks.

However, despite a sink that will likely fill to bursting–paired, of course, with the conciliatory words that are meant to justify and allow further attacks–we now have time to adjust and evaluate.

We can and should do so.

A campaign that wins in adversity by the use of distortion and fear will govern in adversity in the same manner.

Note, as a single example, today’s report by the CBC that Canadian Prime Minister Harper’s chief of staff, Ian Brodie, was indeed the source the leak of supposed quotes regarding NAFTA–and that Clinton’s team had also allegedly told Harper to “take her NAFTA concerns with a grain of salt.”

This is the true “red phone” lesson, one that we should remember over the coming weeks. Overcome vague appeals to fear and unproven distortion. In the slowly receding shadow of these past two terms, pursue reality. In the face of appeals to induced doubt, unproven “experience”, and dark insinuation, tenaciously learn–and vote–the facts.

If she wins using fear, she will govern using fear…

    OBAMA, on t’aaaiiiiiiime.

La monde entier n’attend que toi.American people wake up and make the history.

    Sorry for my english

  • Marquis de Sade

    @ Awake

That’s not necessesarily true. Remember people, the object of getting elected is to promise the sky. Trust me, there has never been a presidential candidate that has came through on all of his promises…And trust me Barack is no exception. Me personally, i’m leaning more toward McCain due to the fact that he’s more of a moderate as opposed to ultra-conservative or too liberal. I feel that to maintain and run a healthy democracy is to find the balance between both parties ideology, thus learning the value of compromise. If you remember the first 6 or 9 months of Clinton’s first term, he spent a large part of it fighting the GOP over policy changes, thus preventing much of anything getting done. Since this country is in the early stages of an economic recession, i feel that we as a country can ill afford to get bogged in a pissing match regarding “TOO CONSERVATIVE/TOO LIBERAL” agendas.

  • minty fresh

hey, french person (coupe decale), you got a lot of nerve telling us to wake up and make history. Last time I checked it was Sarkozy not Segolene Royal who won the election.

  • Marquis de Sade

LOL! Who takes the french serious? As far as i’m concerned their only contribution to humanity is their fancy cuisine. Oh! And that Marceau chick in that James Bond flick about ten years ago.

CALIFORNIA, OHIO, TEXAS, FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN ARE RACIST SEGREGATED STATES. OF COURSE HILLARY IS GOING TO SWEEP UP THOSE NOMINIATIONS AND EITHER JOHN MCCAIN……..

THEY KNOW BETTER THAN TO PICK A COLORED DUDE…….

BARACK IS STILL GOING TO SWEEP UP THE RACE AND HILLARY WILL BE LEFT IN THE DUST. THEY CAN THROW ANYTHING THEY WANT ON OBAMA BUT HE HAS TRUTH AND WISDOM AND HE CAN MAKE THE CHANGE WE ALL NEED.

DONT YOU KNOW THIS COULD BE

“THE NEXT COMING” OF THE GREAT SUN IN THE HIGHER BLUE SKIES.

GOD IS JUST PATIENTLY WAITING. HE DID PART ONE ON FLOODING HURRICANE KATRINA AND HE STRUCK PART TWO WITH THE JENA 6 MOVEMENT WITH FIRE. AND NOW PART 3 IS THE BLACK PRESIDENT.

AND THEN HE SHALL PROVE HIMSELF.

    (america be ready)

  • Arizona King

You liberals kill me. Aren’t amazed that Democrats suchas Obama, rallies against government intervention from the Patriot Act (meant for defense against terrorism), but they will lobby for government intervention nearly everywhere else (including the enforcement of getting my dog “fixed” — even if we want puppies from this dog)?

  • antiprocrastination

To the people who are saying that Hillary has done more for blacks than Obama. Please google or read up on MalcolmX when he spoke about slaves and slavery mentality… if the master was sick, the slave says “we’s sick boss”… if the house caught fire, the slave would work harder than the master to put the fire out. I say all that to say this:

slavery mentality has one to believe that the master really cares for them, even love them; the master fed and clothed them; disciplined them; even showed them a little kindness at times; BECAUSE IT WAS IN THE MASTER’S BEST INTEREST to keep the slave dependent on him and somewhat satisfied with their surroundings.

That is what we have here in America when it comes to the Clintons and those 17% blacks who still work harder than any supporter, any white, even the Clintons themselves to get out the vote for them.

    Wake up Obama 2008!

    @Monotheistic Proof:

Why I can’t get down with the GOP? Maybe because it is a deceitful hypocritical war machine and the the leaders have a schizo god complex. They use God’s beautiful name to give credibility to their desire to control the world.

    BREAK

If everyone in the conservative party is such a Jesuit why are they so willing to murder and kill. Why are they so an eye for your family. How do you hate and fear other people if you are truly grounded in pursuit of an after life and protected by God?

    IT

I can’t get down with the conservatives there platform is so full of bifurcation. Everything is image ready and substance deficient. In one breath you believe God is the ultimate power but pony up around the world killing people in God’s name? If that was his goal does he really need your help?

    DOWNNNN!!!!!

America has a God given right to be free but no one else does? Sex is the source of life but it is bad but violence is the source of death and it is good??? This country is about freedom but we need stronger control of the people. Not a person yet?? it’s murder!!! Become a person the death penalty serves justice.

You continue to enrich and enlighten these posts with deep, serious thought. Thank you for that.
