I think Kendra looks nice although I don’t know much about this chick beyond the fact she was in Playboy. Vanessa I must say does look tacky however I don’t get why Kobe is blamed for what she is wearing. Did it ever occur to people she chose to wear that all on her own? I can’t judge people’s motivations for their actions, but as an AA woman who tries to be honest, I think it’s obvious our community suffers from alot of self-hate and motivates our desire to move away from our “blackness”. I think our community is proud to be “called” black, but I don’t think it’s proud to “look” black. The above men and their selections aren’t the source of my comments. It just happens to be something that I’ve observed in the AA community for years. Do you or don’t you agree?

It’s sad. As I’ve stated on other posts, we aren’t the only colored people w/this “self-hatred” problem. But, we seem to have some serious self-destructive tendencies b/c of it. And, that makes me more upset than anything. I love to use Indians as an example b/c they have the same colors as blacks and the same color issues as blacks. But, that hasn’t stopped them from becoming successful, productive, and masters of their own destiny. They don’t rely on sports/entertainment for advancement the way we do. And, look at them. They are practically the top at everything they do. They are REALLY racist (and the blackest people in color), yet they usually outperform whites and everyone else. We AAs need to get a clue.
