Those animals need to be punished, as so, the higher ranked animals that directed them to do it,, it has nothing to do with this young man, that is serving his country, and doing the job that he agreed to do, You dont know this man, not everyone is a heartless animal, there are still some descent law abiding people in this world that are doing the best they can with what they have.

No matter how you feel about the war, we should always respect the men and women who are putting their lives on the line every day. They are making the ultimate sacrifice for their country, and that is nothing to belittle or degrade.

Some people are naive in thinking that.

Homosapiens have been around 500,000 years. Yes war and conflict has existed every since then. Think about that for a second and then realize the human condition is not perfect. YES IT’S ABOUT SELF INTEREST. However think about this, if your government didn’t care about the self-interest of your country and became to involved in the interests of OTHER NATIONS over it’s own, is that effective government and can that government properly provide for the people it’s meant to server.

From the tone of a lot of these posts you act like simply having a standing army is a sin. The military is an important apprattus of the government and the government at times can misuse it or have bad judgment. However, the military itself is a tool and the people who volunteer to be a functioning part of the military to help perserve and protect the self-interest of the united states are not at fault.

A lot of you people have a warped naive view of the world. THe united states is not the only country that functions like this. In fact all countries do and once the government starts not care about the self-interest of this country is the day our system will fail.

I normally don’t respond to posts made on this site…but after reading only half of what was written…I am overwhelmed with emotion. How can some of you be so heartless? This man does not deserve to die…service members volunteer to protect this countries freedom…and fight for this country. If no one stepped up to the plate to protect this land…what do you think would become of this country. I am a service member. I’ve been in the military since I was 17 years old, and I dont regret a day of my enlistment. I’ve sacrificed so much for this country…and I cant believe half of what I am reading. We are sisters, mothers daughters, brothers, fathers, sons, uncles, and aunts. I have been aways from my daughter for damn near a year to defend my country. What the hell have you done with your life? What can you say you did for your country? Not a damn thing! I hope some of you wake up…and quit being so damned ignorant. The Kurds in Northern Iraq and Marsh Arabs (Shia) are no longer persecuted by Saddam Husseins government. Some girls are attending school in Afghanistan. This was not possible under the Taliban. The ethnic minorities in Afghanistan are not as persecuted as they were under the Pashtun Taliban government. There are many other improvements as well, but not as much good has been done as should have been because the U.S. has been opposed by people who do not want peace and stability in Iraq and Afghanistan, which is what the U.S. wants and is working toward.
