Word on the street is Akon may have just welcomed home a baby boy by a woman from Uganda whose name is Susan Owori whom he chopped down while on tour.

This will make baby number six for Akon who claims he loves kids and never runs away from his responsibility. When asked about his many children he said:

“I think kids are a blessing, [To set the record straight], I never ran away from my responsibilities and I never plan to. Everything I am doing now is for [my other five kids] anyway, so the more kids I can have, the better. I just love them.”

Akon is said to have a pretty decent relationship with his new baby mama and according to friends the baby is “handsome as hell.” We wonder if he jumped on the Nas bandwagon and got a gang of gift cards for his BM’s too!

These “artists” always act like things are NEVER going to change. They expect that they will always be relevant in the business and make lots of money.

That’s not true because you may be hot today and the checks stop coming in tomorrow. We see it all the time. Whether the checks come or not, those children will need to be taken care of…. even if you are broke.

It used to be a time where a man would marry a woman, then have kids and provide a safe, healthy foundation for their children and be IN their childrens lives and just not APART of their lives. I guess the new thing is to have as many kids as you want and as long as they are taken care of financially and you VISIT them often you are a good and responsible parent.

Of course he keeps up a “good relationship” with the many mothers of his children and his many wives. He thinks because he’s from Senegal he can live in the U.S. and still have as many wives as he wants. It’s just as f***ed up to do it over there as it is over here…maybe it would be different if women could have four husbands, too!

Just to clarify in case people don’t know, in Senegal men are still legally allowed to have up to four wives, and he is from Senegal. So on the one hand, he is having these kids in a responsible way. On the other hand, it doesn’t make the law right, and a lot of people in Senegal (I used to live there) disagree with it and think it’s a blast from the past.
