L.A. Reid Shuts Down Rumors That Tamar Braxton Was Dropped From Epic Records

We EXCLUSIVELY reported back in May that Tamar Braxton was not dropped from her record label despite rumors following her dramatic exit from “The Real.”

According to The Daily Mail Online:

Unfortunately, Tamar’s solo music career is also looking bleak. Her most recent CD ‘Calling All Lovers’ has only sold a fraction of the sales of her previous effort, ‘Love and War,’ and her record company Epic Records had quietly dropped her from its roster.

‘Sadly, there’s no solo career to concentrate on. After being previously dropped from five record labels prior to landing at Epic, she’s now been dropped a sixth time and will have to start all over again,’ the source revealed.

So, did Tamar really just lose her 6th record deal? BOSSIP reached out to a high-ranking exec at Epic Records about the gossip and can exclusively report that the news is completely false!

“Tamar didn’t get dropped. The rumors are not true.” says the Epic executive

Chairman and CEO of Epic Records, L.A. Reid, spoke to Hip Hollywood at the BET Awards this past weekend and confirmed what we told you a month ago:

“No, that’s not true … major key, don’t listen to the gossip,” Reid revealed.

And there you have it! At least Tamar kept one gig in tact. And now that she’s signed with Steve Harvey to produce her own show, she’ll have another chance at daytime talk real soon.

Tamar is still making music on you haters!
