…The Atlanta Journal-Constitution conducted a pretty thorough investigation on these types of situations, examining documents that described everything from “Rapes by OB/GYNs, seductions by psychiatrists, fondling by anesthesiologists and ophthalmologists, and molestations by pediatricians and radiologists.” Victims ranged in age, from babies to the elderly, and what the AJC shared in their very enthralling report was that doctors get away with these things for varying reasons. One is because those abused often say nothing. Because, video of police shootings of innocent Black men, seemed to suggest that the outside world, law enforcement specifically, doesn’t seem to respect or value the lives of people who look like me. Not only is it physical warfare. For those of us witnessing this trauma, it’s also psychological.
