Kesha Nichols, the bride that was dumped through e-mail by Richard Jefferson, was on “Good Morning America” interviewed by Diane Sawyer. She says that a lot had happened in the past month and after they talked the night before, which was about 5 days before the wedding, she wasn’t surprised when she received the e-mail… She seems hurt, but at the same time, Richard Jefferson probably cut her a big check!!!

First Richard Jefferson did a call-in to Howard Stern:

Richard Jefferson: We had broken up and gotten back together, broken up and gotten back together so many times that I didn’t want to make this decision and then two days later say ok look, I’m sorry. It was a decision I had to make and stick by it.

Diane Sawyer: It wasn’t an entire surprise to you?

Kesha Nichols: No… It wasn’t; just a troubled weekend. It was a month of four funerals that we had to attend between our two families and wedding showers and traveling back and forth, but it just all came to ahead that weekend. We had the discussion on Sunday night and I had flown back to New York. He had just confirmed in an e-mail, what we had both spoken about the night before.

Sawyer also asked her about the ring?

Kesha Nichols: The ring is mine, the ring was a gift and my grandparents have it in North Carolina right now.

She also asked Kesha if she has talked to Richard?

Kesha Nichols: I have not . One thing we agreed on, was that if we called off the wedding, he would not call me. He would let me have this time on my own to start over and not have him in my life, and not have him change his mind and say “oh let’s get back together.” It was a final decision, and he stuck to his word. So, I haven’t spoken to him in two weeks and two days.

Then Sawyer asked if she was angry?

Kesha Nichols: Not angry at all. Honestly, Richard did not do this to me, he did it for me. He cared about me and realized that this was not a relationship that we both needed to be in. He was just the one to verbalize what we both knew in our hearts.

We know Kesha wasn’t working and she didn’t seem to upset about it, so for Richard standing her azz by e-mail… Pretty sure that is costing him a nice chunk of change. Maybe that’s what’s making it so easy for her to move on because she has a lot of extra zero’s in that bank account.

A woman who TRULY loved a man she was about to marry would be angry at the fact that he called the wedding off and find out why.

I’m baffled at the part of the interview that I saw where she was saying that she has spent “so much of her money” and resources throughout the relationship and during the planning of the wedding. Uhmmmmmm, what money is she talking about? That wedding alone cost close to a milli and she is/was a DANCER for the Nets. They don’t even make enough to live on. I feel that a woman that loves her man but yet realize that the relationship was not working and had known it for months would let him go and be content with the decision. Some guys are just *****ty, as are some women. Some men are just spoiled and have a sense of entitlement – cheating, whenever they feel and thinking ALL should be forgiven because “I’m a man! We’re weak, meaning, that is supposed to make it acceptable for me to not be respectful, honest and considerate of your feelings!”; as are some women – feeling like just because they gave it up, they are entitled to a commitment and thinking it’s the law the they should be taken care of.

Yes, certain experiences can influence one’s behavior, positively and negatively, but we ALL have common sense, know right from wrong and are not FORCED to lie or be in a relationship with anyone.

I read somewhere that she got 6 figures, but I’m not sure. I’m glad Rich didn’t marry her….clearly he wasn’t ready. Just like a bunch of rich dudes who get married just because America says you should be married……and they cheat all day and night.

First of all, Kesha and Richard are both bi-racial, so the comments about white women and black men need to stop. I am related to Kesha and know this for a fact. Kesha is NOT, I repeat NOT a gold-digger. She did put her career on hold to stay with Richard when he got traded to Milwaukee and supported his career. They were a very loving couple. The decision to cancel the wedding was mutual. They had had a very difficult previous couple of weeks, with our grandmother dying and several other funerals in both families. Everyone just needs to take a few steps back and consider what they both go through in their lives: the publicity, the heartache, the slander, the humiliation… Kesha is a sincere, loving, giving, honest and extremely talented lady. Anyone who really knew her would not say these awful things about her.

To all you stupid racial idiots who don’t have sense enough to realize the black atheletes undoubtedly don’t mind the white girl allowance, “they have to pay out” if thats how your simple mind has to see it. Maybe you should step back and ask yourself why you see the atheletes or anyone else who wants a relationship without alot of drama. Maybe thats why they step outside of their own race. Instead of being the simple minded one downing someone you don’t know and will never be able to compete with. And by the way she isn’t a white girl, she has a black dad and a white mom and is a pretty girl so look in the mirror as Michael says and then you might have the good sense to answer your own question

And by the way my husband is black and we have two beautiful babies that God blessed us with. People are people and God made us all, we don’t control who our hearts fall for. Hopefully someday you will be blessed with a loving man and won’t be blind enough to let color stand in your way until then my husband says, suck his black *****.
