“A Different World” star Jasmine Guy’s financial problems are getting worse.

The state of Georgia just hit the actress with a tax lien accusing her of refusing to pay up on $9,000 in back taxes, this following the IRS’s demand that she pay up $40,000 they claimed she failed to pay them.

According to recently filed court documents, the Georgia Department of Revenue filed a state tax lien against the actress, accusing her of screwing them out of taxes owed for the years 2010 & 2012.

They explain she owes them a total of $3,199.83 for 2010 and $5,599.43 for 2012, for a grand total of $8,799.26.

Her original unpaid tax debt totaled $4,833 but with years of interest, penalty fees, collection costs and other fines the total swelled to close to $9,000.

The lien explains that if she doesn’t pay up on the tax debt, they will begin the process of seizing her property and assets to collect on their money.

Guy has suffered a series of money problems over the years. She filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy back in 2009, claiming her ex-husband left her with a ton of debt in their divorce.

Then in 2014, she was hit with several federal tax liens over unpaid taxes for 2008, 2010 and 2012. The grand total of unpaid taxes came out to $39,124.73.

Then earlier this year, the IRS filed another lien against Guy, accusing her of failing to pay her taxes for the years 2008 and 2012. The lien — filed in Georgie — states that she owes $13,721.26 for 2008 and $13,802.60 for 2012. The grand total for her unpaid taxes comes to $27,523.86.
