Stephen A. Smith Reveals That NFL Is Paid By U.S. Gov’t To Play National Anthem
As we watched ESPN’s First Take this morning, we heard the oft-slandered Stephen A. Smith drop jewels about the NFL’s business partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense in regards to the National Anthem.
A lot of people have been real high-and-mighty about their alleged “patriotism” ever since Colin Kaepernick decided to cop a squat as America’s theme song played before football games. One of those people is Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones who said this in an interview with 105.3 The Fan:
“The forum of the NFL and the forum on television is a very significant thing” said Jones. “I’m for it being used, in every way we can, to support the great contributors in our society – that is people that have supported America, and the flag … For anybody to use parts of that visibility to do otherwise is really disappointing.”
Well, the Cowboys are a disappointing team, so I guess we’re all a lil’ sad.
However, Jerry failed to mention this part during his soliloquy about “supporting America”…
All of this “love of country” is fueled by the REAL American National Anthem, the sweet sound a cash counting machine.
What could possibly be more American than THAT?! SMH.
It’s gonna be real interesting to watch “T.H.E.Y.” contort themselves like Cirque du Soleil performers to explain why Kaep was/is STILL wrong. Suckas.
